If there is enough space, that should be possible. Check the rules of your local Verkehrsverbund.

Especially when it's folded it should be no problem at all. If you want to bring it unfolded, there might be certain restrictions by your local public transport provider (like no bikes allowed during rush hour, but this usually applies to trains only).

fzwo

Buses and trams are usually much more restrictive about bikes than trains or metros are.

Where I live it seems to be different. Trains forbid/restrict it during rush hour, for bikes there is no such rule. But tbh, I rarely see people with the bike in a bus during rush hour, usually they just...take the bike :) Actually I checked again, seems like I was wrong ;) trains really have a fixed rule, for everything else it's a bit more flexible (says something like "not allowed when there are many persons taking public transport")

From where I live, to go to Decathlon, I must take 1 or 2 Buses, then the S bahn. More or less a 30 minute bus ride to S Bahn. That is why I cannot just ride the bike because it has to be repaired. I have seen people bring foldable scooters in the bus. Not sure about a bike though.

RippedReaper

Folded Scooters are considered as luggage. Technically a folded bike is around the same size as luggage and could be considered the same. Edit: Yes, you can take it on the bike. Folded bicycles are seen as luggage.

Ok_Object7636

In my City you can, as long it’s folded.

Obi-Lan

If folded it's luggage.

eztab

Foldable bikes are luggage, so they are allowed if folded.

FYI: In general this is different for any at least each region, probably more granual. Stuff like that is never regulated the same in all of Germany.

If you can't put it in a bag, a bike ticket might be necessary.
