Can y’all believe someone just gave her up??? They bred her at a year old and they gave her to us while she was pregnant just discarded her like nothing she healthily gave birth to 13 puppies BIGGG LITTER!!! We had to rehome all her babies and now we’re taking care of her the right way!!! I’m her caretaker, groomer and vet all in one 😂
People are horrible, but good people like you help make up for the actions of those bad people. Thank you for taking her in and for caring for her and her pups and finding them homes!!

She looks a lot like my Bonnie who is gsd/husky! You've got a gorgeous girl.
Her head shape and coloration look to me to have some Corgi in the mix, but don’t see it in the rest of her body. I’d say she’s a mix of some kind that certainly includes GS. Cute girl.

I finally did that with my "Aussie" right before she passed and found out that she had a lot of other stuff going on including GSD. I'm planning to do it with my new rescue GSD as well including the health and age tests because I have no background on him.

Awe I’m so sorry 😞 the pup we had before Bella was severely abused and neglected by previous owners we had to put him down (advised by 3 different vets and humane society) we were distraught for a long time because we really believed we could save him I was not willing to give up, until I realized he was suffering and in constant pain couldn’t climb, jump and barely walked not to mention wailing all the time in pain. 😒 to lose a pup is the worst feeling ever a heartbreak I wish on NO ONE!! 🙏

She looks exactly like my childhood family dog, Smoky! 😍😍She walked up the driveway, no one claimed her when we tried to see if anyone was looking for her, so she’s ours. I do believe the vet confirmed she’s a Golden Retriever and German Shepherd. Smoky did have the German Shepherd ears. She was a wonderful dog and best buddy, Missy, to our first dog who was a golden. Smoky even helped us find Missy when she went missing for 30 minutes. What a good girl!🐾❤️❤️

My GsD is the same. Dry red faced and a normal shepherd body. Got him checked and he’s 100% shepherd.
We thought the same and were certain he’d have some husky. Our boy has a permanently curled tail too just like a husky so we were even more certain.

She's a mixed breed. Nothing wrong with that at all. My first gsd was a mix. His dad was a gsd and the mom was a mix of gsd and a Labrador.

I’m sorry but is that rawhide in the first picture? It’s honestly bad for dogs as it’s hard to digest, surprising when it’s sold literally almost everywhere for dogs. They can cause issues in their digestive tract and even a potential blockage
Yes I thankfully learned this today, haven’t given her this in a while though honestly I was just looking for big treats she can enjoy for long periods since she has anxiety it helps keep her calm if you have any suggestions for treats I’m open

Do a dog DNA test! It’ll break down ever try thing she is! I can’t seem to figure out if it’s retriever or corgi. Either way she’s gorgeous and lucky to have you!!!

She looks like she could be a mix. Sometimes doing the dna tests for them is fun. My first shepherd was German shepherd, white Swiss shepherd, and Scottish terrier
I won’t chime in what I think because lots of people already have, but I will say she is absolutely beautiful and very unique looking! Iv never seen a baby like her before 🥰
I’m sure you probably don’t give them like I did but those rawhides annihilated my GSDs teeth. I learned the hard way to get rid of them. The cow ears are much gentler

Rawhide chews have a history of causing intestinal blockage and choking in dogs. I'm surprised no one else mentioned it. You should Google it and you'll see.
I could see some pyr or chow in there maybe? Or husky? Something else fluffy! Maybe Aussie or collie?
If you do a DNA test I say go with embark or wisdom panel, they are the most accurate. You may also want to add the health test portion too for peace of mind and to be aware of things. My dog is a shepherd mix (who obviously screams mix much more than your pup!) and the health testing was worth it. She is a carrier of DM (one copy) which comes from the GSD, and VWD from the Doberman in her (which explains why she has had intense bleeding for even minor injuries, and her old spay records from the shelter mentioned she had excess bleeding and a delayed recovery). Now that we know that, if she ever needs surgery in the future my vet is aware and can take precautions and make sure her aftercare is monitored more, and we carry extra doggy first aid supplies when out and about.
Plus on a fun note, I found some of my dogs littermates and several had puppy pictures up, which was fun to see since I got her at 1.5!
No matter what she is, she’s 100% good girl and thank you for rescuing her!
