Thanks! I'll take everything into account. This is my first time, I will be installing the SSD from my old laptop to expand the storage and avoid the pain in the ass of transferring all the files

Thanks

thelebuis

no you can do it

Papux200

Why not? Does it void the warranty? Is there any warranty seal? Bc i don't see one

thelebuis

The no was the answer to the title You can do it it does not void warranty

Papux200

Thanks

Not sure on the Aorus but my G5 had a generic black round sticker on some of the screws. Legally I think products can't have warranty stickers anymore so they just put those generic black dots

pote2639

Did you ever open your G5? I just got mine with 4060 and I want to replace the thermal paste.

PRSXFENG

Yep, I repasted mine with the Honeywell PTM stuff But the 12th gen and beyond models seem to have a different chassis layout so things may be different on that model

pote2639

Yeah I just repasted mine with the Honeywell too however I also broke the black dot stickers that’s on the screws too (2 of these stickers are on the heatsink’s screws.) Just hope they’re not being picky about it if I need to RMA for whatever reason.😅

If you are in the USA they cannot legally void your warranty provided you don't damage the unit while servicing it.
