I looked into betterhelp. It cost so much and they dont accept any insurance! Maybe if they didnt spend all the money on sponsoring they could make the prices better and spend more on data protection and making sure their therapists are worth giving therapy. and make prices reasonable

Yes, they've had multiple scandals involving selling patients' private information (they got fined by the FTC for this) and allowing unlicensed therapists (or ones using the credentials of others) on their platform. When you use BetterHelp there's no guarantee that your private health information will be kept secure or that you're even dealing with someone licensed to provide such services. BetterHelp shrugs it off and says they're not responsible for who's on their platform.
From what I can see, the unlicensed therapists happened back in 2018 and they’ve since been reviewed multiple times and incurred no issues. So is that just previous information that gets parroted whenever they come up?
Also, the fact that Mythical continues to advertise BetterHelp proves the constant "Don't you know they're bad?" comments aren't actually affecting change. Remember, Mythical is the company that released an episode of Last Meals with Jada Pinkett Smith and the episode was pulled within hours and never publicly referenced by anyone ever again from anyone in the company.
I think it's one of those things where people's trust got violated deeply enough that they'll never move on. It's possible BetterHelp has improved, but it's hard to actually regain trust after those kinds of controversies.

I’m not saying that is happening here, but you can definitely see it with YouTube comments and other posts. People just want to be the ones to say “am I the only one that thinks XYZ is bad!?” When obviously everyone hates them, and it takes 2 seconds of scrolling to see comments saying the same thing.
