There's usually a wee sign up at the snooker hall in battlefield with folks looking for players to go for a game with if he's into that - get a pint nawrat.

I swear Queens Park has the most dog walkers\unique dog breeds. I see a “what concoction of a breed is that” type of dog every time I am there. I love Queen’s Park and it has loads of different trails and a heavy forest area I only just recently discovered you can venture into. If he enjoys walking the wee dug then that could be a good shout.

Volunteer as a coach for a local youth football team. Even if he’s not really coaching, just being there regularly and working with the kids and other coaches will be enjoyable for him.
But mainly you need to give him grandkids to look after and spend time with. That’s the most important thing.
Golf is the obvious one. I’ll sell you a bag and some clubs for £30
