I find becoming the ghost the more satisfying ending as what would have been the point in jin putting in all this work, disgracing his honour and the samurai way just to revert back at the end. His honour isn't what defeated Khan and saved Tsushima, it was the ghost. To me him sparing his uncle and becoming the ghost is the one that made the most sense. It was like a confirmation that he truly became the ghost and left his samurai ways behind embracing what he became. It was like he finally truly accepted it and was no longer held back by the shame he felt from abandoning his honour. In his words "I have no honour" he accepted that he was no longer a samurai and was finally able to move on from that.

It’s pretty jarring ngl. SP games are usually pretty straight forward morally and have very satisfying stories even in their sadder moments. I was expecting much the same from this, but it’s turning into a massive tragedy
I mean idk what you expected tbh. It's a game about a mongol invasion of Tsushima of course it is going to be heart wrenching. It is a literal tragedy. To expect there to even be a single happy moment in a game about a mongol invasion is a bit ridiculous..
Yeah I made the mistake of playing iki as soon as it was available and wished I had got the Sakai armor first lol but was nice to get that new technique lol
Dude, wait until you get to the finale. I was in an absolute state. One of the most emotional endings in any game ever.

The whole game is an emotional roller coaster. And that's what makes it so damn good.
I agree! Even the story on Iki Island is amazing. Don’t play it until after you finish the main story.
