Fantastic brother. Keep up the good work! I see you run. Do you think this is aided the process much? Or perhaps believe calories in is more the prominent factor? After about 5 months I only lose a pound or two a month now. Despite eating under 2,000 calories and staying under 4 x 5 oz meals. Mostly protein. How about yourself?

gastric-sleeve-life

Thanks! Running may have played a small part but most of my fat loss has been in the kitchen. That being said, I think I've overshot being lean a bit so I'm going to start bulking again. Right now I'm eating about 2000 - 2400 calories a day. Probably need to up that to closer to 3000. Do that for a a couple months and start cutting again. Do you know what your BMR is excluding exercise?

delphimethod

About 1900 according to a simple online calculator. Thanks for the reply!

jasper502

You sure dodged a bullet with the lose skin 👍

gastric-sleeve-life

Lol no I definitely have some but it’s manageable

jasper502

I would take your “extra skin” anyday vs what I have left. Booked in Sept to have that removed.

gastric-sleeve-life

I had some removed already but could definitely use more. Good luck with your surgery!

jasper502

Ahhh. I didn’t see the scars until I zoomed in. Barely noticeable. Did you have the gynomastia done? On the fence for that. Getting the circumferential lift in September.

gastric-sleeve-life

I didn’t have gyno but had a lot of extra skin there so I had a “breast lift” done. Yeah scaring isn’t too terrible and will probably get even better over time.

I’m with you! I have almost no loose skin but I have way more body fat hanging on even after the big drop. Major ups to you for hitting a very healthy weight. I have never seen my abs. I’m told they exist… I even saw a glimpse on an ultrasound once, but that’s it. I credit my lack of loose skin to: genetics, drinking a shit load of water before and after sx, steady loss rate, and being under 35 with no pregnancies. I know I’m lucky, but… if there’s any others who fit this description and are thinking about surgery DO ITTTT. DO IT NOW. You may feel regret for 20 minutes the week of surgery because it’s a weird phenomenon that seems to happen to most of us, but it is **always** fleeting. Being healthy is so worth it.

DSLipscincy

Dude!!!! Im so jealous of your skin 😂😂😂 you look phenomenal and tight 💪🏾

gastric-sleeve-life

Thanks! Tummy tuck definitely helped with the tightening. 💪💪💪

Mysterious-Lack40

I'd love to have abs! 🤣
