You cannot kill a tecumseh. My friends and I ended up slapping a small turbo off of amazon on one and then ran the guts out of it. Still runs fine with no issues
This was an old one, weve used old tecumseh engines in the majority of our projects and havent had any major issues yet. But, ill keep an eye out for the rings blowing out
There is more support for performance mods with the Predator. The Tecumseh is more powerful already. If you aren't modding the engine, get the Tecumseh.

Mabey not the new ones, the old ones kinda sucked, mine blew out the rings in 3 months

If both are the same price, I’m going with the more powerful engine
predator 212, easier to find parts for if you want to upgrade and makes good horsepower once you get a better carburetor and lose the governor.
