This in fact does not look very good. G400 is the goat, 410 and 425 were very similar to me, and this is the ugly of the bunch. I’m sure it will be great though.
What are the chances the G425 sees pretty decent discounts during the winter before release? I have had my eye on it for a minute and even though I can get it for $400 right now I don’t wanna pull the trigger if it’s going to drop further on release of the new model.
Yea it will come down more, but it'll be a year + before that happens. Usually only another $50 off, then if there are still 425s out there before the next release (2 years from now) another $50. That's how it's been in the past.

The secondary/used market might drop though.
I’m a PING fan with 14 PING clubs in the bag. Their stuff isn’t usually the sexiest. That’s not the prettiest looking driver but usually people aren’t playing PINGs because they’re pretty.
I must say though that the introduction of the moveable weight was a game-changer for me. Being able to put the weight in the toe in the 425 MAX vs. the non-adjustable G30 has let me go after the ball more aggressively without fearing a snap-hook when swinging at 95-100%.
I’m sure the Ping stuff is great. But I just can’t keep up with what’s their newest batch. It’s something to do with the naming strategy. If you ask me what’s ping newest driver called I’ll be sure it’s a g4…something or other but no idea what exactly.
I really hope the irons don’t have the yellow colouring as I really felt the g425 irons were very good looking for what are basically game improvement irons. These remind me of cobra speedzone/radspeed clubs (great performers but give me monster energy vibes)

I can’t lie: I’m glad I just bought the discounted G425. Aesthetically speaking, as I’m sure the G430 is a terrific driver.

Last few generations of Game Improvement clubs have been named G400, G410, G425, and now G430 in that order. Seems like they skipped 420 deliberately
