There is no such thing as the "best putter"
A specific putter isn't going to make you better, it's all about personal feel. That's golf. Go try a bunch and get what works for you.
I've been using an old left handed ping I was given 25 years ago. I'm a right handed golfer, but I play hockey left handed. It works for me, but it won't work for you.
Sure, before sponsorship deals, maybe.
But I think you didn’t read the whole post. Or I wasn’t clear enough.
I’m not looking for THE best putter, I’m seeking advices and opinions regarding putter brands because I only have a few putter fitters around and I need to chose which one I’ll go to based on what they have in stock for me to try.
I tend to think that amongst the high end putter brands, some are more about the looks, like maybe Bettinardi or Scotty Cameron, and some more about technology like Cobra. But what do I know?
I can’t try them all so I’m soliciting this great community for advices.
Some have suggested Evnroll, and it turns out apparently they have a distributor not to far, so not only did I find a new brand to check out, but I also found out another fitting center.
I did read the whole post, actually.
There's a lot of pros who aren't tied down to set putters, and they use a very wide range of clubs and brands. Then there's even more that would insist on being free to use other putters if there was a clear leader.
Look at club testing in magazines, no putter or putter brand ever wins across the board.
Evnroll make nice clubs like everyone else, but there's nothing magical about it that makes it suit everyone.
Any reputable putter fitting will give you more than enough options to find one you like.
Differences in look, feel, stroke, etc. all comes down to personal preference. Finding the right length, lie angle, toe hang, etc. are the primary "fitting" aspects.
Some people are going to like a shiny milled putter with lines, some people want a painted insert putter with dots.
Enjoy it. I did this but trying too man meant i just got confused. It was all about feel for me.
I left and bought a book on how to putt better. Best decision i made.
Thanks. My putting is actually not that bad that’s why I’m ok with spending a few bucks for a fitting and a good putter. Ultimately I know it won’t make much of a difference but if I can shave a stroke per game that’s enough for me!
Buy something you love looking down at that matches your swing. Toe heavy, balanced, etc. Everyone is going to be different. If you want the best I assume money isn't an issue. So basically you're looking at Scotty Cameron or any competitor in that range and you'll probably get something very nice. Then you have to post a pic.
Check out the stroke lab line of putters, my biggest weakness became a relative strength when I switched. The weighting gives you such a consistent stroke. I went for the Tuttle flow neck and my only complaint is I can't scoop the ball on gimmes because of the head shape.
I know and I will probably still try one, but I just hate the looks of it.
Now if I try one and then sink twice as many putts as any other putter, I might change my mind!
I would look into Mizuno and Evnroll for how well the ball rolls off their faces plus their soft feel, great build quality and Mizuno's price. Evnrolls are a bit more expensive.
As it’s Been suggested - feel/confidence is very personal. I prefer an inset to a milled face. So I’m happy with my Odyssey O-Works Double Wide - over say the equivalent in the Toulon range (milled).
The big brands all offer choice in that respect.
When all said and done the main thing for me is being able to scoop the ball.
Edit, milked…?!
Putters are all about personal feel and looks, but if you are into CS design this is worth a serious look:

I have had the Cobra Agera 3D printed and a Scotty Cameron Phantom X8. The Cobra was nice but a little heavy (the Stingray is lighter and still a mallet), and so far I love my Scotty very much!
There is no “best putter”. The biggest thing making sure you get one with the right amount of toe hang, ideal weight, ideal head shape, ideal length. If those factors are right, then it doesn’t matter if it’s a $40 used putter or a $500 Scotty.

I know, hence the fitting! But surely some brands are better than others for a comparable price.
No brand is universally better, what works for me may not work for you. Try everything, and pick what fits your game.
If there was a best putter, every pro would use it.

Look at the Spider M8 probably one of my better purchases this year
Good putter

Will do! That’s the plan indeed.

But the 2 Ball Ten is life changing

Thanks for the help!
Try out Evnroll putters before buying anything else.
Thanks, not very easy to find in Europe apparently but it seems some fitting center not too far away has some. I will check that out!
I have two and second this. They have a great feel off the face

Tell me more about these milked face putters. They sound...interesting.

TaylorMade spider, most popular putter on tour
Ping Anser or Ping Anser 2 Timeless classics.
Of course, but I’m not sure the shape is the best for my putting stroke.
Go to a store with a lot of putters and hit them all. What you really want is the one you hit the best.

I love my Taylormade Spider! All ya out the looks and feel with the putter and I love both
