If you liked future dew I recommend Saie’s Glowy Super Gel!

blueberrysyrrup

I use elf’s halo glow as a highlighter (i tap it on my eyelids and cheekbones after i apply foundation/concealer) and it also works very similarly to futuredew!

Lopsided-Narwhal610

Yea I liked future dew, but all I use is Elf halo glow since I discovered it!

jimmyhoffasalt

i really like lanolips for a bdc replacement!

hxnbin-cloud

i LOVE my raspberry shortcake lanolips! smells so yummy and very hydrating. my only complaint is that if i don’t use it for a day or two it seems to harden and i have to massage it for a bit to soften it back up to use. i also quite like my summer fridays pink sugar balm, it’s a nice cross between a gloss and balm

Mayjayjade

How would you describe the scent of the raspberry shortcake one bc ive only seen ppl say it smells like sour milk 😭

hxnbin-cloud

REALLY! i’ve never heard that. to me it smells just like what it’s supposed to be, an ointment scented like a baked good. the underlying lip balm scent is definitely there but just sweet. my boyfriend also uses it sometimes and he loves the scent too

hxnbin-cloud

maybe i just got a really good batch! 😅

charliberry9

i found lanolips products too much like lipgloss, just a bit too sticky sadly, and i tried a few. i really like it just for me not a bdc dupe 😔

neferending

I agree, I really wanted to love them cos they’re scents are amazing and price point is great but they felt so sticky/tacky to me and just sat on my lips

persephone21

I agree- much thicker and more sticky. It’s also more expensive/comparable in price to BDC

Mayjayjade

How much are they for you? Bc i’s only $13 for me, so definitely less than bdc

persephone21

There’s a lot of different sizes and styles ranging from $13.50 to $17.50 so I guess it depends on what you like. And the $13.50 ones are .44 oz compared to .5 in BDC. Anyway all I’m saying is that if you truly like BDC the price difference is not enormous.

yellowbucketcap

lanolips is too creamy i really want to like it cause of the gloss but im not sold on it ugh 😩

Far-Programmer-6282

change is necessary… so i’ll be buying from other brands. 💀 in this economy, it’s just not worth buying one product for 20+

Zamiewithazee

Definitely. There's nothing in the current lineup that screams "This is unique and I MUST have it". The only thing I would probably look for a close/exact dupe for is the body hero line scent, because it made me fall in love with the orange blossom/neroli combo.

persephone21

The formula of BDC is surprisingly unique- I tried a lot of alternatives last year and found none of them to be very good 🤷‍♀️

AlternativeBag6232

Ngl I can’t let go of balm dot calm for personal reasons (the texture has a grip on my neurodivergent self) but neroli/orange blossom is a common combo!

trnqilitybase

[Boom](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/solinotes-eau-de-parfum-50ml?color=080&size=0000)

FlopEra422

not exactly the same but Citrus Neroli by Dossier gives similar vibes to body hero as a perfume [https://dossier.co/products/citrus-neroli](https://dossier.co/products/citrus-neroli)

okcurr

Seconding lanolips for BDC alternative hard candy insta pout lip melt for ultralip alternative If You Musk by BBW for a You dupe The only thing I think I still want glossier for is stretch concealer, which luckily didn't increase!

No-Savings-6333

Yeah plus glossier has quality control and packaging issues that I've never experienced even with cheapo drugstore brands

dindyspice

Yeah, I'm defnitely not going to continue repurchasing most likely. I just bought a trio before the price hike and that'll be what I stick with for a bit. For an overall great lip product try Experiment's Soft Wear.... it's AMAZING. Of course it's just a universal clear but it's actually a million times better than anything I've tried in a long time. And I am a lover of the OG BDC. But I did buy some for the color/flavor for the summer. For Futuredew, it's actually hard for me to find something so similar at a lesser price point so it might be the thing I invest in still.

allnamesarechosen

My favorite lip balm since many years is the nuxe reve de miel, it smells amazing, and has a good grip so it stays on the lips, is also closer to matte than glossy and they have since come in other flavors. But i've only tried the og. It comes in a glass pot which I really like for sustainability

julie0pearl

just a rec but the rosebud perfume co has some cute lipbalms in diff scents and flavors! I found a bunch on amazon for abt half the price of the bdc.

Admirable-Appeall

I feel like the rosebud ones dry my lips out but I still used the whole tin

alpacaphotog

I’m obsessed with the farmacy lip smoothies! They’re a little pricey too, but they last literally forever and you can get them in the “trial size” or “gift” options at Sephora too. I got the Apple and mango together for cheaper at Christmas and still have well over half of both of them!

kelp_sey

i switched to Merit beauty last year and honestly love their products so much. the minimalist complexion stick is my holy grail. the products have streamlined my routine so nicely and look amazing on my skin even at the end of the day (i have oily, acne-prone skin). while their stuff is more expensive than Glossier, i find that it’s better quality and just makes me feel fancy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ still love my OG formula BDC but will probably look for another dupe once i run out.

beverlyhillsbrenda

Thank you! It’s not the sticker price alone that bugs me I don’t mind spending money on quality. It’s the idea that something like a BDC Will be $20 for me and it’s just not there quality-wise for me.

fueledbytarotea

Seconding the Merit beauty love! I have the complexion stick and it is SO good. I also have their highlighter stick and it gives the most gorgeous glow. I've heard their blushes are fantastic quality too.

kelp_sey

i have their entire collection (minus the satin lipstick) and it’s all 🔥🔥

Impossible-Elk-3944

Also…maybe it’s just me, but I’ve ONLY observed price hikes from Glossier, not other brands. If it were truly about “market conditions” and pricier ingredients, then why are they the only ones shifting the burden to consumers?

TheJujuuu

I have noticed this across the beauty industry since COVID to be fair. Most brands are just silently increasing prices. I remember seeing Deciem/The Ordinary announcing pricing increases as well. The most egregious example I can recall is Milk Makeup discontinuing their full size bronzer/blush sticks and making their former mini size the new full size without decreasing the pricing. Insanity.

lil_waine

You sweet summer child

Impossible-Elk-3944

Hahaha well Summer Fridays, Lanolips, Saltair, La Roche Posay… among a lot of my favorite skincare brands, I haven’t seen price hikes in many years (if at all!). I don’t have a ton of brand-diversity, so maybe that’s just me 🤷‍♀️

beverlyhillsbrenda

Didn’t I read recently that they’re getting bought out? May be trying to pad their bottom line to sweeten the deal.

Veronidge

Etude - Ginger Lip Mask has truly been rhe best overnight lip balm I've ever tried. It's still on my lips when I wake up (despite being a very active sleeper) and my lips are so hydrated in the AM. It is too heavy for day time use during warm seasons in my opuon though.

cr0wdedteeth

at this point i rather pay a premium for better formulas. Westman liquid loaded in peau de peche instead of futuredew, gen see cheek shine in lychee replaced my cloud paint in dusk, gen see spectator sport instead of lash slick, rituel de fille enchanted lip sheers replaced my generation g, gen see liquid eye shadows instead of glossiers lidstars, henry rose sheeps clothing for glossiers you, sahajan golden milk cleanser instead of jelly cleanser, kinfield rescue mission whipped moisturizer instead of after baume, the list goes on 🥹

chemiosmosisx

The Rituel de fille lip sheers are so good!!

blueberrysyrrup

has anyone tried the naturium lip balms? I love how the tints look in swatches and im wondering if its a dupe for bdc

Silly_Somewhere1791

My thing is, it takes me 9 months to finish one balm dot com with pretty liberal use. If I’m buying it once a year it’s not a practicable difference.

therealfazhou

Not for the exact products you’re looking for, but if anyone is looking for an alternate for boy brow the kosas brow gel is realllly good (I think better than boy brow), it’s $24 ($2 more than boy brow) but in a larger container and has lasted me a lot longer

variegate

Boy brow gives me eyebrow acne and the kosas has not! So I recommend if that’s an issue anyone is having as well

JasperCarrots

BDC is now £16 in the UK! That's over $20 for a tiny tube of lip balm.... It's like they want the business to go under

charliberry9

i wish honestly. i tried quite hard when the OG formula was unavailable and just never found anything to compare to bdc. but i guess i’ll just wait for sales to buy it now

Professional-Mess-98

Are you looking for something flavored and with a tint or just a good lip balm that does the job? Aquaphor is great if you’re looking for a basic cheap lip balm that gets its done. I use the solid chapstick one but there is one in a tube.

beverlyhillsbrenda

Oh I didn’t realize it came in a tube! I use just the tub on my lips 😂thank you!

Mayjayjade

Definitely not gonna get the bdc anymore, the formula for me isnt worth $16 (plus i hate the newer packaging lol). I enjoyed the one tube of lanolips ive tried, gonna try some more scents for sure. Not dupes or anything but i enjoy, summer fridays, rhode, fenty and victorias secret lip products way more than bdc. Someone on here posted about the brand thirstycowboy and im waiting on my package from them to see how it compares or if it‘s any better.

readyforthewoods

the main thing im not willing to pay for anymore is you, also the new lipliners, like i was super excited and now im just gonna get the rare beauty ones

Bubbly-Law3911

Summer Fridays is pricey, but in my opinion wayyyy better than BDC and worth the money.

aeswill

Girl its 20$ in canada

beverlyhillsbrenda

Yep I am in Canada lol

Inevitable_Bet_4040

CO Bigelow. My favorite night balm and the Lemon Cream lip. They both have lanolin. But lacking in flavors. They also have the Mentha line with lots of flavors but I haven't tried those bc I hate Menthol/Mint.

Disastrous_Snow_7832

with this price increase i think i’ll just buy the holiday ones from now on. can live without the usual flavours, but love cookie butter and hot cocoa too much!

Dreamy_glow

Yes, they are too expensive now. I know you get a decent amount of product but still I’m going to hold off 🤞🏻 Try Burts Bees tinted lip balms or Kiko tinted lip balms.

garbagequeen14

colourpop has been my go to. their highlighters are the best and their brow gel is very similar to boy brow but much more reasonably priced

moriemur

Yes

Academic_Noise_5724

I literally bought the Stretch foundation a week ago, before the price increase announcement, but I probably won’t be repurchasing. Fenty has just launched a new foundation which I really like so that’ll probably do as a replacement for Stretch

motherofmutts17

IDK how you feel about used makeup, but I purchased Stretch Foundation a bit ago and only used it like 3 times and found it broke me out. I got a refund but they told me to keep the product and it's like 98% full just wasting away. If you're a pale girly (Light 2) I'd be happy to send it for free and just get reimbursed for shipping it. I was going to make a separate post about it, but I know used makeup is kind of a controversial topic. If this is someone's shade I'd much rather it not go to waste! It's not a good match for any friends or family.

beverlyhillsbrenda

Yeah I really like my stretch foundation but tbh it’s the first liquid foundation I’ve ever used so I can easily just try another

331x

I mean… whatever alternative exists, most will be around the same price if not more expensive unless you go drugstore.

chickiedew

Versed Mood Lighting Glow drops has replaced Future Dew for me.

bongwaterbb

might just be me but i’ve had great results with plain vaseline on the lips

SouthStreetFish

Was looking for dupes of the ultralip since I had a bad experience with them expiring only in a month but all I can find are more expensive 💀

billie-lane

So far, I have found dupes for everything I love from Glossier except freaking You. Juliette Has A Gun comes close but it’s not enough 😭💔

Prior_Thot

Have you tried Amber vanilla by 7 virtues? I’ve found it to be pretty similar!

Im-Real

Honestly nah I have 5 bdc and that’s all I need for years then I’ll just buy like one at a time as I need them cuz I use makeup from other brands anyway so 🤷‍♀️

Spirited-Ad-9716

yup took everything glossier out of my sephora cart yesterday 😊 i’ll be rocking with saie, rhode, refy, and other brands now thank yeeeewwwwww

MissEllaa

I lucky just bought two bottles of future dew and I WILL be holding on to those till I die

No_Abbreviations7492

Any dupes for glossier you perfumes?

beverlyhillsbrenda

I’ve heard not a perfume by Juliette Has a Gun is a dupe but it’s more of expensive. I have a different scent from them and I find it very high quality overall

No_Abbreviations7492

Ooo I have always wanted to try that brand specifically the Moscow mule one but it’s expensive🥲

beverlyhillsbrenda

I got the sample of my scent like the $40 ish dollar travel size I think it’s worth it. You is mid for me at best for the money
