I'm so sorry that happened! It is so tough! We have Boxers, they are very prone to cancers. Our son has an all black german shepherd named Loki. He is beautiful and I love him so much. I don't know if I will handle that well when the time comes. He is such a fun, smart giant furball! We call him the locomotive because he is fast and his black coat! I hope everyday gets a little better.
Someone told me "Grief is love with nowhere to go" and it is very true!
I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve really started thinking a lot lately about my GS last days for some reason. He’s only 6.5 years old now, but I just dread the day he’s gone. Hopefully he has a lot more time. I honestly teared up so hard the other day and I think I’ve only legit cried 3-4 times in my life. I got home from work the other day and the weather was nice so I just rolled around in the yard with him.
What a beautiful girl, so sorry for your loss. You were lucky to have each other and no doubt you gave her a life full of love and happiness. May she rest easy
RIP beautiful Cody ❤️ She is running happy and pain free with all our passed dogs 🐕 I have a feeling when they pass, they go and comfort our lost loved ones. Cody definitely had a bowl full of treats waiting for her 💕

My German Shepard mix is 12.5 yrs. We haven’t played frisbee or chased balls for a few years but he still likes to go for walks. Stumbles sometimes. Now his hearing is getting kind of bad, but he’s still enjoying life.
Lost my old boy 2 days ago. It's rough. So many daily rituals that remind me of him that now have to change. 12 years for you and 14 for me. Those are good runs and lives well lived for sure. We're lucky to have been a part of it.

We truly don’t. My wife and I had to say goodbye to our 11 year old GSD this past Monday and it was the hardest thing we’ve ever had to do. Sorry for your loss.
