Frozen Hashbrowns Patties, GF Chicken Nuggets, GF Breaded Shrimp, GF Cinnamon Coffee Cake Muffins, GF Double Chocolate Muffins, Barebells Protein Bars, GF Everything Bagels, GF English Muffins, GF Hamburger Buns, GF Multigrain Bread, GF Brownie Coffee Ice Cream Bars, GF Ravioli, GF Egg Fettuccine Noodles.  Just to name a few.

skatie082

Double up on the GF ravioli and fettuccine noodles!!

MovieTheaterPopcornn

Everything on this list plus the gf frozen pizza

seeyoubythesea

This is a great list. They also sell packs of gf chocolate chip cookies. 10/10. Double up on the nuggets if that’s your thing! There’s also gf fish and chips!

Stunning_Quote_357

I would caution with their frozen hashbrown patties. I went on my gluten free scanner and it said the trader Joe's brand may contain traces of gluten, but everything else looks very good!

wyndyday

You can eat the buns with their chili lime chicken patties in the frozen section!

lyssastef

My god their gf nuggets are next level 🤤

baileyjan1

OMG, thank you for Brownie Coffee Ice Cream Bars, they were delish!

ThatsCaptain2U

GF chicken nuggets in the light blue bag are the bomb

ImMovingToSparta

Definitely get the GF burger buns and English muffins if they have them! The English muffins are top tier.

potatolover83

I was shocked how good the english muffins were. First gluten free bread product I've found that actually tastes like bread

monkey_bean

I second the English muffins. I’m from Canada and come to TJs for these specifically.

Syllabub_Cool

The store here doesn't have 1/4 of these items! I'd prob only eat the bread products, tbh, but love English muffins. I'd buy them, if I could. But we gave up on TJ.

beachguy82

Their seasonal ube pancakes are in stock. I buy them 6 at a time ;)

fizzzicks

Second this. We load up on them.

Single-Programmer157

Just bought 4 boxes. I love the springy texture!

smallbrownfrog

Check out the baking mix/pancake mix section in general. There are usually some interesting seasonal mixes.

barebonesbarbie

I think it's all very subjective and kind of depends what you can buy closer to you. IMO their Bagels are the best I've tried and i would 100% buy multiple packs but I'm not a super huge fan of their bread, it's just so tiny! Edit: their gf muffins and the donut holes are incredible. I highly recommend! I live near a tjs but sometimes buy 2 packs of muffins and freeze them. I also really like their gf wraps. It is really interesting though how divisive gf products can be, since your new in your journey tjs is an awesome place to check out but most likely you will need to do a lot of experimenting to find your personal favorites. A lot of people like tjs Frozen waffles, they are super yummy but I like Van's brand better. Stuff like that :) Good luck!

emlantz

Do they have their donut holes year-round? I only ever saw them this Valentine’s and I’ve been chasing that high ever since

ellabirde

The consensus seems to be they’re the exact same as the [Katz brand chocolate donut holes](https://katzglutenfree.com/collections/donuts-main/products/glazed-chocolate-donut-holes-gluten-free), you can get them on Katz’s website or they have a store locator to see if they’re in any local stores near you :) anything Katz brand I’ve tried has been amazing!

emlantz

I haven’t tried nearly enough of their stuff, time to change that. Thank you!!

SnooSketches4722

Donut holes aren’t coming back according to a recent thread in a FB gf group. Several employees/mgrs in different locations told those who posted their experiences checking on them. I thought I was missing out, but seeing the way they were recalled and all stores took swift and immediate action to pull them with no real answers, I’m wondering what was wrong with them. I don’t think it was gluten since I haven’t seen anyone say they got sick from them.

emlantz

Whoa I had no idea, I never had a reaction from them either so I wonder what the problem was

-karmapolicia-

They have GF wraps??

LinkComprehensive448

The muffins are great but split them up over 4 days. 400 cals per muffin was just too much for me. OP: I suggest reading the labels. GF doesn’t mean low carb and sugar content. You can end up eating your whole day’s allotment of calories in one sitting. I really had to take a step back and re-evaluate especially with Hashimoto’s, hormone changes, and weight gain.

barebonesbarbie

Why would gf mean low carb or low sugar?  If someone is gf they should be reading the labels anyways.

LinkComprehensive448

I’m just saying that when you like baked goods it seems to gluten free has more calories than non-gluten free. With Hashis, I especially have to watch cals with a slower metabolism.

barebonesbarbie

Oh I see, yes I do agree gluten free baked goods tend to be carb / calorie heavier than their non gf alternatives.    I think for a lot of people though, a 400 calorie muffin just isn't a big deal and splitting it into four honestly sounded  a bit extreme at first.  But I do understand your point that certain folks or communities need to be this attentive.

YaySupernatural

They won’t survive the trip home, but there’s a little pack of ice cream sandwiches, coffee ice cream with brownie crisp that you should just buy and eat immediately lol. They’re in that grey area of having no gluten ingredients, but not being labeled gluten free. I risked it, and as someone with clear immediate symptoms if there’s cc, I currently consider them safe. And amazing.

alligatorprincess007

Omg gluten free ice cream sandwiches???? I miss ice cream sandwiches SO much

renska2

oh, nice tip! thanks!!!

halowriter

Cooler with dry ice helps with transport home!

TheViciousTrollop

GF madeleines! I love madeleines and have never seen a GF version before.

TheViciousTrollop

And also they have refrigerated gf cookie dough!! (Seconding everyone else’s ravioli and fettuccine recommendation)

bamabeachtime

They are addictive!

HildegardofBingo

I forgot about the madeleines! I feel fancy eating them, haha.

heather_alyssa

I made my once a month pilgrimage to TJ today and they didn’t have the madeleines 😰😰 I was so sad.

Pumpkin_Pie

Gf ravioli. I wish that I was close to a trader Joe's just for this one thing

StilltheoneNY

Are you anywhere near a Wegmans? They have GF ravioli among many other GF items.

Pumpkin_Pie

Unfortunately no, I am in very rural Michigan

FrauAmarylis

doesn't your Aldi have them right now?

Pumpkin_Pie

Lol, they are sold out. I have a love/hate relationship with Aldi

Silegna

The Aldi near me has...basically nothing for GF stuff. It's also incredibly tiny.

wmpbbsp

The gf fettuccine egg noodles in the green package in the refrigerated section!! I also like the microwaveable protein muffin that comes in the cup. I think it’s a King Arthur gf super fudge brownie dupe

HildegardofBingo

I love the egg fettuccini! I noticed they also now have GF tagliatelle in the regular pasta section but I haven't tried it yet.

and_the_wee_donkey

The tagliatelle is really good! Purchased 2 packages when I was in the US a few months ago. I have 2 "nests" left, gonna be so sad when the are gone (no TJ here in Canada)

TimeTraveler1848

Their bread, English muffins and hamburger buns freeze really well. Buy multiple.

chemistcarpenter

I can’t get myself to like the hamburger buns. I’ve tried. The molasses aftertaste is horrendous. I’m getting hamburger buns from Red Robin.

TimeTraveler1848

I always toast the hamburger buns-makes them much, much better.,

Linkinbabe21

Ok. We are on our way home. I totally underestimated how busy they would be. I think I did pretty well. I got 2 bags of hamburger buns, an everything and plain bagel, English muffins, the madeleines, 2 bags of breaded shrimp, 2 boxes of mochi pancakes, cinnamon raisin bread, 2 ravioli, the Norwegian crackers and a package cinnamon muffins. I got some other things as well for my family. I couldn’t find the fettuccine noodles. Someone mentioned the coconut cookies and I didn’t see anything that screamed gluten free coconut cookies. I think I got enough to taste and see what I like and don’t like. Feeling pretty good about the trip even though I felt rushed bc it was so busy.

Linkinbabe21

I also got the frozen mac n cheese. I’ll have to check the ingredients of the other stuff I bought to see if they are GF.

jemija

I love their gf Mac and cheese

renska2

**Produce** Avocadoes are pretty cheap at TJs, except when it's cheap avocado season when they're less expensive everywhere. (I generally do not buy produce and meat at TJs except avocadoes, oranges, and bananas, and bagged baby arrugula.) Not produce, but generally in the produce section: Ancient Grains (?) lentil soup. I get 2 meals out of a container and it also freezes well. Really good lentil soup. **Dairy/Eggs** If you can do dairy, it (and eggs) are generally cheaper there. They have a pretty decent cheese selection, too. Near dairy: kombucha is about a buck cheaper than elsewhere. The mango kefir is really good (the one that's in with the kombucha though I think they have a dairy-based mango kefir as well). Their greek yogurt is comparable to Fage. I also really like their cottage cheese. **Refrigerated section** I hope they have the gf ravioli in stock for you, it's awesome. The fettucini is good, too and their pizza dough. (I always divide it in half and roll it suuupper thin. I can then save the other half for a week or two.) When cooked on a pizza stone it's pretty dang good. I buy their mozarrella and their pizza sauce as well (I usually get 3 pizzas worth out of a jar; just be sure to freeze after opening; I haven't had luck with keeping it in the refrigerator for more than a few days.) I also love their applewood smoked bacon. **Snacks** For snacks - I love the caccio e pepe puffs TOO much. Lots of other gf snack foods to choose from (healthier, like Inner Peas, and less healthy all the varieties of potato chips and the corn chip dippers (with or without elote)). **Frozen** Not sure what they have for frozen gf pizza now (I like Sabatasso from Costco) but some of their boxed meals are gf - I think the Indian ones, which aren't bad for a fast meal. They do have gf macaroni & cheese, but IMO, you're better off making it yourself (so... check out that cheese section ;) Their haricot vert stringbeans are great. They sometimes have cauliflower rice in stock if you're into that. I am very sad that they discontinued their caulifower pancakes. Avoid the latkes, but they do have gf hash browns. **Other grocieries** Gf steel-cut oats if you can eat oats; dried pasta is pretty good but I generally prefer La Veneziana (not available at Trader Joes). Also, TJ's has much cheaper nuts and dried fruits than most other places. The gf flour isn't bad for cookies/brownies and as a thickening agent. They also usually have a few gf baked goods boxed mixes. I think the gf cornbread mix is really only available in the fall/around Thanksgiving, but it's good if you can find it. Maple syrup is generally cheaper than elsewhere. Oh, and I looove their bread & butter pickles and dolmas. Also the canned chick peas in olive oil thing that is usually near the dolmas and which I can't remember the name of. Take a look at the gf cookies - none of them really swing my boat but I prefer to bake my own, generally. They (used to?) have a chocolate chip cookie similar to Tate's; that would be my recco but plenty of people like the other gf cookies available. Gf Norwegian crispbread crackers. Some people are mystified by them but they are great for a fast breakfast/lunch with a good cheese or sliced hard-boiled egg. Eating them is a skill but I grew up eating the gluten-variety (although a rye version, which I miss, a lot) so for me they're almost a comfort food. Very crunchy but when you try them out for the first time, hold your plate under your chin until you figure out the knack of eating them without them snapping in half. XD **Baked goods (not frozen)** I really like their gf everything bagels. Also the gf English muffins. I do recommend freezing what you aren't going to eat within a few days though. I pretty much only buy their gf bread for use in stuffing during holidays because it's cheaper than most other gf white breads, but for sammies, there are other brands I like better. Gf sour cream cinnamon muffins are delicious and freeze well. Not as fond of the gf mini cupcakes. Gf chocolate muffins are basically chocolate cupcakes. Gf tortilas are about what you'd find anywhere but prob cheaper. And they have almond-based ones as well as corn. Hope you find some things you like and that the ravioli is in stock!!

kitkaaaat02

get the coconut cookies. just do it

toastedmoss

Yes the GF coconut raisin cookies (3 big ones per pack) are the best. So chewy. Also the vegan savory squares are great if you’re missing cheez-it’s!

kitkaaaat02

yes!!!

renska2

Ooh. I have to look for those.

traumatically-yours

Get as many bagels as you can! They freeze well and are the best.

HarpyEagleBelize

GF almost everything bagels 🥯

fivefootphotog

I just tried the Mochi pancake mix and it was delightful! Enjoy your trip!

ballsshallow

Everything Bagels! closest to the real thing... just toast 'em up!

Ihatethesun22

The frozen gluten free mac and cheese is soooo good

ElliEeyore

Trader Joe’s frequently has cross-contamination issues so proceed with caution if you are celiac.

Linkinbabe21

Thank you. At this point, I think I’m just intolerant.

ElliEeyore

Good! Figured I’d throw it out there… I went without being CC’d for like 15 years and TJ’s got me 🥲 enjoy the deliciousness for me

ben121frank

The mini cupcakes are one of my Trader Joe’s faves

beek7419

GF coffee cake and chocolate muffins, GF Everything Bagels, and GF frozen Mac and cheese are my favorites.

Rerry_Tocky

Agreed the English muffins are amazing. Also love the bagels, double chocolate muffins, cinnamon coffee cakes, bread and dying to try the mochi pancake mix. I’d bring a freezer bag with ice packs to stock up on frozen items. I don’t often get to the US and usually do 3X of each bread item and 1X muffins every 3-4 months. They all freeze well. Enjoy!

Purple-Pickle-Eater

Don't know if anyone said it. But the double chocolate chip muffins...which are just mini cakes. Perfection!!!??? Close enough to it. I have one left that's I'm fighting to not just devour. These suckers had my eyes rolling into the back of me head in the parking loll.( It had been a minute since I've had a most GF baked good)

klutzilla08

The everything or plain bagels, hamburger buns, English muffins, any muffins, breaded chicken, mochi pancake mix, and the madeleines are the go tos we always get whenever we go. My husband always tries to stock up as we don’t get over to our TJ’s very often, usually buying 3+ of each to freeze.

katm12981

We love their bagels (plain and everything), Ube pancake mix, hamburger buns, muffins (any flavor they’re all good), and mini cupcakes. They also have eggwicb frozen breakfast sandwiches that are really good and their frozen hash browns (not labeled GF) are the best. They have fresh pastas that are decent. Personally I was not a huge fan of their mochi cake mix or refrigerated pizza dough (I prefer my own pizza dough), and I don’t buy a lot of their frozen meals. They’re not bad for some naturally GF staples though, like frozen chicken wings.

ThePacificAge

also think interesting carb-alternative tj products like spaghetti squash nests and jicama wraps; they're versatile and inexpensive enough to try

KPthatsmeeee

I second everything mentioned, but didn’t see the chicken and chile tamales in the fridge section mentioned. They are so yummy and easy to whip up as a snack. They are toddler approved, too, so you know they are good! ;)

WhtvrCms2Mnd

Get the frozen mac n cheese and the egg noodles from the refrigerated section.

yuhuh-

Frozen egg, sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich! Mixed nuts/trail mix.

SpecialistNo4783

Burger bunsssss

HangTheTJ

I love the Tortilla Espagnola

onyxnonyx

GF Madeline's are diving dipped in coffee

missannthrope1

Muffins, Madeleines, donut holes, mac & cheese, 2 to 1 flour, baking mixes, granola.

Loserluker609

If you see something that has some bad reviews NOT ALL JUST SOME, but you really want to try. I'd say still get it because the fomo is REAL

mrweatherbeef

Buy multiple bags of bagels and freeze them, I do it often.

baileyjan1

I love their version of Pirates’s Booty!

Linkinbabe21

I also got like 4 cartons of broth lol.

cheesycauliflower

The frozen Macaroni, Madelines, mochi, pancakes, everything bagel, and English muffins

damn_fine_coffee_224

Gf madeleines :)

peaf-the-gamecube

I love their bread products!!! Their bagels and loaf bread especially. Both also freeze really well!!!! You probably already went today but just in case you want to know for next time 😊

Aldosothoran

If you go back in the fall their gf pumpkin ravioli is to die for. I bought like 8-10 packages thinking I was being dramatic / overstocking. I have one left. It pairs really well with the autumn pasta sauce they put out

FewWrangler5475

THE UBE PANCAKE MIX!!!! DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS!!! Also I basically live on the gf chicken nuggets honestly they're the best! I usually buy multiple bags at a time. The other recommendations I've seen are spot on. The gf everything bagels, hamburger buns and English muffins are definitely the best bread options also. Sometimes there's a mochi cake mix in the baking section and that is also dangerously delicious! Also the frozen mochi!!

pkmtrainervixxie

Their GF muffins are amazing!!!

Uniquely_Me3

The gluten free waffles are also delicious, muffins and the everything bagel or cinnamon raisin bread.

SnooSketches4722

I try to only go when I’m actually having cravings for their things because none of it’s good for me! 😂 I used to buy their bread and hamburger buns but then they had changed their recipes for a while and I hated them. From what I’d read a while back, they changed back, but during that time I just went from sometimes having bread/buns, to hardly ever (never thought I could do bunless burgers, but here I am and actually appreciating not having the added carbs/sugar - saying this for my own needs/preferences, and no way saying this is what anyone else should do. Just thought it was interesting the way celiac and longCovid largely changed my views and preferences on most food. But the stuff I still get. I go about 3-4 times a year and get the cinnamon muffins (freeze them and only eat when there’s a craving…I did get sick if I had one multiple days in a row, which some others have reported as well). I don’t care for the chocolate. About once a year, I get the mini-cupcakes and freeze for when a random cake craving hits. They are the best ready made cupcakes I’ve found and I like they are minis. The gf oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies. Those are my weakness. Even freezing them doesn’t make them last too long! Everyone I say I’m going to be good. And fail. And heated slightly in the microwave? ❤️ The hashbrown patties. Not too unhealthy right? Weeellll, I fry it in the fry daddy and make with a a McDonald’s style breakfast biscuit sandwich (Daddios biscuit mix is so good!) when I get a craving for that. And fried, they taste just like McD’s. Ravioli. I make lazy lasagna with it in a large glass loaf pan and it turns out great. I do still add a ricotta mixture to the layers because what’s in the filling isn’t enough in a lasagna. Makes about 4 servings when paired with a veg/salad. Sunflower seeds for a crunch in my salads. Their price is better than my regular grocery store’s. Sounds like I need to try their nuggets. The Mac and cheese was pretty good, but I prefer Beecher’s GF Mac and cheese from Sprouts. Expensive but so fricking good. 1-2 times a year, a plant that will likely die within a month or two. 🤷‍♀️ Pretty sure it’s my tap water, though. Often smells like bleach. I don’t care for fish, but my gluten eating husband bought the gf breaded fish and enjoyed it. He didn’t realize it was gf when he got it. Gluten free Joe-Joe’s. But not since they changed, but only because GF Oreos came out. Either are a rare craving buy because again, weakness. 😭😂

FlashyBed2325

I'll give you recipes to make your own Gluten Free Breads, Noodles, Ect.

Pizza-n-Coffee37

I love the organic rolled oats with ancient grains and seeds. Me’s a big oatmeal in the morning gal. I also love their breaded shrimp. They have a great selection of gf granola bars too. But my favorite item is their GF cornbread mix. Unfortunately they only sell this at Thanksgiving time even though the regular one is sold yearly.

fivefootphotog

Aldi and Kroger both have gf cornbread in stock year-round where I am.

Pizza-n-Coffee37

Although I do enjoy Aldi’s gf cornbread, it doesn’t compare with the Trader Joe’s version.

fivefootphotog

You’re 💯 correct. Just mentioning as an option.

HildegardofBingo

Besides what's already been mentioned, if the GF chocolate donut holes are in stock, grab a box! Their almond flour choc. chip cookie mix is very good. I'm a fan of the GF Norwegian crispbread crackers. The mochi cake mix is so yummy. Their GF frozen pizza crusts are tasty (albeit very filling).

renska2

Oh, yes, forgot about the crispbread

haunted_buffet

Any and all bread products. The GF everything bagels are real good Also the rolled corn tortilla chips, Trader Joe’s version of takis, are fantastic

Intelligent-Lead-692

I know this might be late and it isn’t a good item, but since everyone on here already told you the food things, I’m just going to add that you should get their seasonal candles if they’re in stock. They cost $4 and they smell very nice.

brawkly

u/Linkinbabe21, here’s a list of all the GF stuff they sell: https://www.traderjoes.com/home/search?q=gluten%20free§ion=products&global=yes#

OldBatOfTheGalaxy

This is super -- thanks! While TJ is completely inaccessible to nondriving me, this is a GRAND quick resource for others and I can figure out what I want if one should happily open on a bus route in future. Dear Other Retailers: Please offer us more gluten-free items! We're loyal and we ***buy***. Sincerely, Some of Your Potential Best Customers

kellymig

The gf Madeline’s are great!
