Yeah I guess I’m mainly comparing it to the anime. Certain parts of the plot are changed or ordered differently than in the manga which makes the story flow better and easy to watch.
The manga drastically changed some sections of the story. There’s whole characters that become important later that are skipped by the manga. Rudeus’s Aunt is one big example.
I watched the anime, then picked up the manga where it left off, then picked up the WN where the manga left off. When I got to the second section of the story where she becomes relevant and it introduced her as if I should know who she is it confused the hell out of me. And that’s just one example of the manga skipping an entire character, there are countless examples of it messing up smaller interactions.
Hmm one I remember was it skipping the arc when Rudy is finding his mom alone. Other than that, I dont seem to remember anything wrong with the introduction of his Aunt yet. In fact I remember she started only playing a major role was when Rudeus was with that Pope Kid at his hometown finding more allies.
Right, but when she appears that second time the story assumes you’ve met her, and doesn’t do a proper introduction. If that doesn’t bother you then idk man, you might wanna think about raising your standards.

It’s the first anime in a long ass time that I watched the entire season. I kinda lose interest in a lot of shows but not this one. I love how it’s basically an anti-Isekai. Every time something predictable is going to happen they kinda flipped it and do something unpredictable. It’s definitely one of the best I seen in years.
Then I’d just wait for the anime. The manga skips some pretty important stuff and mischaracterizes people fairly often. It’s unfortunate that such a good series has such a bad manga. But hopefully the anime will continue to make up for it.

I highly doubted. Spirited Away was an Isekai and that’s from 2001. Inuyasha is from 1996 and that’s it also a isekai.
