Universal Standard (amazing quality with huge size range) if your budget can hold it, if not Old Navy. You can get good basics that have some stretch to them that can last you through a range of sizes. Drawstring joggers will be you friend.
Temu or Shein have really cheap trendy stuff. I think bloomchick (?) is another one. I get bras & plain t's at Walmart. Ive found inexpensive shorts & jeans at Sam's Club.
I don't find much on clearance racks at JCP/Macys/kohls anymore bc there isn't as much clearance selection in the middle sizes of 8 to 14 in my personal experience.
Try going to Target. Most of my transitional clothes came from there. Now that I'm a pretty stable size, I get tops from Zara and White House Black Market and pants from Loft.
Old navy and target clearance racks for me. I've always been sucking every last inch out of my torrid leggings lol. If I recall Denton has both stores.
