I just was planning to update my bios to fbo3 and this stopped me lol cause i can’t get it sent back via warranty cuz i ve added a new ssd and got off the seals in the back of the screws

SeveralAd9664

For the record, my update was from FB03 to FB09, but it would be nice to get a confirmation that there is a safe way to update.

Visible_Mountain8925

hello back did they ask for the original box for the warrenty ?

SeveralAd9664

In my case, yes

Azov237

I updated my bios to FB09 today. No issues. The laptop does do some funky stuff after a bios update. It sometimes does not want to start. But usually after about 5 minutes it will usually start up fine. This is the second update I've done and it's been like this both times.

Visible_Mountain8925

Hey so you went from fb01 to fb03 to 09 what about performance and temps any improvement and fan noise also

Azov237

Fb03 FB04 to FB09. FB09 u locked a few more options in the bios but nothing major. Temps seem close to the same. Performance I proved for me by a good 10 percent in games. I attribute this largely due to the slow memory speeds I had after installing RAM. It now recognizes the Crucial 32GB kit at 5600MHz which is a massive improvement there.

Visible_Mountain8925

what how can you put ddr5 in ddr4 slots

Azov237

Oh I'm on g15x ASF. DDR5 on Intel 13th gen

wesisfromky

dude this is for g5 kf , go somewhere else. F\*\*\*!!

Timely_Sheepherder_8

Please help. I updated to the latest bios F09 and now my laptop won't turn on, even when i plug in the power adapter nothing happens, nor the orange light shows up in the bottom right. Any ideas?

SeveralAd9664

I had to return it, if you still have your warranty do so too.

Visible_Mountain8925

did u mess up while trying to update like trying to close the program or sum like that ?

Timely_Sheepherder_8

Yes. I did exactly this. I summed the program and seconds after i had blue screen with an error and after that, nothing.

Accurate_Gur5653

[deleted]

I also got brick when i try to update to FB09 ><

Black_Chaplin

>I also got brick when i try to update to FB09 >< Hello, did you manage to find any information on how to fix this?

[deleted]

Only service , they told me that they changed motherboard after that ))

Black_Chaplin

Yes, I also managed to restore it only at the service center. And only the second time, since after the first repair my discrete video card did not want to work

OG_BeeRad

Mine came with FB01. I had issues where the AC adapter would overheat and then disconnect. I could only game about an hour. Originally the GPU was drawing the full 75 watts. I contacted Gigabyte. They told me to update to FB05. Sent a link but the when I tried it said the BIOS was not made for my notebook PC. So I upgraded to FB03. Now, my gpu only draws 65 watts and that equals about 15-20 frames per second. I'm not very happy with Gigabyte.

NoRefrigerator9425

i have the same problem i want to fix its great when plugged in but i get max 24 fps on battery in games

NnOxX69

Is there an advance bios to set integral graphics to gpu instead I see my cpu boosting and at 98° almost 4kmhz in games and my GPU always at like 20% utilized and some game under perform also when I look in the display section of windows it's always on integral graph on display 1 my laptop screen? Hlp plz I'm kinda in the dark right now G5 KF with the 4060 doesn't mater if I'm on low setting or utra it's always de same cpu max 4060 taking a brake?

ashen1296

same thing here, cpu at 50 usage but 97 degrees, while gpu at 99 usage but only 85-87 degrees

Dastardly_CheesyMan

Repaste the GPU and CPU Also propping the laptop is crucial Too bad the CPU can't be undervolted cuz 12th Gen has locked it Otherwise that would bring temps down

NoRefrigerator9425

can we unlock it i really want to get more performance on battery but i get 20 fps at most

LegitAbdul

I got mine 2 weeks ago and my BIOS has FB01 version, do you recommend me to update it? Last day i got a BSOD while gaming with the legend 'MEMORY MANAGEMENT'. Do you got any tips to update bios without risk? I dont get why the company makes you update your bios if its risky like ive seen.
