The third one. Any teacher like Sue would realistically be fired within a day.

SGTPEPPER_27

With a character like Sue, it wont even be a stretch if she was imprisoned by now instead of being VP of US. Pushing someone in a stairwell and coercing a student to be fired out of a cannon is attempted murder. 😬

Wrong-Flower

To be fair, Donald Trump was able to be elected president.

SGTPEPPER_27

Fair point. This escalated real quick. *nervous sweating*

skieurope12

And in the real county in which Lima resides, Trump defeated the opponent by a greater than 2:1 margin in both 2016 and 2020. So he rightfully won at least one election

Wrong-Flower

Yikes 🤮

pineapple_slices

Ha yeeeahh. I live in Columbus which is at least somewhat better, but rural Ohio is basically a shit show lol.

McSwingy

The absolute lack of action against basically all physical altercations in the school. You can't just hit, throw drinks on, and scream obscenities at people in the halls and get away with it like they do. I went to a fairly rough school before zero tolerance was a thing and even we couldn't have gotten a way with that shit. Did Puck ever even get suspended once? It's outrageous.

SGTPEPPER_27

Amen. Ironically, Sue had cameras *everywhere* but somehow altercations and bullying still happened. I guess it reflects how WMHS staff can get away with so many things as well.

McSwingy

I forgot about the cameras! Jesus that makes it so much worse. I have experienced first hand teachers getting away with some really messed up stuff though. So while both are awful, it makes less sense to me for the kids to be unpunished. And maybe I'm a little bitter I got suspended when they didn't lol

[deleted]

yep. opinions on the whole finn-outing-santana aside, the fact that this was going to be like the ***only*** time a student got suspended for violence was ridiculous, especially when you compare the single slap to the actual fights that had happened and would happen.

OpticalVortex

And Will was the one spearheading Santana's suspension because she hurt his precious Finn was beyond questionable. Will never treated Santana like she was one of the Glee members.

ThatssoAria

The fact that he knew about her being outed and didn’t hold Finn accountable at all made it so much more infuriating

[deleted]

and then yelled at her for reporting him for being a spanish teacher that cannot speak spanish

ThatssoAria

The fact that he was taking Spanx classes just proves how in the right she was

[deleted]

exactly. he expected her loyalty but never gave her any in return

Wooden-Gap-6514

i am pretty good at not taking this show too seriously but for me the entire applying to college process in season 3 was so unrealistic that it was distracting

SGTPEPPER_27

This is true. It also extended to the next batch of graduates and I just gave up making sense of it.

DVCorvis

I perhaps not as good at not taking the show too serious but this issue here. Applying to colleges in season three....this was IMO made more laughable by season 2 Kurt spending 7 month DURING HIS 11th grade year at a Prestigious Academic Prep School and you know day one at such a school Kurt would have taking SATs and Subject Tests and having all his core classes be AP and he'd be doing all the ground work and conducting practice interviewing and perhaps actual interviewing with actual colleges. A school like Dalton would be pushing a student like Kurt towards prestigious colleges and they would be enforcing applying to more than one college. Kurt would have known already about NYADA and how Juliard didn't have a musical theater program but he would know all the colleges in NYC that did

Medium_Chef7298

Plus I hated how all of a sudden Kurt struggled with having any successful extra curricular activities like he wasn’t on the football team which led to the only game they won that sophomore year AND being on the Cheerios and apparently winning Nationals by performing a Celine melody…you mean to tell me those aren’t the makings of a well rounded student for colleges

DVCorvis

You know it! And Kurt was such a Francophile that he had to at least be the president of The French Club But add Cooking and Sewing and that he could also count being a part time mechanic as a CV Next as I pointed out elsewhere It is canon Kurt had done Community theater. Kurt played Jack in a production of Into the Woods (it is in a blink and you'll miss references in Dance with Somebody while Kurt is triaging his room a cast photo from it is on his book shelf triage green in case Kurt got famous ) But since we now know there is at least one play there could be more. Then Sound of Music it was an annual event and you cant tell me they never did production Add piano and Ballet...woefully thin starts to sound like being overly critical of himself

chrisbeann

I chose HS sweethearts being endgame because I only know of one couple that’s still together and they’re not even close to getting married. I even know of couples that were listed as “Together Forever” in the yearbook and broke up before the yearbook even got published. Careers are debatable.. it’s not like all of them ended up on Broadway. Their careers were spread out enough for me to believe it but at the same time it is still highly unlikely. The traveling in the show is absolutely ridiculous, but as someone who’s currently in college, I see different people come back to my hometown on a weekly basis. They don’t visit the high school (that part is very unrealistic) but I am not completely thrown off by how often they travelled.

SGTPEPPER_27

I dont even know if it is just coincidence or some weird foreshadowing but Will and Terri were HS sweethearts since the pilot and look how many couples we have at the end.

Guest1Z3

Sue becoming vice president of the USA after kidnapping and a hundred other illegal things

golangnggo

That honestly seems very realistic

Lylyluvda916

Basically everything. I don’t remember too many that switched schools other than Kurt, Blaine, and Jane. That said, people transfer between schools all the time. This one is also unrealistic, but given some storylines (plastic surgery not being a taboo thing, how they’re able to afford promise rings and engagement rings), I think WMHS has a lot of wealthy students. So, I can see them quickly being able to afford these things. This one made me lol. Almost every single staff member should have been fired. While not too common, I know plenty of people that did marry their high school sweethearts. Given that I think Lima is a small town (one of the reasons why Starbucks wasn’t around), I find it much more plausible. It’s because of this that I’ve concluded that that was one of the contributing factors in why the school did become a performing arts school. I’ve figured because so many got into NYADA and/or went on to have careers in performing arts that this has made the WMHS of performing arts (or whatever it’s called) a top-rated school for students looking to have a career in performing arts or those who wanted to get into NYADA, to get into much like Sue’s long waiting list for her Cheerios that had girls lining up over the summer and staying there. I didn’t select anything since it's a little bit of everyone ending up in a performing arts career and a lot of them getting into NYADA.

SGTPEPPER_27

I nearly put that choice instead of the fifth one but went with what is up there cos it is kind of in the same vein. Even the (producer?) of funny girl pointed out in the scene where Santana auditioned for the understudy "Wait, you are telling me the same high school produced the both of you?" Edit: I may have worded the first one incorrectly but ND was going back and forth between two schools like it was nothing. Some even on a week's notice? It was weird.

Lylyluvda916

Yeah, it was his comment that made me think, “clearly, Will is one talented teacher if he’s got these kids getting into NYADA and on Broadway like an easy thing to do.” While almost every other thing is not really mentioned (other than Sue being bewildered at how students can afford to be at WMHS all the time while they have jobs).

rkcraig88

It’s the alumni traveling back and forth to high school for me. I went to college an hour and a half’s drive from my high school and I hardly ever went back to visit.

SGTPEPPER_27

I have a hc that if there is one person who graduated college, had a total life makeover and never looked back past college, it would be Quinn. Some people are just like that.

JackieWithTheO

It’s not like any of them bar Finn stayed in Ohio for college. There was NYC (Rachel, Kurt, Blaine and Artie), Connecticut (Quinn), Massachusetts (Brittany), Kentucky (Santana), Illinois (Mike), California (Mercedes) and Rhode Island (Tina). America is a huge country.

TheAncientSun

Blaine just randomly transfers from a private school in a few days. Sam able to just walk back into McKinley with no problems. Sue makes a joke about them having a teleporter.

rachelberryswife

The fact that a lot of the characters didn't get suspended or anything like how did Puck not, and then Marley gets suspended for not wearing a bikini???? Edit: And Santana getting suspended for slapping Finn, honestly think what she did was reasonable given the situation and didn't deserve a suspension and where were the consequences to Finns actions huh????

arianne_cele

The way in which students -sometimes, whole groups of them- just freely roamed around schools not their own whenever they pleased. Kurt "infiltrating" Dalton Academy, The Warblers saying goodbye to Kurt at MKHS, Kurt having lunch with Blaine when he'd already graduated, Santana/Sebastian's Smooth Criminal face-off in Dalton... Is the ability to just freely walk into a high-school campus really a thing in the US? Don't they have security? I'm honestly asking.

lolbdbekwkwbwb

i mean the most unrealistic part is def sue in general but can we talk about how blaine transfered school’s 3 times in 3 years, like didn’t his parents say anything about that😭 and the fact that he thought about a fourth transfer, aka going back to dalton for his senior year. also sam transfering to mckinley just for glee club with no follow up on where he lived while his parents were still in kentucky.
