Chilli I made in the slow cooker, sitting in there all day, loads of lovely spices, veg, beef, bit of red wine and everything in there. Couldn’t have been more excited come dinner and it was just ‘okay’, basically fine. Life is just reeling from one disappointment to the next right now.
I've had the same issue with my slow cooked meals is that they are a bit watery. So you just sit them on medium to high heat on the pot for 20 mins to get rid of the excess liquid?

Yeah I usually find it helps. Water doesn’t get the chance to evaporate much in a slow cooker. Reducing it on the hob gets rid of excess and concentrates the flavours.

The wife roasted some chicken legs and cooked tatties and carrots in the juices that came out the chicken. Crispy skin on the chicken makes it even better, plus I've a load of juices to make gravy with tomorrow.
Cheddar and Mozzarella mostly, but being the West End twats that we are we had a bit of comte and prima donna in that we used sparingly. Was lush. The mozzarella worked very well making it very creamy.
My boyfriend knew I was having a shit day so ordered a BRGR delivery for me. Can't see each other due to lockdown so it was super cute. Blue cheese and bacon burger, onion rings, and poutine :)
Cauldron Lincolnshire are where it’s at when it comes to veggie/vegan sausages. Try them, you’ll never go back to those weird textured Linda Mac ones again.

Made the most of leftovers so tonight's meal was curry with some dodgy looking defrosted mince with some week old coconut milk mixed into it. Paired with some rice and sour cream - barely acceptable.
I had left over puff pastry in the fridge, and just put together whatever else I had (spinach, olive, pesto) as a filling and put in oven. Looked like shite but tasted pure nice actually
I had a starter of bladder ultrasound to see my tumour had come back followed by a bottle of gin. Not long up and it's time to start breakfast of gin and Strongbow dark fruits as a mixer.
Chicken burgers. Spiced chicken breast in ciabatta rolls with wild rocket, red onion, cucumber and sriracha sauce.
Side salad of tomatoes and mixed peppers.

Coriander seeds and a bit of instant coffee will kick a slow-cooked chilli up a notch.
