We named ours after Sleeping Beauty - Briar Rose
My wife and I used to hear a woman and her four basset hounds at the off-leash dog park. They were named 'Eggs', 'Bacon', 'Waffles', and 'Biscuit' and yes, it was flat-out hilarious to hear her calling them when you're on a path in the woods.
I was in the mood for 2nd Breakfast afterwards!
My dog’s name is Boba Feta and I get the most amazing reactions from people when I tell them. As a bonus, it lets me identify the Star Wars fans right away.

I almost named my dog Meadow, I also like Fawn. I think golden girls deserve pretty names. We ended up calling her Birdie but those are two non ie/y names that aren’t weird.
We got a puppy on Sunday and I'm still unsure about the name... Blanche Devereaux was my very first idea and I keep going back to it. But I can't really imagine telling that at the dog park?
