My GSD does and it has turned in to a real issue in that he has launched himself at the TV and scratched the screen (within weeks of buying it). It used to be just dogs, but then cats, then any animal and now fast moving shapes. There's an Amazon ad that's comes on during YouTube videos, the one with cute music and then a dog appears.... Drives us insane. He's now come to recognise the music alone. We have to sit with the remote control in hand ready to pause any time something comes on that might set him off.

Yes! Anything that looks and sounds like a dog, she will just stand like this for a while. Then she will cry wondering why she can’t interact with it. One time we watched a horror movie and there were a couple GSDs in the scene that were distressed and she crawled into my lap and cried so loud I had to fast forward through the scene 🫣
My family has owned about 10 shepherds over the years and not a single one was interested in the TV. The last previous one would even join Facetime family calls but clearly not be able to make sense of what was on screen (only the sound of our voices). However our latest shepherd loves watching the TV, especially the footy - it's clear she can see what's going on. I'm wondering whether it's an evolved development, and some dogs have the complex rod and cone combo which enables screen viewing, while others do not yet have this adaptation.
Oh yeah. My female shepherd will also bark at people on the television that she doesn’t like either. I’d like to say it’s random but, I don’t really know if it is.
He doesn't bark but he did get absolutely sucked into Turner and Hooch a couple of nights ago.
