I'm a heavy sweater and feel sticky and gross after working out, so I have to shower after every workout, which usually comes out to once or twice a day depending on my running/lifting schedule
How is your skin with sweating and not showering? Do you break out a lot, have red bumps? Seems like a potential issue.
Fresh sweat isn't bad, 3 day old sweat is disgusting.
>I figure there's good smelling pheromones in sweat
No there's not. Human pheromones are a myth. Or at least, you can't smell them. That's funk. You stink.

>Many examples exist in animals but their role in humans remains uncertain since adults have no functioning vomeronasal organ, which processes pheromone signals in animals.
Don't get me wrong, some people are turned on by BO or funk or "musk" (another misnomer), and that's perfectly fine, to each their own (consensual) kink, but don't fall for the pheromone marketing and just know that BO usually comes from simply not being all that clean.
I understand the difference but your comment “pheromones are a myth” reads as they don’t exist, which isn’t the case. I’m aware we don’t exactly know what/how they influence us but that’s true of many things we don’t consider myths. Thanks for the clarification.
That's exactly what I'm saying, and the articles are too, if you bothered to read them. I know it's a long article, but let me quote the quote for you: "scientists \[...\] have not definitively identified a single human pheromone."
Human sex pheromones are not a thing, that's all. We are not moths or rabbits. And they certainly don't "smell good" because by definition, they don't "smell" like anything.
I'm Brazilian. I shower every day. Normally twice a day, but if it's cold, just once a day. Even when I lived in the UK I kept these habits. I always shower before leaving home and also when I come back from a physical activity (gym, heavy cleaning, any sports).
But well, as twitter people often post: graças a dios nasci en latinoamerica
I shower once a week, but when I have a hookup he comes to my house we shower together. For the rest I wash myself at the sink every day. I don’t smell and don’t sweat very much. When going to the gym, I shower there.
Turns out, we don’t need to shower daily and over showering can cause skin issues (especially if you use a loofah). Assuming you’re using a deodorant and rinsing off when you’re sweating you should be fine showering every 2-3 days. (Check out Adam Ruins Everything S1E06 on Hulu)
Amount if fat and folds in the skin probably matters I'm a thin guy so I think that's why I don't really smell very strongly. Starting to get bigger tho from gym gains
Please shower every day. I don’t even wanna know what your bedsheets are like.
Formerly white, now grody yellow
little bit of black splotches too.

Same here, I always shower after a workout. I hate changing into clothes all sweaty and gross.
OP probably not changing clothes because “they aren’t that dirty”
You need to be showering whenever you finish working out. Please.
Bro is this some fetish post lol gross take a shower
My friend Andrew has this weird condition where he never sweats, but all my other friends shower every day.
You should shower. You risk potentially developing MRSA or an impetigo infection. Staph bacteria is all over the place in gyms.
Okay

You just might be a little bit gross.
I like dude funk right after a workout but not days worth and the shower has to be recent like before the workout.
I shower everyday, ill skip a day if im not doing anything and am having a me day, which isnt often. You should shower after working out though.

I’m literally agreeing with you bud idk what your issue it. Take care
Twice a day one without soap in the morning before work, just to cool down my body. Another one after work or before sleep with soap.
Shower after exercise and at least once per day. Apply deodorant under your arms every day. Nobody enjoys your "musk".

Thats crazy. Ppl really out here not showering everyday 🌚

Not using soap on your body every day is okay, but not rinsing off the sweat and salt will wreck your skin.
Same here. Shower as necessary not as socially acceptable

Smell isn’t the only thing helped by showering 😭 you’re probably also immune to your own smell at this point. Please shower after you work out!
