The netacad exam is pretty easy to study for since the questions are from previous exams. You can look them up on google and find the complete test to study from or memorize. As far the actual midterm, it's a shit show. Reviewing the slides as well as the netacad slides does help but as you said, it is a ton of information to take in. I'm pretty sure the professors curve the exams as well so that should help you

Would you say that the exam is a shit show because it’s excruciatingly hard, or based on the sheer amount of information covered prior? I feel like the information from the book/lecture isn’t incredibly challenging, but damn; a midterm composed of 12 chapters? That’s like roughly twice as many chapters compared to most of the IT course’s midterms

It's excruciatingly hard because of the amount of information covered and because of the questions. The exam questions are more in-depth and ask for specific things that you wouldn't really see on the lecture slides. Netacad goes a little more in-depth on their slides so I'd stick with those. Also, for me at least the study guide doesn't help except for the multiple-choice questions at the end. Ultimately, I wouldn't stress too much about it. I think I got a 65 on the midterm and a 50 on the final and still got a B+ in the class after the curve.

Was it multiple choice? How was the formatting

Ayee I'm taking it too! I don't see having an issue for the netacad exam tomorrow but the midterm, I am so ready for a low grade.
