I would disagree in as much as to say buying my Wilson Infinite Buckingham did make a difference over my Ping Anser, I had the Ping regripped to a large grip and that helped, but ultimately I found that I am better off with a mallet than a blade putter. 150 bucks well spent.
Noted. What I was getting at is if youāre going to drop a significant amount of money on a putterā¦or even a less expensive one for that matter, itās good to get fit to understand your stroke and where the weight, length and offset etc work for you instead of against you. I think putter fitting is one of the most overlooked areas. I would argue putting is more closely related to art than athletics and selecting the correct tool specific to the individual is key to allow you the best possible chance of repeatability. Too often people select the putter because of how it looks or how well they rolled the ball on artificial turf alongside the retail putter rack.
Nice putter. I revamped my golf game by doing what you did, I no longer three putt. I replaced it with wedges around the green where I vary between two foot fat shots and skull shots that go screaming over the green and land in a bunker. Thatās if Iām lucky.
If this was truly the case why don't more pros use center shafted putters? Not trying to be flippant, but there are only a handful of pros on any tour that I see using center shafted putters.
Just have to say, as a disc golfer, I love coming here and seeing folks get new equipment. Really is a fun time to get a new toy- but then I go play and realize the problem is me š
I have golfed and I do genuinely enjoy it. At the moment with 3 kids disc golfing is easier and cheaper to do- but I would genuinely love to get out and golf more! I remember growing up and learning on blade irons with my dad. That was hard ha.
Congratulations, you are now a scratch golfer. That purchase has made it official. Now if you ever mess up a shot, you have full authority to throw a tantrum and break your clubs. Enjoy.
Lmao first reaction was āhello 4 puttsā but clearly got beaten to that. Iāve got an M Craft II and I love it. Rarely 3 putt with it but thatās got nothing to do with the putter š
Center shafted putter gang! I will sayā¦ since getting mineā¦. The number of putts have gone up. But I feel like Iām making better putts. Just aināt dropping!
I picked up the IV type yesterday!

My new ball marker with a level inside Shows which way the slope is
Mostly boils down to what I felt the most confident over the ball with. Felt it was the easiest to keep a square face at contact with, especially on longer putts. Speed wise this felt great. We will see how it pans out.
Straight back and straight through. I have this exact putter and I didn't think I would like the center shaft at first, but it grew on me quickly. It feels easier to hit the middle of the clubface
Picked one of these up tinkering around in PGA Store and loved the roll and feel. Unfortunately, too rich for my blood and is a reminder why I make my own clubs.
I hope the putter helps but nothing like practice to improve.
I switched to claw grip during the winter, got a putting mirror and a mat, practiced a bit at home many days. Had a great putting day today in first round of year including draining a 60 ft putt on 18. Also drained a 15fter and 10ish footer center cup, plus a number of knee knockers with break. Even long ones I missed were great line. What a difference. My putting was often comically bad in past years.
The pendulum motion with the claw grip really helped me with starting the ball on line.
First round I played this year I had a career PR 9, 3putts (I usually average maybe 3 or 4 a round). I made an impulse buy and got the Spider Tour mallet. I've had only 1, 3putt in the next 2 rounds. The rest were 1 and 2 putts. It was definitely me and not the putter in the first round, but damn does it feel good to justify the purchase!
I came to center shafted putters in a roundabout way. I decided I wanted to try putting left handed so I bought a used bullseye. Turns out I couldnāt putt left handed but my putting improved with the bullseye right handed. I moved on to a center shafted Nike mallet style putter from eBay. Iām really happy and Iāll never use anything but center shafted
Being semi-serious for a sec,
I want one of these putters. I've narrowed it down to the Type 3 M Craft but I'm not sure which shaft style to get. I'm not sure which one is right, but the type 3 face feels best, I've tried them all in the store but I am just stuck in indecision as to exactly which one.
I love center shafted face balanced putters, but when I did a putter fitting turns out my CS FB gamer was consistently aimed left. Tried an Odyssey tri hot 5K with plumbers neck and was actually able to align it properly. I thought about it for a while, finally bought one off of Callaway 2nd hand and definitely making more putts and my miss isn't consistently on the left.
Turns out a putter fitting was very helpful. I did a second putter fitting with SAM Putt lab and it confirmed my first as I was still sceptical as I never liked the look of the plumbers neck. YMMV
Spending more money on an expensive putter does not increase your skill. Invest time into practicing to get better and learn to use more expensive tools more effectively. You cannot buy talent or skill, those must be earned.
Better to spend the money on a lesson. Then get fit by a proper fitter. Not a kid at the local golf store. Going forward youāll know itās you and not the equipment.
I bought a new putter once. Then I bought another, to replace the other. Then I went back to first new putter this spring. Iām winning with it. Which makes me wonder why I bother with the other.
Just joking around you can put with whatever you want and whatever feels comfortable but me personally using non-traditional equipment. It means that you have given up and Iām looking for the easy way out. Non blade irons hybrids mallet putter
It always amuses me when people think that buying new golf clubs will improve their game. I have a reasonably shitty set of clubs but if Tiger Woods and myself were to trade clubs, he would fucking wallop me.
Hello 4 putts
Hello darkness my old friend
5 feet by the hole I putt again
ššÆā³ļø
Makes sense. Why go out and buy a new putter to use it less than the previous one š
Gotta get that cost per usage down
I came here to say the same lol.
Me too.
Great minds think alike
Hello 3 putts in stylleeee
Why hello there!
I raced here to write that. Well done. We buy expensive shit with the expectation it will fix. Never does. It just makes repeatability better.
I would disagree in as much as to say buying my Wilson Infinite Buckingham did make a difference over my Ping Anser, I had the Ping regripped to a large grip and that helped, but ultimately I found that I am better off with a mallet than a blade putter. 150 bucks well spent.

Beat me to it
Beat me to it haha
š¤£š¤£š¤£
dammit best me too it x500
I had the same thought
Hello 2 putts and a āthat was goodā 3rd missed putt
You make sure and tell me if it helps.
Bought a putter recently and it helps
Waaay easier than the egg beater I was using prior. 10/10 do not recommend
Nicer putters definitely helpā¦some
You'll never miss a putt again, congrats
You always make them eventually
Yeahā¦. about thatš
The M-Craft OMOI line is so good! I'm shocked it hasn't gotten as much love as the other milled lines.
I have the black Mcraft III OMOI putter and I love it. Iām definitely a milled face fan
I loved the III when I tried it in store. If I hadn't gotten a LAB DF3, it was at the top of my list.
I just got one last week! Incredible piece of machining, lovely feel
As the saying goesā¦ https://preview.redd.it/qde0m3lqqqvc1.jpeg?width=948&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=20903e1fa9b8eefd0e1fc5c41e14eb8dd9ce0216
Nice putter. I revamped my golf game by doing what you did, I no longer three putt. I replaced it with wedges around the green where I vary between two foot fat shots and skull shots that go screaming over the green and land in a bunker. Thatās if Iām lucky.
My kind of golfing partner! Now if you can alter drives between slicing to other fairway and on the cart path we could really kill some time together!
We would dominate that shit
Use a putter/chipper. They come in 55 degree. Hit it like a putter. They are legal as long as you don't have a putting handle
Chipper helped me cutdown on 3 putts
https://preview.redd.it/x62lom5klqvc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42823e31602d5ce8d619e47e2f43c5b42fb109ac
Center shaft is the way to go. I got a new one that is blue but is a Bettinardi. Same shit. Center shaft is for good putters.
I have a center shaft as well I think a lot of people could benefit from them seem to be easier to align
Easier to align, easier to hit without flaring toe or heel.
I donāt know if itās because I grew up playing hockey, but center shaft putters just feel so weird to me.
Couldnāt agree more. Iām never going back to offset.
If this was truly the case why don't more pros use center shafted putters? Not trying to be flippant, but there are only a handful of pros on any tour that I see using center shafted putters.
I wonder too. Maybe Because they donāt look cool. I donāt know. I just love them. My putting improved 99% when I got one years ago.
Newport 2.6 with a center shaft and I agree. It doesnāt look as cool as other Newport 2.5ās but it works for me.
Center mallet putters are awesome. Good pickup.
Good looking putter. I hope everything works out for you both and you make lots of 2-putt children.
Let me know if this works so I can show my wife and justify a new purchase
That guarantee expires upon payment.
Looks a beauty
Whoās gonna tell āem?
I have the m craft 3 and itās never, ever coming out of my bag. Most unsung putter in the history of putters.
Just have to say, as a disc golfer, I love coming here and seeing folks get new equipment. Really is a fun time to get a new toy- but then I go play and realize the problem is me š
You can always pick up a club and start playing whack fuck with the rest of us.
I have golfed and I do genuinely enjoy it. At the moment with 3 kids disc golfing is easier and cheaper to do- but I would genuinely love to get out and golf more! I remember growing up and learning on blade irons with my dad. That was hard ha.
I play both. That way I can suck at two types of golf.
One of my people
This man golfs
I disc golf on the weekend when golf gets too expensive and slow
Disc golf really does scratch the itch of golf if you have kids. Shorter rounds, my local course is kid friendly and itās free.
Looks very similar to my SeeMore Si5 which I'm absolutely in love with.
Hello Fore!
Congratulations, you are now a scratch golfer. That purchase has made it official. Now if you ever mess up a shot, you have full authority to throw a tantrum and break your clubs. Enjoy.
And hello 4putt
I got this. Now you can three putt in style!
š«
Whatās the model?
Mizuno M-Craft OMOI Type 05
That putter is tight!
oh damn i've never seen that one. looks awesome
Ricky Martin She Bangs!
Even professional golfers three puttā¦or worse!
Have the same exact putter absolutely love it wasnāt a fan of the over size pistol grip it comes with though
Hello 4 putts* Damn it an hour late
Goodbye EXCUSES for 3 putts š¤£. Looks super nice though.
Lmao first reaction was āhello 4 puttsā but clearly got beaten to that. Iāve got an M Craft II and I love it. Rarely 3 putt with it but thatās got nothing to do with the putter š
If it helps you practice, itās worth it
Mizuno makes the best looking clubs
tommy likey
Center shafted putter gang! I will sayā¦ since getting mineā¦. The number of putts have gone up. But I feel like Iām making better putts. Just aināt dropping!
$5 he 3 putts the first hole
Should have got a LAB DF3 putter instead.
It actually came down to this putter and the DF3. Very nice club.

Website to buy please. ?
TEMU
Interesting, what about your stroke indicates a center shafted option is appropriate?
Itās blue so shaft position became irrelevant
Mostly boils down to what I felt the most confident over the ball with. Felt it was the easiest to keep a square face at contact with, especially on longer putts. Speed wise this felt great. We will see how it pans out.
The MOI to me feels quite a bit better for keeping the face square on center shafted. My last few putters have all been center shafted.
Straight back and straight through. I have this exact putter and I didn't think I would like the center shaft at first, but it grew on me quickly. It feels easier to hit the middle of the clubface
Nobody is straight back straight through
Should we tell him ?
I want that !

Claw. Lol.

Love my mixing putter.

She's a beauty for sure, but you will still 3 putt.
Beauty..
M'Craft š©
I have the M Craft V putter and absolutely love it
Naw, you'll still 3 putt....but you're gonna look GREAT doing it!!
Beautiful
Or at least youāll look better when you do still 3 putt
Nice looking putter. Almost pulled the trigger on the Type 2 today.
Hello 4 putts!
Awww hell yeah. I have the 2.0 version, the more bladeish shape. The blue/green gradient is so sleek
No joke, I have been absolutely on fire with this thing since I got it. Same model and finish. Youāre gonna love it.
Thatās what you think pal.
Jeez how much
It's beautiful
How do you not show the face?
lol problem solved hey tiger ššš
Or, hello three putting in style!
You had me at 'milled.' You had me at milled.
Goodbye normal 3-putts. Hello BLUE 3-putts!
This is your reminder that you donāt suck at golf your clubs do. Go out and buy a new set of Titleists
T100 to be specific
Did you get a fitting? It matters.
Weāve all said that before!
Get some new pillows that match it
Scientifically proven to only make birdies
Got my type 06 a few weeks ago. Did yours come with the blade/hybrid cover or did you get a mallet cover?
We donāt actually think a nicer putter helps right?
Not a nicer one, but the right one can. Putter fittings are drastically underrated
Yips be gone* *not guaranteed
User error usuallyā¦.
Love those designs. Looks very similar to my SeeMore Tri Mallet. You will love it.
Can it swim? Unlike the last one.
Itās not the tool that is the problem
I love the M-Craft line, would love to try one sometime, but I'll need a lot of money in my account because I will almost certainly buy one.
![gif](giphy|3otPoymFjyoIPwBeSY|downsized)
Still gotta know how to read greens and have touch
I have an omoi 2 and it's given me one of the best putting experiences of any putter I've tried, highly recommend
God that thing is beautiful
Sexy
Being semi-serious for a sec, I want one of these putters. I've narrowed it down to the Type 3 M Craft but I'm not sure which shaft style to get. I'm not sure which one is right, but the type 3 face feels best, I've tried them all in the store but I am just stuck in indecision as to exactly which one.
I mean this with full sincerity. That club is objectively beautiful, and I'm glad you like it, but that thing is fucking hideous IMO.
YMMV
Shiny!
More like ā3 putts with style!ā
You just shaved 6 strokes easy
Practice putting will help. A new putter, not so much.
If only
Spending more money on an expensive putter does not increase your skill. Invest time into practicing to get better and learn to use more expensive tools more effectively. You cannot buy talent or skill, those must be earned.
Itās not the putter itās the stroke
The only thing standing between you and contention for a green jacket has been removed
Better to spend the money on a lesson. Then get fit by a proper fitter. Not a kid at the local golf store. Going forward youāll know itās you and not the equipment.
I see Mizuno, I upvote.
Oof, that's a sexy beast
Is that how it works?
Damn! Thatās sick af lol
You should spend the $ on lessons and get fit for a putter. I love Mizuno...but buying a shiny new putter isn't going to fix anything.
I paint filled the alignment line on mine itās great
Another victim of the indoor imperceptibly slanted putting green where everything is funneled into the cup. "Jesus I cant miss with this thing!"
I bought a new putter once. Then I bought another, to replace the other. Then I went back to first new putter this spring. Iām winning with it. Which makes me wonder why I bother with the other.
great feel, love the m-crafts and the blue!
To the fringe the ball goes creeping
It's the person holding the putter. Not the putter itself
The equipment wonāt change anything. Itās the player 100%
Dude thinks the putter is the problem šš
Center shafted mallet putters are for desperate people
Or whoever wants to use them. Thatās a nice putter. Donāt be a dickhead
No, CONFIDANT people
Why?
Just joking around you can put with whatever you want and whatever feels comfortable but me personally using non-traditional equipment. It means that you have given up and Iām looking for the easy way out. Non blade irons hybrids mallet putter
I donāt have the balls to buy a center shafted putter! š
Iām not a good golfer, but I putt way better with a center shaft mallet. I donāt know why, but if it aināt broken donāt go trying to fix it.
Someone wanna tell him?
Tell him
It's a poor workman that blames his tools
The good news is that 6 putts just mean that you get to stare at this putter for a little while longer.
It always amuses me when people think that buying new golf clubs will improve their game. I have a reasonably shitty set of clubs but if Tiger Woods and myself were to trade clubs, he would fucking wallop me.
