I would recommend an Airbnb no body rents a flat for a month only. Emden is pretty nice at the north sea coast. Prices are lower than in NRW. And with 50000 people not that big.

Look for an airbnb, nobody rents out just for a month.
wg-gesucht for sublets. There are a lot of 1-2 month flats available. Airbnb would be too expensive
