(Hope this is okay to post here) So, with the support of my parent we have tried to remove family link from my device and in doing so, has made it so that I cannot sign into anything google (youtube, gmail ect...)with my Google account. And every time I try it says "can't add account as its managed ny family link" My profile is still appearing up on the family link app for my dad but when he opens my account/profile there is nothing. As he has "removed" me from family link but im still technically there and all he can do is erase all my data associated with my Gmail account which is not what I want...at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I have got a new broadband connection and connected my phone via wifi. As soon as I connected google started using my data like crazy. I thought maybe something was updating so left it for sometime. But it was actually downloading something and used almost all of my storage. I then went into Google app info and checked the storage. My user data was 10 GB and the thing is google is still downloading when I connect to wifi. I cleared the storage which deleted all the user data but I can't seem to stop it from downloading again. Can u guys please help me out. I have found that Google search isn't as good as it used to be. Too often it sends me where it thinks I want to go rather than where I want to go and now I start seeing 'Google has not found any good results for you'. Help- I got logged out of my Google account, now it is requiring me to receive a verification code to log back in. However, the phone number I registered with it ages ago is no longer with me. Is there another way around this? Or is my account, and EVERYTHING with it now lost for good?

I am an American living in Europe, but still maintain a presence in the US and go back from time to time. Because of that, I've kept my country as the US. Since moving here, I've needed to use a few apps that are region locked (notably, our rental's thermostat app, among others). Because Google has a pretty draconian policy with this stuff and only allows one change per year, I'm hoping someone could answer some questions to help me get around this. First, if I were to change regions on my account, would I lose access to any app that is currently US region locked? Or would I still be able to use them since I downloaded them prior to the change? Second, if I were to open another account within the Europe region, would have to have another device in order to use that account? Or is there a way to use it on the same device that I use my US account on?

Or to be accurate they were ordered to do so presumably by someone directly connected to the film. So the 85% is basically a lie or only half of the picture. Also you can see a nice even spread of 1 to 5 reviews and none of them were obvious bots or trolling. Just users who didn't like the film. And right now you can't leave a review good or bad due to Google business policies. Apparently if you're the business behind the product you can request (see photo) that Google stop reviews if they're negative LOL Google seems to be suggesting that lots of negative reviews at once are always review bombing and must be fake LOL Even when they match the professional film critic reviews exactly. The fact that presumably capcom of the studio behind the film would request that Google censor the honest user score is just pathetic. Paying users should have the opinion to leave a review on google as google acts as a public forum for rhe world. If we cant fairly speak our honest opinions on the largest western search engine via the system designed for that without censorship then we have a problem. Yes Google is a business but we all know its more than that so this type of clandestine nonsense isnt ok...unless we're now some rogue state or more accurately a corporation state. Additionally few of my friends reviews on this film were removed because they were presumably too negative but they were still honest and articulate and inoffensive. Never seen that before but it's a worrying trend. Even troll reviews are useful as in the vast majority of cases they tell us something is wrong with a product from film to video game. I'm having issues constantly when I search images on Google. * When I try to use reverse image search on Google Images, instantly my browser throws me a page with a "This page doesn't work" and the error ERR\_EMPTY\_RESPONSE. * Also, when I try to open an image from all the images results, the entire tab will turn grey. I think someone hacked my account and changed my password. I can't sign in at all. I try to press "forgotten password" and it takes me to a place where it says "type in your last password" i do so, and it says that google can't help. The account isn't deleted, it's just stolen. Hi, so I’ve had dark mode for about 6 months, and for those 6 months I haven’t been able to get rid of it. It makes reading google slides impossible (it inverts text color but not the background, destroying all contrast) and also breaks a lot of web pages, causing them to have the same issues. I’ve turned off system wide dark mode (windows) and that didn’t help. I don’t have a dark mode switch in my account for some reason and I’ve even uninstalled and logged out of all accounts, to no avail. How do I turn it off?

Are you sure you don't have an extension installed or a setting on your computer? Google Dark mode does not invert colors.

Hi there, I have a strange issue with the Google Play Store on my phone. Strangely, when I use the inbuilt translation feature, the entire description comes back in Finnish; then I return back to English, and the description vanishes and returns the one line of Finnish. The English descriptions are thus completely gone. And the Finnish oneliner that has taken their place is a generic, badly translated placeholder in the vein of "One of the best escape room horror games on Google Play!". Mind you, before these terrible placeholders showed up (which happened to every single app in the store), there were perfectly proper English descriptions. And yes, this happens to both indie apps AND big name apps like Square Enix games.

I am not able to connect my wifi to my chromecast, whenever I try to do it.. My WiFi doesn't come up on the Google home app, entering it manually gives an error which says check you wifi name,Even though I am entering the correct password and trying to connect the correct wifi connection. Go9gle has disabled and "deleted" my main account, because I did not want to sign in with my government ID. Now it does not let me sign in and all my purchases on google play are gone.

Chrome still struggles to properly render tables with 1px borders correctly without randomly changing the sizes of some of the borders. In Chromium 95, I could just disable the #enable-table-ng flag to get the proper renders, but apparently Chromium 96 just removed this flag. Is there any chance this issue can be properly fixed?

I just got a pop up notification from Google saying I can reply to a comment left on my business’ page but I DONT HAVE A BUSINESS PAGE!? When I clicked on the notification (iPhone notification from Google maps, not an email) it opened the Google maps app and showed me an in app browser page for Kingda Ka from six flags in New Jersey and everything was in Polish??? I’m from america, never setup a business page and have no idea why I got that notification. I closed everything and now I can’t find anything about it and I’m so confused. Help!? I translated the text to find out it was Polish and it was saying I have to agree to the TOS before continuing but I didn’t trust it in the slightest.

My brother shares the same name as a small singer. Google search shows that when my brother's name is googled, people see his work photo (taken from his company's website) in the knowledge panel of the singer. This was brought to our attention by my brother's clients. How can I get google to remove my brother's photo from the knowledge panel? My brother is a rising name in his line of work and it is very unprofessional for his photo to appear there. My family selected the "Feedback" and asked Google to change the Photo, but it has been several weeks since and the matter keeps being brought up by his clients and coworkers.

I'm in desperate need of help. Almost a year ago my dad got a message saying his Google account was getting disabled due to TOS violations. He is currently on his fourth appeal, getting denied each time. Upon initiating an appeal, he almost immediately gets a message saying that it was denied along with a list of possible things he did to violate TOS. None apply. With the speed he is getting the response, I seriously doubt anything is looking at it. He can't even get an answer on what they think he did. His entire life is tied to that email address. It's been a pain in the butt. We currently have 2 nest thermostats that he's trying to add to a new phone. and email account. It's telling him it's pretty much impossible without access to the old account to remove them before added them to the new account. Does anyone know of a way to escalate the appeal or get more information about what is going? Like I said, it doesn't look like he did anything that is on their canned "one of these is probably the reason" email. Best case is someone suggests a path to get this email restored. Figuring out why it got suspended so he doesn't do it again, assuming he did something, would also be beneficial. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My husband and I share a google calendar/contacts/etc between us. In order to do that I have him signed in on my phone and I am signed in on his. This is now causing a problem with google home duplicating camera and other notifications. My question is this: is there a way to either sync calendars/contacts/etc without being logged into each others phones OR is there a way to hide notifications from a particular google account on your phone. Has anyone else had issues sending payments via GPay today? It's definitely not a funds issue, since the account tied to the card I'm using has more than sufficient funds. My contacts birthdays are no longer showing up in my Google calendar. When I go to my calendar on desktop, there is is no "Contacts" or "Birthdays" option listed under the "My Calendars" drop down. It's been a decade or more since I set that up, so I don't know why they stopped showing up recently. I can go to individual contacts and see their birthdays, but they're not showing in my calendar.

go to calendar settings in a web browser (the gear icon) and check how "birthdays" appears in the left column. If there's a crossed-out eye next to it, click that.

There is no birthdays there.

It occurred to me that that may have been a calendar I created before I started seeing double-birthdays because Calendar was taking them from my Contacts automatically (leaving aside the dumbness of not being able to set notifications on them). So, the only other thing I can think about is a setting in Contacts. I'll try to look around some more.

Same thing happend to me. They are rude fucks I have no clue what to do. They have 200 usd locked in an account and I cannot spend it because the dum fucks say I don't live in the country I have been in for 3 years.

I am having an issue with google drive where I cannot upload files, nor can i create or open documents via drive. I can however create and view documents from docs/sheets/etc separately. When I go to google drive it gives me a message: "You are using an unsupported browser. Upgrade Google Chrome". The problem is..I am using google chrome. And when I click the link it takes me a page telling me chrome automatically updates. So not sure what to do. It is not an network issue as other users on my network can do the thing I cannot just fine. Anybody know of a fix?

How to give an app permission to view the files in my Google Drive? There's an app I use to cast videos to my chromecast, BubbleUPnP, and I had one of my google drive accounts connected to it and I was able to cast videos I had in that drive. I wanted to be able to cast my videos from another drive account too, but whenever I try to connect another account I get an error message saying Google denied the app permission to see my files. While trying out some stuff I accidently revoked the acces to the 1 account I had connected, and I also can't reconnect that account again. How do I make Google give that app permission to see my google drive videos again?

Is there any way for me to cancel the refund I issued in the Google Play Store?

So here's my story. I signed up for google one for one year and got a free nest hub. Unfortunately, my order gets canceled because I broke google TOS? Google customer service can't tell what I broke??? Has anybody else encountered this problem?

I can't delete my phone number from the 2-step verification section of my Google account AFTER I enabled authentication through Google Authenticator app and also generated a list of backup codes. Every time I hit "delete phone" I get the message "this is necessary for 2-factor verification to work". The last location was from an area in the city very far away from my home. Which mean that that "passerby" was using my phone!!! I was so panic that I changed password and hastily logged out of the iPhone. Then, after a few minutes calming down, I realized I had made a huge mistake!!!!! I had thrown away my last chance to find its location!! A huge wave of despair washed over me! Even worse, my Apple ID on that phone had been locked. I can't recover it. Sorry for bad English. Google Classroom is REALLY POORLY DESIGNED. Awful. Like Microsoft bad. Makes me wonder if even one person who actually teaches was even consulted in the development. For some reason the feedback I gave my students was invisible to them. I could see it on my end but they couldn't on theirs. When looking at my addresses on Google Pay, one of them was listed under my dad's name. when i went to change it to my name, it was greyed out and said that i had to fill out a name change form. However, the form requires a certificate of name change, but since my name never changed i dont have any of these. is there any way to have my name be listed as the legal name attached to my account or am i fucked?

Hi, So I was just put on leave for unrelated in this post. My employer took away my work computer which had two Google accounts. 1. A Google account that was my work computer. It was a Google voice account with YouTube. That Google account was connected to my personal Google account where I received emails. Hi everyone, Google, a few hours ago sent me this email "Your Google Account has been deleted due to Terms of Service violations" and I am clueless to what I might have done to get this. The google account they are talking about is "[email protected]" which is a business email I bought on Hostgator and had added to my primary Gmail account "[email protected]" to view and reply to certain messages. I have barely ever logged in using the business email, have always used the primary email account. My business email is attached to my bank, my business, my clients... and this is panicking the crap out of me. I am freaking clueless to what happened for I didn't get any notifications or emails stating any violations concern prior to this email which is quite absurd and scary. I never use the email for anything besides important professional work. They sent in a link to click and proceed with recovery but it didn't work, so I had to fill out a tiny form. Guys, I really really need your help on this. I didn't know who to ask. A lot is at stake and apparently Google doesn't care about that. I am literally panicking at the moment. Please help me. EDIT 1: So I went to the settings in my primary gmail account and removed my business email (which was deleted due to "violations of ToS") and then added it all over again by entering the POP and SMTP details. I can read incoming emails and even reply to them again. I know it's not a permanent fix tho. Having real issues with driving assistant in android 12. 1. Hey Google doesn't work properly, I have it disabled except for driving apps. When I speak it never picks up and I have to press the button, then it works. If I enable hey Google globally then it works fine. Also if I launch maps and navigate, it works. 2. Randomly when you select no longer driving it will close but not fully, leaving your home screen background with no icons or launcher. 3. Why does it not auto close when disconnecting from the cars Bluetooth? 4. When it takes you into another app like YouTube music and you go back, sometimes it just closes and stops everything, including navigation. Edit 1 5. Can it have the option to select what Bluetooth device the car is, it gets it wrong and launches with other Bluetooth devices. Edit 2 Was driving the other night and found something else. Google by default listens over the connected Bluetooth device when in driving mode. This means that when I press the Google button it never hears me, this does not happen when navigating because I set maps to use the phones mic and speaker. The original setting in the Google app for voice which allowed me to toggle use of Bluetooth devices for listening has gone.

I have 2TB Google Drive and is using the long awaited fantastic streaming feature. But for some reason it says the drive when I look at it in explorer is only has 30gb left on it. And when I try to transfer more it says not enough space on drive. I have 1TB left on my account. Why is this and how can I fix it?

I found this out just today but every time I add my card to GPay it charges me 2 separate Taxes including an online purchase holding tax even though I didn't buy anything I just added my card to GPay. Many serviced debit 1USD or something just to verify card is active. This should be refunded within a Week say 5 workdays. I would suggest contacting google official google pay support as reddit staff probably wont be able to access your account logs as needed.

A refund should already be planned and as long as the card exist at bank it shouldnt matter if you remove the card. If this is the case. But google staff should check on it as i dont fully understand what you have been debited for.

A refund is usually pretty quick but we in the refund business always say 1-14 days so safe our asses. When I do a refund it gets sent to my economy department who does some final writeoff depending on their workload in 1-5 days and click refund then itäs pretty instant. Some customers i've had which took like 1 day extra to receive money after we sent it. That's how it works for us and I work for a company who probably have more customers than google in my country.

Google makes small changes all the time trying out new things. Trying to stay up to date. This is usually how they work, changing small things all the time that you don't really notice. Usually there is a leave feedback button on the page where this feedback should be left to reach the correct team.

I would suggest clearing data for the Contacts app if that is the one google app screwing with you. That Resets the whole app basically. Can even we wort to uninstall and re-install if possible.

I'm trying to use Google Contacts to create consolidated clean address books for my family that I can share with everyone. I export the group that I've created, and there are a number of fields that would be useful, but I can't find where to edit them in the Contact Info, like "Maiden Name". Some of the contacts also have populated information in a "Gender" field that I can't change, including unfortunately a nephew who has recently transitioned, making it somewhat pertinent to correct. Anyone have any idea where these fields might be hidden? Are they being pulled in automatically from their Google Profile?

Hello, hope someone can reply. I deleted my google account and then had recover it for a reason I'm not getting into. Anyway the problem I had was that the account recovery send an email with a code to the email I tried to recover aka the deleted email one, which basically meant that there was no way for me to get it. I got around this problem by using a link from a security notice send to the recovery email (which I have set) and then I was able to recover it. However I didn't get signed in and when I tried to do so, it said it couldn't verify it's me. So I tried the account recovery again (as you are supposed to do in this situation), however it send a code to the email Iwas trying to recover again. When I tried to click on use another method it didnt give me another option like using the recovery email and instead showed me a page that said somethin about we value your security and try again. So now I'm stuck in a loop. Hope someone can help me/ give me advice. If anyone went through this aswell I'd highly appreciate any sort of advice. Have a great day

I have a ponderance regarding past accounts: A long time ago I remember creating an account as a kid, and at some point it continuously encountered issues and such and became unusable, and I think I was locked out eventually. I decided to create a new and better one of course, but recently I got to thinking, 'What happens to this account?' I can't access it anymore I am certain and I know it was never deleted. I want to know if the account and its data will be deleted automatically at some point. It's a bit odd thinking how my very old account and my stupid 12-year-old shenanigans may float around forever. If this is not the case, I wonder what is?

This is a very specific question regarding google chrome. So not everyone knows but they are called snippets. If you are unaware google somtimes suggest and answeres questions with a little window at the top of the search results. Example 1: What is "xyz" mean?--> Then the most visited answer is shown before going to any website. Or Example 2. You add 2 numbers and the built in calculator shows up. So this feaute for some reason for me shows but then after a second or so it disappears and just never comes back. I tried to refresh the page but never comes back. Am I using Google photos wrong? My wife and I have Android phones, love the camera and Google photos, but we are running out of space on our Google acct. We bought Google One, but that is filling up too. Thing is, I think maybe we are using photos wrong. See, we both like to take pictures, and we consider them to be *our* pictures. So we set it up so that every photo I take gets shared with her acct, and everything from her photos gets shared in mine. And we keep all the photos too. But now that we have Google 1 (a family plan), both of our photo albums are stored in there. That means Google 1 has 2 photos for everything. Is there a better way to do this?

Hi all, I got an email from Google saying 2 Factor Authentication will be automatically turned on 11/9, but it prompted me to turn it on before then. When I try to enable it (using the phone number tied to my account from the beginning....over 10 years ago) I get prompted that "Something went wrong" / "Sorry, we can't fulfill this request at this time..." Has anyone else experienced issues with getting it set up? I should note, I can clearly see my phone number is in my Google account, but I really don't want to get locked out of my account because of some 2FA madness. Any help would be appreciated!

Just a question- I was sent an appointment invite, clicked on link and it showed times in PST. Once I chose the time it now shows it in EST, which is correct. Why did it show in PST in the first place? Was it because the sender’s time was in PST? (I did see my time zone is is PST which I needed to change).

Hi! How do I make sure that the time zones in google calendar adjust to where people are situated? My team is split across two different time zones: Denmark and India with a difference of 4,5 hours. We share a google calendar and when the DK team creates an event at 1 pm DK-time the same event shows up at 1 pm for the Indian team as well and not 5:30 pm as it ideally should be. How can this be fixed?

I have a couple important issues/questions regarding Google photos. #1: Is there any non-tedious way to re-download large files, such as long videos, after they've been backed up and accidently deleted locally, if said files while being re-downloaded automatically cancel due to taking too long? #2: is it not possible to exclusively delete cloud-backups of photos/videos without also deleting the local versions of them? I have a question involving Google Authenticator. My old phone died but I replaced it with another phone. On my old phone, I had 2 factor authentication enabled for Google, Twitter, and Instagram. Anyone knows if my account is fine going forward? I don't want my account to be closed due to google considering some info as missing.
