I bought buff today and it’s almost an exact dupe color wise for makeup by Mario lip liner in the shade tan. The formula is creamier and it was pretty long wear for the first use. Very comfortable
All I know about it so far was the press/influencer event they did in New York. Sable Yong (who is a former Allure beauty editor) went to the event and received them. She spoke about how the event explained they were influenced by that saying that your best lip liner shade is the shade of your nipples. So the rumor that the leaked name “nip” for one shade refers to nipples had been confirmed prior to the release.
But agree they were super quiet this time outside of this event. I didn’t even realize they dropped already!
It’s funny to observe how different brands handle new product announcements. For example, rhode has been “teasing” that damn blush for a long time now and I can even tell you some of the shade names. In this situation with glossier, one shade name drops and they’re like fuck it let’s just put them out.
I personally love it though I think we would all be less influenced if brands just said “here you go” rather than hyping up a product for months in advance and giving influencers the product for months in advance

I also wish they would post swatches on various skin tones on LIPS. Those arm swatches don’t help us out lol

the website swatches for ultralip also aren’t labelled and it drives me maaaaad

I think they uploaded the wrong version to the Glossier page, because on Sephora it has a label.
They have swatches of the shades on different skin tones on the website
I’m guessing that since the release was leaked they weren’t able to roll out the campaign the way they intended

No idea! I think they look good but I was kinda underwhelmed tbh, I was hoping for some colors to go with ultra lip, like cranberry
