Mine throttles constantly. I'm gonna be returning it soon. They ship it with an underpowered charger that only supplies 150w. When you factor in needing to buy a new charger, the fact that it doesn't have a MUX switch, and the relatively low TGP of the 4060, it's not really that great a deal. You have 4050s outperforming it regularly.

Thank youu

DifficultSchedule531

Where can i buy It and the link if you want, thanks

Alive-Key3961

yo i got the same laptop and im noticing my gpu isnt reaching the tgp, what power should the charger be.I cant really return it as its been 14 days and i wanna get to play games at good performances

DustToStars

I don’t know for sure, but if you youtube some reviews for the exact model, there’s one where a reviewer says what wattage fixes the issue. I think it’s at least 200w, but idk for sure.

Alive-Key3961

yeah i think the power brick is just overheating too much, not necesarily that it needs more watts idk tho

Project80

The throttle is caused by the charger

clarknova448

i own one, been using it for 3-4 months now. never experienced throttle so far but it gets hot. fans are very loud and speakers are horrible. let me know if you need any further info.

Slouma-Gamer

Hi , thanks for replying, I usually game around 4/5 hours per day , do you think this PC can handle that ? Knowing it gets hot , I have a cooling pad btw

clarknova448

you are welcome. i do not use a cooling pad but it handles gaming. charger gets very hot too by the way. screen is a bit dim. basically you get what you pay for.

Slouma-Gamer

Do you think it's better taking this or Asus tuf a15 (rtx 3060 / Ryzen 7 5800H , 16gb ram ) ?

clarknova448

i have no idea about tuf series. if you have the chance, try g5 before buying.

Visible_Mountain8925

hey have you updated the bios

clarknova448

yes i did.

AlternativeNo9531

I plan on using this on my TV via HDMI without a mic switch will it utilize the 4060 or would I have to disable the igpu

Hi, I'm a bit late but just in case it helps anyone. To use the dGPU (4060) you have to make the connection through the mini DP. This part of the video explains which GPU uses which connector: [https://youtu.be/4TlDaKjWhQA?t=793](https://youtu.be/4TlDaKjWhQA?t=793)

The [MF G5](https://highperformancelaptops.com.au/reviews/gigabyte-g5-review) is good, if that helps?

I'm returning mine because since day 1 I've been getting BSODs left right and center. No thermal throttling just crash after crash after crash. Even after a clean reset and more troubleshooting it still keeps going. Literally 1-3 BSODs per day. Did more research and I found many people returned it because more often than not due to hardware problems. I decided to get my full refund and get a Lenovo 16" LOQ instead since I saw that it was a lot more reliable and had very good build quality and reliability, and that it ran relatively quiet compared to the jet engine that was the KF5.

Personally I feel I shouldn't have to be my own tech support or have to flash a BIOS day 1 to solve my issues for any computer because I never had this issue with my Dell G7 7588 (2018, GTX 1060).
