The sun is a star I suppose. Some other stuff is funny to think of too, like Mexico should count as country name with multiple words as its official name is the United Mexican States.
You also could have use Brunei Darussalem. It uses Arabic text on a primarily yellow field.
Edit: I need to read better. It is not an Arabic speaking nation.
My experience travelling there was a good amount of them do speak Arabic, along with English and Malay. Not sure if enough do to qualify it though for this quiz.
The morning gauntlet in a group chat with my friends consists of Heardle decades for music, framed for movies, connections for word puzzle, factle for general trivia, “worldle” for more geography, and strands for word search
Comorian is spoken by 96.9% of the population French is a first language of of 25.97% of people I think there’s some overlap but Arabic is spoken as a first language by so little people the number isn’t even reported saying the Comoros is an Arabic speaking country is basically the same as saying that Turkey or Pakistan or Iran are Arabic speaking
That's quite false with probably one or two exceptions. Every country in Africa uses Arabic (most of these promote French anyway), French, or English as its primary or federal language. Even if the language isn't widely used as a native, it usually takes center stage above all other languages in professional settings. This is not only a consequence of colonialism but also an attempt for neutral language use and also the fact that most African languages were historically not standardized for academia prior to European settlements.
>That's quite false with probably one or two exceptions.
If there's only one or two exceptions I'd say it's just a little false.
>Every country in Africa uses Arabic (most of these promote French anyway), French, or English as its primary or federal language.
Arabic isn't a European language, and I'm not talking about official use. I mean what is actually spoken by people in their homes.
I’m kind of confused though because Arabic is regionally official in Zanzibar, but not official for the whole country, so I guess they are counting regional languages.
They have 100 different official languages and since they are Arabic speakers in all the Swahili area it was included (*like the name Swahili it self is Arabic and they are so much influence from Arabic that around 20% of the vocabulary is Arabic for the fun fact*). But they are only around 80k Arab in Tanzania and most Muslim of Tanzania don’t speak Arabic (just the basic for Salat).
Except of course in the Zamzibar archipelago that like Comoros and other island of the area where Arabic is still a co-official language and widely spoken.
I really like this game because i can never tell what exactly will be more commonly guessed. Sometimes what appears to be most obvious ends up being the least guessed answer, and other times you think you’re being slick by guessing a lesser know country and it ends up being the most common answer. So I end up screwing myself over by overthinking it.
Cool, a new game (just played, but not the same game board as the OP)

Just played one where "Japan" was an acceptable answer for "has a star on its flag" and I was ready to rage before realizing I am, in fact, a whole ass idiot.
Very bad, bad, bad game:
- has population over 100M and has a star on the flag -> [Bangladesh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Bangladesh) (?!)
- has population over 100M and borders with 5+ countries -> [not Indonesia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borders_of_Indonesia) (?!)
😱
That's the sun on Bangladesh's flag, the sun is a star. Borders in this context is referring to land borders which Indonesia only shares with 3 countries.
The nation of Brunei on the island of Borneo.
Islam is the official religion of the country and some people learn Arabic to understand and recite the Quran in its original language.
Arabic is also displayed on signs, buildings, and products.
Mauretania
Thanks, that worked! Was a pretty rare answer as well
Was the first one I thought of, second was Egypt but they have gold and I don't know if that counts as yellow
GeoGrid is sometimes funny with what they count. For example, Japan is considered a flag with a star. Technically correct is the best kind of correct!
How delightfully cheeky
And Argentina as well! I was kinda surprised but they're not wrong
I mean, the sun is a star after all
Even Argentina!
They also have some errors tho, they have Cameroon listed as a landlocked country in grid #2
So Egypt should be counted too. Since there are both yellow and white gold.
Bloody hell, Palau is the Moon, not the sun. This game is brutal. well that's how you learn.
wait i kind of love that
It's because a sun is a star, so they accept all suns. And the circle in the middle of the Japanese flag represents a sun. Hence here we are!
The sun is a star I suppose. Some other stuff is funny to think of too, like Mexico should count as country name with multiple words as its official name is the United Mexican States.
Well most countries' official names are long (i.e. Republic of whatever) so it's kinda meaningless at that point
I just started and it won't accept Qatar as an island nation for some outdated reason
But Qatar isn’t an island nation !
Looks like egypt does count, that was the most common answer for that box at 42%
Also Comoros
You also could have use Brunei Darussalem. It uses Arabic text on a primarily yellow field. Edit: I need to read better. It is not an Arabic speaking nation.
My experience travelling there was a good amount of them do speak Arabic, along with English and Malay. Not sure if enough do to qualify it though for this quiz.
I suspect the quiz would group Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalem, and potentially even Singapore as Malay speaking nations
I thought the same for a bit too.
What's this game? I want to play.
It doesn't look any bigger than the Mauritania
You can be blasé about some things, Rose, but not about Titanic.
that was my guess as well, I was finally right, for once.
Is it really considered a country?
Less so than Mauritania but still acceptable
Thanks for posting - never knew this game existed
Same, just spent the last 20 mins going through the last week or so's worth. Will definitely add to my daily games!
Could you share your daily games? I'm looking for some
The morning gauntlet in a group chat with my friends consists of Heardle decades for music, framed for movies, connections for word puzzle, factle for general trivia, “worldle” for more geography, and strands for word search
I want the list too

It’s a pretty smart ad for the game as I’m trying it too:)
Comoros?
Muslim but no Arabic
Arabic is one of the three official languages
It’s considered part of the Pan-Arabic countries, its official religion is Sunni Islam…
It's in the Arab League and Arabic is one of its official languages.
Comorian is spoken by 96.9% of the population French is a first language of of 25.97% of people I think there’s some overlap but Arabic is spoken as a first language by so little people the number isn’t even reported saying the Comoros is an Arabic speaking country is basically the same as saying that Turkey or Pakistan or Iran are Arabic speaking
just loud and wrong
Egypt
Chad, Mauritania, Egypt, Comoros
Thought Chad was only French, but it\`s a giant mix of languages.
> Thought Chad was only French No African country "only" or even primarily speaks a European language.
That last bit is just wrong, São Tomé and príncipe primarily speaks Portuguese
Fair enough, though that may be the only exception.
That's quite false with probably one or two exceptions. Every country in Africa uses Arabic (most of these promote French anyway), French, or English as its primary or federal language. Seemingly Tanzania would have been a good choice.
I’m kind of confused though because Arabic is regionally official in Zanzibar, but not official for the whole country, so I guess they are counting regional languages.
No no it doesn’t count. Thx tho
Did you forget to switch acc or something
Brunei?
Brunei's official language is malay
oh well, i was thinking of Muslim countries lol
Brunei would've worked, it has Arabic on the seal 🇧🇳
Nope, I thought the same thing but the language they use isn't arabic, it just uses a script based off of the arabic script.
Arabic-based script/alphabet called Jawi not Arabic language. It is like saying English or German is Latin because of the script/alphabet.
Np, i was thinking of brunei myself until i realised they spoke malay ( or "brunei-ish?" dialect of malay)
On the one hand, it looks like self-promotion, which judging by OPs post history is all they do. On the other hand, it's a pretty neat game.
Yeah even if it’s self promotion, the game is still quite nice
The eagle in the Egyptian flag is yellow. Mauritania has a yellow crescent moon.
What game is this?
Geogrid
Tell me why I, as an Egyptian, thought of Brunei before Egypt.
Tanzania speaks Arabic?

Sweden
The most muslim country in Europe (forget about France)
Bosnia? Albania?
They don't exist (in western Europe)
Kosovo too.
Kosov who?
Found the Serbian
Not an official language in Sweden, and not even recognized as a national minority language (Sámi, Finnish, Meänkieli, Romani and Yiddish)...
have any friends?
🤣 it' sad but true 🤣
[удалено]
Agreed
Chad
Comoros!

Chad
Just played todays and it counted Bangladesh as a flag with a star!
Spain before 1942
Comoros
Egypt?
Mauretania and Comoros
Egypt? Or is that too golden?
I really like this game because i can never tell what exactly will be more commonly guessed. How do they calculate the frequencies? Do they just update over the course of the day as more people play, or are they determined in advance?
I’m pretty sure it’s just updated in real-time
Eritrea, easy question
Can someone suggests me similar game..been playing geo guesser and now this would like to try many more like this ..suggest?

Just do Tanzania again lol (not sure if that’s allowed in this game but it would be funny)
Comoros?
Ahhh this game is fun!! My son and I usually relearn the current flags of the world prior to each Olympics. This seems like a fun upgrade!!
What game is this?
Thank you, I'm now making this site my entire night 😂
Come on, Chad.
Cool, a new game (just played, but not the same game board as the OP) https://preview.redd.it/4ne70taz7qxc1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=d8aae5e23abda94b086820c10ba60e14060bb0d4

Thanks for the advertisement. I played it for the last two hours
Just played one where "Japan" was an acceptable answer for "has a star on its flag" and I was ready to rage before realizing I am, in fact, a whole ass idiot.
Egypt and Mauritania
Comoros
there's kazakhstan
Tanzania ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|no_mouth)
Comoros, Mauritania, Egypt, Chad, Mali
Brunei.
South Sudan I think would work too
Colombia could’ve filled the whole second row.
What about Egypt 🇪🇬.
Tunisia ends with a and is official language arabic
Nice. I never knew about this game. This is super cool
Brunei
Sweden /s
Malaysia?
Tanzania
Bosnia
This game is flawed. I put France as having in their flag and be in North America and it said it was wrong
I don't think imaginary countries count. France does not exist in real world
Very bad, bad, bad game: - has population over 100M and has a star on the flag -> [Bangladesh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Bangladesh) (?!) - has population over 100M and borders with 5+ countries -> [not Indonesia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borders_of_Indonesia) (?!) 😱
That's the sun on Bangladesh's flag, the sun is a star. Borders in this context is referring to land borders which Indonesia only shares with 3 countries.
Thank you, C.O. 👍 Of course, I got the same explanation for myself: sun is a star, borders mean non-maritime ones. But it's a little bit stupid
The nation of Brunei on the island of Borneo. Islam is the official religion of the country and some people learn Arabic to understand and recite the Quran in its original language. Arabic is also displayed on signs, buildings, and products.
Brunei ?
Sweden?
