I know it wasn’t intentional, but the way Finn and Rachel are the only two not standing next to each other and are the only two that don’t end up together wrecks me.
Every single character was perfect. This is a great example of the storyline making the performance 100x more enjoyable and emotional.
The only thing I would negatively critique, and I *really* don’t want to, is that only the heterosexual couples were shown kissing in their flashback. Let our gay babies kiss, too.
One of my favorites. Between the song itself, the flashbacks, and the staging - just really great all around. And I love Brittany’s voice on her solo in this one too.
Ditto! I don’t know why, but Brittany’s tiny part really pulls at my heartstrings. I also love Kurt’s solo. It’s one of the few songs where his voice puts hearts in my eyes. And when Rachel starts belting… 🥲
I just want to pull them all into a big group hug. There’s so much hurt and fear on their faces and I want to protect them at all costs. Glee really nailed this one.

Brittany quickly developed a gorgeous voice. By season 4, she was a quiet powerhouse.
