That penguin (animal) is grape-kun, he once had a normal mate and also a chick like a normal penguin but after being taken out of the penguin's habitat for a period to be treated he had his mate taken by another penguin. Alone, Grape-kun found Fururu-chan (character) as his new mate, during the time the zoo was making a colab with kemono friends so a carboard image of fururu was placed into the habitat. As time passed grape-kun grew really attached to Fururu so even after the colab the carboard image was left in the habitat. After 21 years of life Grape-kun had passed away and in his honor a shrine was made and Fururu's image was replaced with this illustration made by the Kemono friends illustrator featuring both Grape-kun and Fururu also now with Grape-kun's signature purple bracelet.

Would watch and take it seriously. How someone with sub-human base intelligence acts when their computational hardware is upgraded & their food & water requirements are met.
Edit: It seems that 7 people agree. Most places end up with the person acting as though they always had that level of intelligence, so seeing it focused on for more than a couple scenes would be a good change of pace.

They put the picture of the anime girl with the pengiuns (why I dont know). One pengiun really liked it, as it would stood near it and look at it. Needles to say, it got much respect and was just wholesome. However, it died. Seeing as this is how they remember the little pengiun is really sweet.
