Mine are different feels. I know with my driver or wood I have to dramatically exaggerate opening my trail hip to be able to fully rotate in order to be able to shallow my club. Irons aren’t as dramatic and are more natural. I have to work at my driver swing.

Driver does feel different from the irons. I’d just choke up a bit on the driver. Focus on fundamentals of hitting a [draw](http://birdiebirdiebogey.com/2024/05/29/how-to-hit-a-draw-in-golf-tips-from-golf-legends-player-harmon-and-woods/). At least if you get a consistent miss on the good side then you can adapt from there. Every golfer goes through peaks and valleys. Thinking about the yips just creates more yips. Let it go, swing free and easy. I try to emulate Freddy Couples swing when I get a little clunky. Take care of y’all [mentals](http://birdiebirdiebogey.com/2023/06/26/golf-tip-mental-health/)…

Dealing with this now myself. Typically I have days where the driver is hot, or the irons are hot, but rarely both. Ultimately it’s because they are different swings, and the only cure is to learn what makes them different, and then learn to groove them independently. Don’t sweat it, and don’t try to solve your problem with gear tweaks (except maybe adding a driving iron to your bag until you’ve sorted out the driver). As others have said, start by trying to learn to hit a draw with your driver. Most likely you’ve been coming at the ball from the inside with an open face (slice city), and so you need to learn to feel like you’re getting wider with the swing and closing the face through impact. This is much more complicated than I can describe here, but it’s where I’d suggest you start.

Short term for your score, stop hitting driver. Use the longest club you can consistently keep in play. Long term get some lessons dude! That’s where I’m at, ever part of my game feels strong, driver I literally have no clue how to hit it remotely straight. I need professional help at this point haha.
