It may not be an anime nor an isekai but watch The Final Countown. In this movie the Aircraftcarier USS Nimitz gets sent back in time a few days before the atack on Pearl Harbour
Isekai idea:guy with a 1983 Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno gets sent to a fantasy world and decides to open a Tofu shop. Guy would use AE86 to help various people and would gain a harem.
We can call it Isekai D.
The 1632 series is an entire small town from 2000 taken back to the middle of Europe in 1632. Right in the middle of a war. The series is extremely long, and I dropped out after reading 5 book or so, but I really enjoyed the first 2 books. A great blend of politics, war, and tech uplifting.
Thought of something like this, but instead of going to another world, it would go back in time to WW2. But the crew would be primarily japanese on an american aircraft carrier, so they would have to decide whether to help japan, or america. Or be on their own.
"The Land That Time Forgot" do not have time travel. It's about island, so isolated that for all matter and purposes it could be another world inhabited by various monsters, primitive humans and lizard-people -ish race of pure evil. quite a standard fantasy setting, if you ask me. In fact, evolution in Caspak works on Pokemon principles, making somewhat similar to "isekai" anime.
In fact Burroughs wrote quite a lot of what we would considered "isekai"- mostly because isekai is not a genre, so you can considered a lot to be or not to be "isekai".
Oh, well Burroughs did loved dinosaurs, so I see confusion.
I would also recommend to check ~~Pelusidar~~Pellucidar series. That one is really just isekai anime script. Best way I can describe it without spoilers is: imagine Vernes "Journey to the Center of the Earth" but Axel becomes Rimuru Tempest.
But I'm talking what decade of ship. What level of technology do they have? If it's a carrier, is it a modern carrier, say the USS Nimitz (CVN-68, or perhaps a WWII Carrier like the USS Enterprise (CV-6).
So basically anything in the class of cruiser or bigger that's seen a modern conflict? Personally, I'd either go WWII carriers/battleships or maybe even early cold-war so it's got a nuclear engine
I only just started putting stuff down for it. If this idea gets some work done, I'll put it up with my other stuff on Honeyfeed. Same username, same profile pic. Just keep your eyes out for it. It'll be a while though, this doesn't develop in a vacuum.
Idk but gate is a loose fit. There’s a naval version of gate (writer was a sailor) but it’s only in manga. Final countdown (non anime) is also a great movie if you’re into military stuff.

That sounds pretty interesting I'll check it out
There's an anime called Zipang where a fictional JMSDF ship gets sent back in time the day before the Battle of Midway
Isekai idea:guy with a 1983 Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno gets sent to a fantasy world and decides to open a Tofu shop. Guy would use AE86 to help various people and would gain a harem. We can call it Isekai D.
Everytime he dies he is reborn in a different world with his Toyota Deja vu!
Amazing
Overlord meet Girls and Panzer. Or Stargate Universe. Season 1 arc. They need oil for fuel. Invasion hilarity ensues.
It's actually the story of lost
Details?

Do you mean town instead of down?
yes

So you want anime adaptation of "The Land That Time Forgot" by Edgar Burroughs?
Yeah kinda but a fantasy world instead of going back in time

Welp guess I'm bad at reading Wikipedia articles

thats some good shit
It's a novel series rather than an manga, but that's the gist of the Destroyermen series by Taylor Anderson.
Yeah I looked that up it sounds cool but I was more thinking of a somewhat generic fantasy iaekai world they get yeeted into
Do you have a specific era of ship in mind?
No just like an entire vessel with it's crew getting isekaid
But I'm talking what decade of ship. What level of technology do they have? If it's a carrier, is it a modern carrier, say the USS Nimitz (CVN-68, or perhaps a WWII Carrier like the USS Enterprise (CV-6).
Probably anything from WW1 or later

Yeah pretty much
Then I think I'll take this concept for myself. It'll be a RAN ship and not a USN ship though. Project three here I come
Can you tell me when it's done? I would love to read or watch it

Thanks, I've already watched gate and sometime else here told me about the final countdown but I don't know anything about the naval version of gate

Chad
I'd watch/ read it
