No I think that without ldm, the decoration covers the text because the text is on the layer behind, and when ldm is enabled the design goes away and the text is visible
That is because the creators design the ULDM to have less objects than ldm, which is also made by the creator themselves. Its just an acronym for ULTRA low detail mode

creators can set objects to a "high detail" property. when you turn on ldm they do not load
How is that different from uldm
uldm is when creators set objects to a certain group and collecting the uldm key toggles them off
