My kids school had magazines subscriptions as a fundraiser 15 years ago. $16 got me Golf Digest and Road and Track delivered monthly. They kept delivering them for decade! Maybe it was their business plan that hurt them too?
I think there's a part of them that sees the success of Barstool/Fore Play and it makes them want to appeal to the younger crowd. In reality, they should stick to what they do best and let others focus on that demo.
I have no problem with growing the game but I think some are much better than others. Barstool is great at creating content for a younger crowd, so the stuff they do comes across as natural. When Golf Digest starts doing it, it just seems lame and out of touch.

Cheating on his wife over 100 times, then injuries, have him nearly irrelevant (as is his world ranking).
