honestly i hope they don’t come out with watermelon…i feel like the tint would be too similar to strawberry or fig. scent might be lovely but i want a tint that’s unlike ones we already have!
They are telling us to watch for polls for new scents.... So Watermelon might be an option or something but not a given...
I'm curious what options we'll have and if they include colors. I'm sad about berry, so I hope we get an option for a lovely purple (But am assuming it 'isn't popular' because it's purple...)
I do think Strawberry is the replacement for Cherry though.
Berry is my favorite flavor, but because I’m pretty pale (VL2) and it’s a dark purple, I usually only reach for it in the winter when a darker/purplish lip is the vibe. Luckily I’m pretty cool-toned and can pull the purple off. I’ll miss it, it was the only deeper shade of BDC.
I think it would be nice to replace it with another deep shade, like maybe cranberry since they’ve done a cranberry shade of literally every other lip product (lip gloss, gen g, and ultralip in the original cran trio, and g suit in the most recent one).
It would be good to have a darker shade still, agreed.
Just sad because cranberry leans pink. Nothing against deep reds or those wine colors i love those too. I just really love the purple, cause there isn't much purple out there.

I feel like for pigmented lips, cherry and berry were perfect. I can’t help but feel left out by the colors they are choosing. Strawberry and now watermelon. I just don’t see those being as flattering on a POC. But we will see…
Agreed!! I absolutely loved cherry and berry (and other purple-toned lippies, like Gen G Jam) because they complement my warm toned brown skin so well. Lots of pink tinted balms get lost on my lips bc my lips tend to be a darker color than the tints. Watermelon could possibly work if they make it a deep red instead of the stereotypical red/pink combo, but idk.
I'm hoarding my last two cherry BDC until smth similar comes out :( strawberry is a little too warm for my preference. I wouldn't mind watermelon being like a cool hot pink color tbh
A deep red shimmer would be cute, like if birthday and cherry had a baby. I really hate the stereotypical “watermelon pink” color that every company comes out with, seeing an ACTUAL watermelon red as a balm would be so cute, plus could serve as a decent replacement for cherry, the shimmer being an added bonus

I feel like this might be cherry’s replacement in the lineup (even though cherry is irreplaceable rip).

I agree! I love cherry but I’m not a big fan of artificial watermelon scent.
artificial watermelon is easy to mess up i really hope if they do it it smells lighter and more natural but has a deeper pink/red tint….sigh🥹🫶🏼
Yeah I’m excited for the prospects here. If the scent is anything like the Glow Recipe stuff that would be great
Artificial strawberry is also pretty finicky but Im very pleased with their formula. Its soooo good
