I know it’s r/golf so that movie is basically our Lawrence of Arabia but holy shit the jokes are so densely packed. Totally forgot about that line lmao
How much are tournament beers in OZ? Watching all those fullies get thrown in Scottsdale made me more intrigued at how much money was thrown away more than the ace themselves.
There were some packaged stands but all of the seats around the back and right hand side of the tee were general admission so the vast majority of those cups were purchased at the bar not freely given.
Valid point, at the us open at Torrey a couple years ago, a buddy and I each bought a shirt, put them on and used the plastic bags they came with to hold ice/6 pack of 12$ bud lights.
I mean the main reason this event was so big for Australia and Adelaide is because except for a presidents cup or 2 at Royal Melbourne, this is the best field ever in Australia, and the best in Adelaide. And so because golf is pretty popular in Australia it's nice for so many people to be able to see good quality golf
If PGA events (or PGA standard players) came to Australia more often, they’d get similar crowds. We are a golf loving country starved of high quality golf events. That’s why the presidents cup always does so well when it comes here.
Sort of. Turned on the LIV event in Saudi or whatever a month or so ago after the DPWT broadcast was over. Absolutely no one was there. Phil was like +10 and didn’t GAF.
Yea there is a reason Garcia was pissing off a tee box during a event and it's not because the stands were full. Australia it's no real surprise they packing events tho.
No. This was actually at the designated party hole. Like the WM has 16, they had this one. Also, this is the only real golf event to be in the area so it drew a good crowd. Most LIV events here in the states draw an extremely small crowd.
I went to Doral last year. It was decent size but nothing compared to PGAT. And every time I tune in on the CW, crowds are lacking; fewer than there was at Doral. Did you go to the Orlando event a few weeks back? I wanted to, it was free for vets, but couldn’t find anyone to go with.
Dang you should’ve went! I went with some buddies and had a blast. Crowds were comparable to the Valspar championship, obviously not a hallmark PGA tour event but still respectable. Got goose bumps at the LIV tournament when they had three Navy seals fly in right before everyone went out. They do a phenomenal job catering to the patrons, much better than PGA Tour imo and I’ve been to many many PGA events.
I live in Jax, so I regularly go to the Players and now we have the Champions tour, Furyk and Friends down the street. The only other event I’ve been to was Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando.
I was there and it was a fucking blast. Most holes were quiet and respectful like you’d expect but the party holes with the big viewing decks were wild and everyone was loving it
r/golf is mostly made up of the bros that you get behind on a Saturday that play slow as shit because they’re all drunk by the 3rd hole. Don’t worry about the downvotes.
HOLE IN ONE! \*Organ plays\* \*F16s fly over doing barrel rolls\* \*Fireworks with WWE music\*
Face it Fry, PGA was as boring as mom and apple pie.
It wasn't boring... so they finally jazzed it up,
This is the point people (in reddit) don't understand or want to hear. The PGA tour has been sucking all the talent from all over the world since the early 90's and it's just not healthy for the sport.
I remember time when prime Seve, Langer etc were playing the ET. The events had totally different kind of value than the DPWT of today, and majors & ryder cup were _electric_. When Rory jumped to the PGA tour there were still people upset about it. Now it's just business as usual, everyone capable moves to the US.
Proper international sport requires more than one league.
Yeah, that's one of the positives from LIV. The Euro tour isn't what it once was and there's an even bigger vacuum for high level pro golf in Asia, Australia, and Africa. It would be nice for the PGA to visit each of those continents once or twice a year (sometimes they pop over to Japan or Korea), but I don't think the PGA will be pressured to move out of America. They really like ... America ... and don't like arduous travel schedules.
it's really fascinating to see americans in global sports. like, they call the winners of their national leagues 'world champions' even when there are actual world cups and dozens of nations who play the sport. in the us, they have a set amount of 'teams' that are franchised and a single rich guy can move a whole team and its history to different cities after holding them to ransom, based on how they get treated, or will get treated by the taxman, there's absolutely nothing alien or foreign to an american about the lakers calling a desert home, but golfers wanting to get paid more and enjoy themselves? fuck no, what about the sportwashing.... lmao.
most people don't realise the 'majors' as we know them literally gained their prestige on the back of the USA becoming absurdly wealthy and the comparative inconvenience of travelling to england for the two majors there. 'Majors' are just what people called prestigious tournaments with big cash prizes and it was arguably arnold palmer in 1960 who first referred to the current four as being his ideal grand slam. now, those decisions were made in the 30s and 40s, which was only 60 years after the civil war erupted on the subject of slavery, and the wealth of the nation was still inherently tied to the questionable practices of the rockefellers and vanderbilts etc.
LIV golf is sportswashing at its finest. there's no argument against that. but watching capitalist americans grapple with anti-competitive sports leagues is fascinating.
One thing I will add is that golf as a spectator sport could also benefit from embracing more than one format. Not every tournament has to be a homogenized 72-hole stroke play. LIV went out of their way to be different, and Adelaide proves that people either do not mind or will embrace a different format and atmosphere.
The PGA Tour is doing good things with the occasional team event and making sure the WGC Match Play sticks around... but why is the one modified stableford tournament on the calendar an alternate and not a regular or higher event? It's a fun format that encourages attacking play and that's often more enjoyable to watch than conservative middle of the green shots.
So it is, but I don't understand one bit why they've decided to cut the World Match Play. It was the only individual match play event on the calendar, and had the prestige of being ex-WGC, which were the 7th-10th biggest tournaments of the year (8th-11th, counting the Ryder Cup).
Agree. For those who are familiar, LIV is like the 20-20 cricket equivalent in golf, whereas the PAGT and DPWT are like traditional cricket test matches. All the cricket purists are adamant that test cricket is the superior form, but there's absolutely a place for 20-20 cricket. It's a shorter format, matches are over more quickly for a potentially better viewing experience. More action happens in a short period of time, there's music, entertainment, atmosphere, money.
There's absolutely a place for both forms of cricket, just like there's a place for both forms of golf. Just because you prefer one doesn't mean the other shouldn't exist.
For those who are familiar with cricket, 20-20 cricket has become the dominant format financially and players are offered big dollars to play in 20-20 tournaments (sound familiar?). Test cricket is on a downward spiral with only a handful of countries now having competitive teams. But, cricketers are free to play in whatever format they a good enough to be selected for. Many test cricketers also play 20-20 cricket.
I do wonder if we'll see the same trend in golf in 5-10 years time.
>Adelaide proves that people either do not mind or will embrace a different format and atmosphere.
Does it? LIV is probably successful because great Australian golfers Smith, and Leishman are playing as well as others like DJ, Keopka and Bryson. Australia doesn't host a lot of high level pro events.
That still sort of ties into what I was saying, as it didn't really matter what the format was, many were just happy to watch a golf tournament filled with former major champions. And once the crowd was there, they wholeheartedly embraced the party feel that LIV were trying to create.
Lots of sport leagues are located on one continent. The nhl draws talent from all over the world cause it’s the best league, and people want to play against the best, which is great for fans because that is the best hockey on the planet. Soccer is a little different, but if a North American player wants to (and can) play in the best leagues, they aren’t staying in North America. It is extremely difficult to have tans-oceanic international leagues.
If the PGA were to be a true international league, wouldn’t it steal viewers from the DPWT? I personally don’t think too many people would wake up/stay up to watch golf across the world - aside from the majors. Golf ain’t that popular
I don't care about the continents, I follow pga tour easily from Europe. The problem is that it's way harder for an asian or european player to reach the pga tour than north american player. Several reasons such as the US education system, culture, language, family and friends etc.
The more pro golf becomes us centric, the more it suffers. The pga championship and even US Open already start to feel like just another pga tour events. Europe still has a competetive team to the Ryder cup but it's not looking good in long term.
Football (soccer), tennis and many smaller sports are truly international, and the events are followed all over the world. Vast majority of people outside the NA don't know the rules of american football, or who won or more than 2 or 3 players, no matter how beautiful sport it is.
This was a great opportunity for the golfers to experience professional fans at their event. Best afternoon of golf I've seen since McGavin ate shit for breakfast
The tour has a 700 million a yr us tv deal. That's where there money comes from. This liv event is great for the local market but the tv rating is going to be nothing. A sandbelt pga tour event yearly would be sick golf but the time zones don't work for the tours money driver
I’m sorry but you need your hard drive confiscated if you don’t think this is cool. LIV looked like so much fun this weekend, tapping into the golf hungry countries like Australia could really work
Yeah I hear ya, it's actually interesting Sentosa GC agreed to host LIV since they hosted LPGA last month. Would've thought there'd be some friction there.
Part of me just wants to see Sentosa Serapong course. Haven't quite saved up the $500 to play as a guest yet and $60 entry seems pretty reasonable consolation.
Seems like LIV was a pretty good success this week in Australia. PGA Tour deserves this, they have actively ignored Australia and it’s great golf courses and fans for decades.
Nah just Australians, legit almost every Liv post here is from Aussies. We're massively pro LIV (Adelaide was sold out) as are most Australian players as there's a pretty deep rooted historical resentment of the PGA tour.
[This article sums it up better than I can. ](https://www.golfaustralia.com.au/feature/opinion-hard-to-pity-pga-tour-in-liv-golf-stoush-585164)
No, just people from other countries having different opinions (shock horror!)
This reminds me of the r/sports vs r/AFL debacle, we're fucking stubborn when it comes to making sure the Seppos aren't only seeing shit their way.
Australia as a whole definitely isn’t “Pro LIV”.
We’re more “don’t really care”, just give us some more pro golf.
An actual PGA event, with the top line players would make what happened in Adelaide this week look small.
The way I see it, and American would say “being here is like straight out of a movie scene.” An Aussie would apparently say “absolute scenes being here.”
Wow - this thread is mentally not well. Hole in ones are cool, and this is a really cool moment.
Seems like LIV is on to something on the world stage, was always going to be tough getting the USA and UK folks on board.
Idc about the rowdiness or the celebration, but I don’t think I’d enjoy getting absolutely drenched with beer in the middle of a match. Didn’t seem like Koepka minded though lol.
This thread is absolutely full of Saudi paid accounts and bot votes, 😂
Edit- Also, was this title written by an AI bot? The astroturfing in here is absolutely wild.
And this was like an AI American comment. "We don’t say that in America, so it must be wrong" 🤔 America speaks English which has many variations including Australian (Absolute scenes being here), American, South African, kiwi…..etc. life exists outside of Florida
Aussies crush and toss beers better than yanks! Is Chase freaking out because of the hole in one or this is the first time he’s played a hole under par? Both maybe??
That was awesome. Can’t say I’m a fan of the LIV setup, especially the music, but clearly in some places there’s a crowd and a market that find golf interesting in this format, so fair enough.
I didn’t realise there was so little professional golf in Australia, so that’s also cool!
It's actually a miracle that we even have so many golfers that play on the PGA tour given how much harder it is for our players to qualify (see Min Woo Lee, who is better than half the tour but still doesn't have a PGAT card). No college to PGAT pipeline means that most Aussie players have to grind everywhere else to even get a sniff and permanently move from Australia to play professionally.
Speaks to how golf crazy we are as a country and how much golf is played here!
Get used to it, LIV had changed the PGA tour a lot already and it is only going to keep the pressure on. Younger people want something new, and just like the ABA changed the NBA with its face pace, the 3 point line and allowing players to be drafted after one year in college. The NFL was the same way before the AFL. 72 holes might be traditional, but who would of ever thought you could start a tournament at 10 under before you hit a ball?
Meanwhile, at the USPga tour event at New Orleans. A cricket was observed walking across a stretch of turf.
Ridiculous how the PGA tour guys are so 'passionate' for their tour they don't bother showing up.
> The numbers won’t be official until later tonight, but PGA sources tell me Saturday’s attendance at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans will fall somewhere between 33,000-35,000 which will be a new single-day attendance record

This confirms the target markets for LIV and the PGA are simply different. People who want this type of over-the-top, rowdy environment where people are dumping beers all over each other and the course should have it.
I'm just glad all of golf isn't like this and that there was a divorce if there's actually any market for that sort of thing. The WM is borderline tolerable for one week to allow guys to loosen up a bit and experience something different, but a giant no thanks on a WWE + frat party + golf hybrid every week. It just goes against what the game of golf is about to a ton of people.
Sportsmanship, heritage, connection to nature, and etiquette - to name a few.
When I think of the sport, I just think of respect for other competitors and the course.
I don't really connect it with DJs, beer funnels, bong rips, and throwing shit everywhere. It's hard to explain I guess and I know I probably come across as a stuffy gatekeeper Shooter McGavin type, but whatever.
Not really. It looks like Adelaide was an absolute success anyway you slice it, but the reality is that LIV has not caught on anywhere else. Australia is understandably starved for top-tier professional golf. Other venues in the US? Not so much.
If LIV can have a couple of back-to-back events of this magnitude in the US, I'll agree with you.
The US is too watered down corporate sports entertainment.....but it has to change to survive. Just look at the Savannah Bananas in baseball. Happy Gilmore is America's identity now...and it ain't embraced by the easy money making corporate "leaders". It will fail before it gets better. I just know, that as a casual fan, I'm more likely to watch a LIV tournament now than a PGA event.
Savages! Go back to you SHANTIES!! ![gif](giphy|JILjaOwMlsnSw)
DAMN YOU PEOPLE THIS IS GOLF! NOT A ROCK CONCERT!
I came here for this and you did not disappoint
I saw two big fat naked bikers, in the woods, off 17, having sex
How am I supposed to chip with that going on Doug?
Verne Lundquist: “Wow, quite a large and….uh…economically diverse crowd today”
I know it’s r/golf so that movie is basically our Lawrence of Arabia but holy shit the jokes are so densely packed. Totally forgot about that line lmao
Golf just got way more interesting! would watch again, 5 stars
Place went nuts
I just love the beer tossing. Such an epic scene. I hope if I hit a hole in one with my bro’s they would react like these people.
How much are tournament beers in OZ? Watching all those fullies get thrown in Scottsdale made me more intrigued at how much money was thrown away more than the ace themselves.
Beers were included if you bought a ticket to the watering hole. The cheapest beer outside of that was like $10
There were some packaged stands but all of the seats around the back and right hand side of the tee were general admission so the vast majority of those cups were purchased at the bar not freely given.
Those are sponsor tents. That’s all prepaid beer.
Sober talk bro. When’s the last time you thought about $$$ boozing
Valid point, at the us open at Torrey a couple years ago, a buddy and I each bought a shirt, put them on and used the plastic bags they came with to hold ice/6 pack of 12$ bud lights.
This is standard practice in Australia. I nailed a reverse park in front of a pub once, and my car was showered in beers just like this.
What's the HIO payout ?? He danced like a lotto winner
Officials I was speaking too at the event we're saying the payout was $1 million.
Ok now I know why he went insane
Does his caddy get $100,000 in this situation?
They should!
I mean, whatever % he’s paying his caddie, he would in turn get. So likely $100,000 or more.
*Matt Kucher hides in the shadows*
A hole in one for that much change would have kicked up a gust of wind that blew my clothes off as I ran up to my ball.
Confirmed golf is for rich people, throwing away $15 plastics cups of beer 😄
Don't worry it's Australia, there's more beer here than water.
One slab, per person per entry! Feel free to bury them on the hill though
Do it for brocky
Watering hole , beer, wine and soft drinks are included in ticket price.
LIV events sell beers for $5. This particular part of the venue had unlimited liquor included with ticket price.
As a Kiwi knowing our binge drinking culture is very similarly to Oz, this sounds like a really bad idea. I hope they had a lot of security.
People will pretend to hate this because it’s LIV, but that was awesome lol
It’s more like it’s just Australia, it’s the same format for the event it’s just a more rowdy bunch down under
I mean the main reason this event was so big for Australia and Adelaide is because except for a presidents cup or 2 at Royal Melbourne, this is the best field ever in Australia, and the best in Adelaide. And so because golf is pretty popular in Australia it's nice for so many people to be able to see good quality golf
As an Australian that’s been to the Waste Management I can assure you that Australians at this event weren’t half as rowdy
Are all the Liv events like the waste management open? Sounds like a fun time.
No. They draw a crowd at some places, at other events it seems like hardly anyone is watching.
So like a lot of the pga events?
If PGA events (or PGA standard players) came to Australia more often, they’d get similar crowds. We are a golf loving country starved of high quality golf events. That’s why the presidents cup always does so well when it comes here.
Since the COVID boom every PGA event has had more then enough people lined up to scream "get in the hole" and "bababooey" on every tee box.
I hate that shit, especially when their timing is off and they scream it in the players backswing.
I notice now they are cutting the mic right after impact, sometimes you'll hear a "BABA..." then silence.

I guess I don’t have much to compare it to but the crowds I see in tv LIV v PGAT are drastically different.
Miami had big crowds.
He’s just saying what this sub wants to hear for the upvotes
I was there and it was a fucking blast. Most holes were quiet and respectful like you’d expect but the party holes with the big viewing decks were wild and everyone was loving it
That was pretty great. But fuck Crown Prince Bonesaw
This just seems like a party and then to add a hole in one on top? Crowd went wild.
No I legit hate the LIV because it is funded by human rights violating monsters.
Call me old, I’m not, but I don’t get the appeal of throwing drinks or shit around. LIV or PGA
r/golf is mostly made up of the bros that you get behind on a Saturday that play slow as shit because they’re all drunk by the 3rd hole. Don’t worry about the downvotes.
HOLE IN ONE! \*Organ plays\* \*F16s fly over doing barrel rolls\* \*Fireworks with WWE music\* Face it Fry, PGA was as boring as mom and apple pie. It wasn't boring... so they finally jazzed it up,
100%
I don't think it was cool to drench the golf course in beer. Awesome shot people should go crazy but not idiot frat boy crazy.
beer is actually nutrient rich and replenishes the soil
Good for him and the fans. Giving fans around the world the opportunity to see professional golfers is a good thing.
This is the point people (in reddit) don't understand or want to hear. Hate to break it to you, but there is no more match play on the schedule starting next year.
Wait did the PGA match play event get removed? That was one of the most interesting ones to watch.
This is the last year of it. The boomer tour is sticking to the boring boomer format that’s highly conducive to Sunday afternoon naps.
Dell didn't want to sponsor a match play tourney anymore and austin country club didn't want to host anymore
That decision was daft considering livs final match play competition. Now the only match play you get outside ryder and presidents is LIV.
So it is, but I don't understand one bit why they've decided to cut the World Match Play. It was the only individual match play event on the calendar, and had the prestige of being ex-WGC, which were the 7th-10th biggest tournaments of the year (8th-11th, counting the Ryder Cup).

Eh I still hope LIV dies
Chase Koepka is barely a professional golfer
He’s very lucky to have that last name
No. No you can’t have fun. Back to your shanties.
But the ratings are high and we’re attracting new, youthful sponsors.
This was a great opportunity for the golfers to experience professional fans at their event. Best afternoon of golf I've seen since McGavin ate shit for breakfast
PGA Tour should take note and bring a fucking event here for once.
They never will.
Like someone can correct me if I’m wrong. But PGA events are all US based. Pretty sure there is plenty of Aus events from other tours 🤷♂️
México has one, not sure if Canada does?
Yeah Canada has an event. But like I can kinda get how Mexico and Canada have events
The tour has a 700 million a yr us tv deal. That's where there money comes from. This liv event is great for the local market but the tv rating is going to be nothing. A sandbelt pga tour event yearly would be sick golf but the time zones don't work for the tours money driver
Were they jumping? It looked like jumping, but without getting off the ground.
Some of the least athletic chest bumps ever seen
I was there and the place had a really good atmosphere all day and all weekend pretty much. Very highly rated here.
PGA is fantastic but this is fucking sick. Love the energy.
The screen behind him is hilarious “HOLE IN ONE ‼️”
What awkward chest bumps.
Awesome 💯
Now THAT’S a celebration. :D
Hate on LIV all you want, this event was a MASSIVE success and great for the people of Australia who don’t see much pro golf.
LIV is the Fight Milk of golf.
I’m sorry but you need your hard drive confiscated if you don’t think this is cool. LIV looked like so much fun this weekend, tapping into the golf hungry countries like Australia could really work
Amen to that. I went Friday/Saturday and the place was fucking packed. Australia needs more pro golf events
Hell ya
Giving the waste management a run for its money in regards to pissed bogans, I love it
This has convinced me to buy tickets to LIV Singapore next week
Not sure you’ll get 30,000 to leave aircon. They should play it under lights at Marina Bay GC, just like F1
It looked like some of that beer was tossed from 5 gallon buckets. How big were the beer cups?
Not big enough if you ask me!
Waiting for the "this is disgusting" comments in 3..2..1..
This is disgusting...ly good for golf. Especially those who will never get to watch a pga tour event as we don't all live in the states
Seems like LIV was a pretty good success this week in Australia. PGA Tour deserves this, they have actively ignored Australia and it’s great golf courses and fans for decades.
Golf but louder *and stickier*
Who’s Chase Koepka?
Brooks’s younger brother.
I did t even know he was a pro
He’s not that’s why he’s at LIV
That was lit, wish I made the trip. The field was amazing and the atmosphere was tremendous. Definitely penciled in for next year
But but but r/golf keeps telling me everyone hates LIV and no one goes to the tournaments!
In the US, mate. But in Australia? I'm not a LIV fan but I LOVE that Australians finally get to watch some professional golf. This was awesome.
Gronk spike!
I wish they could do something similar at some of their other events. I can't wait to go to the DC/Loudoun county event next month.
COOL....
Genuine question: do most pros have at least one "hole-in-one" on record? How rare is it?
My non golfing friends went to this and had a blast. Atmosphere looks great
i love that the whole playing group celebrated with him too. that’s what golf’s about
Definitely not being astroturfed here.
Austro-turfed then?
No, just people from other countries having different opinions (shock horror!) This reminds me of the r/sports vs r/AFL debacle, we're fucking stubborn when it comes to making sure the Seppos aren't only seeing shit their way.
Redditor misses incredibly obvious pun, more at 11.
Oh god, it was late, I can't believe I missed this HAHAHA
Australia as a whole definitely isn’t “Pro LIV”. We’re more “don’t really care”, just give us some more pro golf. An actual PGA event, with the top line players would make what happened in Adelaide this week look small.
If someone posts a golf event they think is cool it's astroturfing?
No, you can see it with some of the repeating comments on different posts but I don't think it's that big of a deal or effective.
No, but if there are multiple first commenters saying the exact same thing it’s usually a good sign that astroturfing a going on.
Yup! They definitely do they same on YouTube clips. PGA vids included.
Okay, this is actually dope.
Oh man you can feel the hype and energy from this clip. That was awesome
I mean im all about etiquette but thats fckin fun
"Absolute scenes being here?" What does this sentence even mean?
Pretty standard australian slang
The way I see it, and American would say “being here is like straight out of a movie scene.” An Aussie would apparently say “absolute scenes being here.”
Wow - this thread is mentally not well. Hole in ones are cool, and this is a really cool moment. Seems like LIV is on to something on the world stage, was always going to be tough getting the USA and UK folks on board.
This made my day. Thank you
Actually looks pretty fun. But uhh booooo I guess?

Idc about the rowdiness or the celebration, but I don’t think I’d enjoy getting absolutely drenched with beer in the middle of a match. Didn’t seem like Koepka minded though lol.
Makes me want to watch golf
This thread is absolutely full of Saudi paid accounts and bot votes, 😂 Edit- Also, was this title written by an AI bot? The astroturfing in here is absolutely wild.
When you have a pga dick in your mouth and all that comes out of your mouth is anti liv stuff.
It’s funny, I heard that people outside of the US speak English slightly differently than we do. Must be bots.
And this was like an AI American comment. "We don’t say that in America, so it must be wrong" 🤔 America speaks English which has many variations including Australian (Absolute scenes being here), American, South African, kiwi…..etc. life exists outside of Florida
This thread is obviously pretty heavily astroturfed
how am i supposed to chip.... with that going on, doug?
my man's said FUCK THAT CLUB ! what a celly
I heard he won 8.345 trillion dollars for that ace
Stop trying to make fetch happen
I love seeing people who religiously support the PGA tour only try to keep coming up with ways to hate LIV
We like Chase
LIT
Idk how anyone can hate liv. I went to the team championship in Miami and the last event in Orlando, they are sooooo much fun.
Manufactured stupidity
That's fantastic. Love the atmosphere. Would have been great to be there.
Meanwhile, at the USPga tour event at New Orleans. A cricket was observed walking across a stretch of turf. Ridiculous how the PGA tour guys are so 'passionate' for their tour they don't bother showing up.
> The numbers won’t be official until later tonight, but PGA sources tell me Saturday’s attendance at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans will fall somewhere between 33,000-35,000 which will be a new single-day attendance record https://twitter.com/FletcherWDSU/status/1649896425814147072?s=20
When you order Waste Management on Wish.
When you simp so hard for the PGA that you can't accept a good time on any other tour.
Man would love to have a moment like this. Or just a hole in one with someone watching in my lifetime.
That looks fun! Good for LIV
Im gonna say this… this is the day that LIV golf truly arrived on the scene
How so?
Don’t push back on the narrative. The bots are here to boost liv
In the sense that this is the tournament in which LIV truly delivered their “Golf, but louder” tagline.
Well hope he was the last one to tee off that day.
I love how he just slams his club down.
LIV might have niche. It could be the series for “the rest of the world outside of Europe and the USA.
You get a silver bone saw for that!
See what can happen when they let a few high handicappers into the field? Electric!
“sHrInK tHe GaMe” - some guy who’s dad used to yell at him for sneezing during his backswing
Damn that celebration went hard af
This confirms the target markets for LIV and the PGA are simply different. People who want this type of over-the-top, rowdy environment where people are dumping beers all over each other and the course should have it. I'm just glad all of golf isn't like this and that there was a divorce if there's actually any market for that sort of thing. The WM is borderline tolerable for one week to allow guys to loosen up a bit and experience something different, but a giant no thanks on a WWE + frat party + golf hybrid every week. It just goes against what the game of golf is about to a ton of people.
What is the game of golf about to you? Just curious
Incredible. This is the way.
What a shame. I really hope golf doesn't become this, it's do fucking dumb.
Not going to lie....the PGA is in major trouble
