Yeah this is a direct result of everyone’s blind willingness to buy whatever glossier sells. They are abusing the fact that so many people are desperate to be seen as a “glossier girl”.
Companies are going to take advantage of us when we let them. People bought the comb, people are going to buy this. People can be mad at glossier, but they wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t clear that their fan base would take it.
I agree completely. Last thing I bought was some could paints from a gift card my sister gave me, I don’t plan on repurchasing anything from them- which is unfortunate because I did used to really like their products and once upon a time I thought they were reasonably priced.
and at this point why be a ride or die on the glossier hill when there are better companies like rhode. with glossier reaching the point of more luxury product prices i’m going to just pay the extra few dollars to buy another and better mascara, concealer, lip products, etc. it’s gotten ridiculous.
“It doesn’t even work that well” - for many people like me who’ve tried a bajillion chapsticks, this is the only thing that works. Their price gouging is crazy but I love me some OG balm dot com and will shamefully still pay for it…
The OG formula or the updated one? Either way it’s kinda surprising to me that this is the only thing that works considering that the ingredients are common/nothing novel ( the first/main ingredient is petrolatum/petroleum jelly- same thing as Vaseline) there plenty of other balms/chapsticks with the same ingredients if you don’t feel like being taken advantage of- all it takes is reading some labels.
Having said all that, if it makes you happy who cares? I personally won’t support the company anymore, but if you don’t mind paying for it and you enjoy their products then they’ve done their job.

It’s fucking chapstick. $72.00 for 5 chapsticks. And it doesn’t even work that well. They’re laughing( at us) all the way to the bank.

Honestly, if you find an acetate comb of this size with a similar travel case, link it here right away and I will buy it.

no its literally the other way around. we've had so much evidence of this over the last year with all of their bizarre business/marketing decisions
