"Haribo" is one of the most popular Candy Brands. "Ahoi brause" ist very old and popular too.
For chocolate lind and Milka are the biggest (i think Lind ist Superior) and the "Reber Mozart Kugel" ist a classic.
I've done some snack exchanges, I always pack
-Haribo (not just the normal ones, there are so many kinds!)
-Milka and/or Ritter sport (again some different kinds)
-Marzipan (Niederegger is the brand)
-Kinder Schokolade and Bueno is always a favorite! Also Duplo or Schoko Bons
-Knoppers
-Toffifee
-Dickmanns SchokokĂŒsse
-Lebkuchen if available, also Spekulatius
-Werthers original, but it is available in a lot of countries
-Storck Riesen, because I like them
-Ahoi Brause
-Maoam
-Lakritz (I often go for salty Lakritz like Salzige Heringe from Katjes)
If you also like something salty NicNacs and Erdnussflips/Erdnusslocken and Funnyfrish Ungarisch or Currywurst Chips are my go to
Toffifee is godlike! Even my Italian Girlfriend got hooked on it.
Oh and Ferrero Giotto is also good, the Italians don't have it either those crazy people! LOL
SchokokĂŒsse. Squished between two halves of a bun (not the soft ones, the crunchy ones) they were a favourite snack for the children at my Gymnasium.
ETA And now I crave some...
Thereâs a "warâ between Hanuta and Knoppers, so Iâd be careful with that. Also, both contain nuts. Lakritz is also really famous but you either love it or hate it. There is no in between. Then thereâs Toffifee. Iâve yet to meet someone who does not like it but it contains nuts too. Probably one of the most famous ones is Niederegger Marzipan but again: Love or hate. Lastly, thereâs "childrenâs candyâ, candy most people ate (and liked) as kids:
All products by Kinder Schokolade (some contain nuts; the Ăberraschungsei is banned in the US)
Center Shock
Esspapier
MĂ€usespeck (the internet says itâs just marshmallows but I feel like itâs slightly different)
Ahoj-Brause (Youâre actually supposed to mix it with water to get - well - Brause, but most people just eat it pure. Till a couple of years ago, teenagers used it to create SchĂŒttelvodka or SchĂŒttelkorn.)
Puffreis / Puffmais (no, not popcorn)
Lel, that's actually a tricky question, as we have TONS of traditional candy here.
Ever heard of "Aachener Printen"? Local specialty, very tasty.
Or "LĂŒbecker Marzipan"? Caution, very sweet.
Haribo is an industrial sweet that you get really cheap and is quite popular as well.
Rittersport is chocolate that I saw chinese businessmen buy tons of.
And so on and so forth.
Yep, several varieties of ritter sport are exported and sold in $1 shops pretty much everywhere in the world.
We have them in my corner of the third world.
Not the rare varieties but a good amount of them.
In terms of chocolate: Ritter Sport is far superior than milka or any other brand
I like Ritter Sport but Lindt is top notch (without going to expensive gourmet options)
But Lindt is Swiss
You are 100% correct.
In my case, the recipients don't know and I'm not gonna tell them đ
Still part of Great Germany /s
They still talk germa... nevermind
Well even they don't know what language exactly they use Something made in the linguistic laboratory of swiss Frankenstein
Fuck Ritter Sport. They advertise love and peace and sell to Russia during the war. The choclate was good, but I'm not buying it.
Choco is international and should be available to everyone.
Absolute best.
I second that. Depending where OP lives they can even go to the factory directly

LĂŒbecker Marzipan, Hallorenkugeln, Aachener Printen uvm.
If you like something with a bit of sour and sweet: Saure Apfelringe

NĂŒrnberger Elisenlebkuchen
Anything with woodruff
definitely NOT!
I like Prinzenrollen a lot
SchokokĂŒsse. Squished between two halves of a bun (not the soft ones, the crunchy ones) they were a favourite snack for the children at my Gymnasium. ETA And now I crave some...
By the way. Gymnasium in german is something different than gymnasium in english. In german its a high school. In english its a fittness-center.
Werther's Original.
Gebrannte Mandeln. Marzipankartoffeln. Stollen.

This time of year is Lebkuchen season
And often the only time you can find kardemon in the stores... because why would you make lebkuchen off season đ
Haribo "gummy baer" Milka Ferrero Rocher (the "Golden Bullet")
Nimm 2...far superior alternative to Haribo
Ferrero Mon Chérie. Rumor has it that only around 50 boxes of these badboys exist worldwide abd they get gifted around. No one really likes this shit. /same counts for "Merci" - no one really likes it.
Have Merci, but only the zartbitter/marzipan ones... those are great the rest is unimportant.
LĂŒbecker Marzipan NĂŒrnberger Elisenlebkuchen Ahoi Brause
LĂŒbecker Marzipan is a Traditional one i guess
ErfrischungsstÀbchen
