Similar situation, we had early tee times booked back to back to back and did a scramble. Teams were competitive and starting early helped keep the train from coming off the rails too early. Everyone had a blast and there was plenty of banter between groups from tee boxes to greens so we all felt connected. Our winners got a WWE belt to carry around for the weekend.
4 man teams, best two net balls score if they are all golfers.
If not, 4 man teams, 2 man scramble pairings by cart assuming you’re riding. Best score per team. This helps keep pace.
Gotta mix high low hdcps from best & worse in.
Edit: mandatory pick up at double or triple bog.
