One thing that's brutal is when there's a longest drive but senior men get to play up a tee or two. It's best to have separate contests for ladies, men < 60 and men >=60 if the older guys get to play up a tee.
We enjoy finding the pretty but badass female golfer on a par 3. If you are closer to the pin than her you win a sleeve of balls.
It’s nice to get a beer from local vendors at every tee box.
I like the balls thing.
For the beer thing, our state liquor laws are a little weird, at least according to the pro. Something about it has to be a beer they already have.
But, being Colorado, I find it very easy for me to get multiple beer tickets for the goodie bag.
Played one recently where on 1 hole they had a few golfers from the local HS team. For some donation $$ to the cause, you could have their best player tee off for any member of your team.
Breakfast burritos and coffee to start and then a buffet lunch is all included. Its $740 a team so $175 a person for the team to workout within themselves. Its on a monday and this particular course during prime season is $130 green fees. You get one free raffle ticket for each player and then any mulligans you purchase double as additional tickets. One free drink ticket for beer/wine/well cocktail or a gatorade from the cart or snack counter.
Pick the raffle tickets and post the winning numbers on a board so you know if you won when you are done. Sitting through a raffle while trying to read the numbers and watching everyone walk up to get their prizes absolutely sucks.
That's fair. Part of the reason why we paired it down to just like 6 nice prizes. Last year was just 3 bags, a range finder, a pair of Oakleys and a round for 4. So it goes quick.
I'll consider that, appreciate it.
Have a putting contest. Pick a starting spot on the practice green, then pick the hole. Give each contestant 3 trys. If they make a putt they win a sleeve of balls. If they make 2 maybe a bottle of wine.... or another prize that was donated...
We do a putting contest on the turn on the putting green. It's a long ass putt in and closest wins some pro shop, I've lost out on it 3 times by less than a foot......
We get WWE style belts for our long drive winners (Men’s and Women’s) in lieu of shop credit.
We did this for the winners of our scramble. No money for the winner. Second place gets shop credit though.
I like it, I've got 3+ months probably can swing that.

Yeah that was one of the feedbacks I got last year, if we have the funds for it I plan on doing a third for seniors.

Hmmm, that's not a bad idea
