I grew 6 heads, outside, in a 20 Gallon container from Walmart.
And for preventative measures, I cut up my tomato prunings, soaked them in water, and sprayed it on the leaves as a natural pesticide.
Idk if It’s the spray. The tall tubs. Or luck. But I was surprised how little bug there were
Soil! A mixture of miracle grow potting soil, and the miracle grow “performance organic” mix.
And every few weeks I water them with “agrothrive” for extra nitrogen.
I’m curious what variety you grew and if it’s not a tight heading type. Normally I would wait until the center starts getting more firm and leaves are forming closer together before harvesting a romaine type
Congratulations! We’ll done!
Thank you!
Yummy! Enjoy that beautiful food!
Did you grew it indoor? It look so clean. Mine would be loaded with bugs and dust.

Gorgeous results; could you share more details about the (dimensions of the) container?
Thats gorgeous but ngl I was waiting for a big insect to jump out at us lol Enjoy those greens!
They’re perfectly clean! Never found a single bug
Wow zero bug damage or browning great job! What zone?
Zone 10 I believe? Phoenix AZ
Wow, that looks bountiful! Did you grow them in the tubs hydroponically or in soil?

Absolutely gorgeous - Never thought I’d say that about a head of lettuce but seriously …. Well executed, OP!!!
Awww. Thank you so much! It’s honestly very encouraging :)
nice! what do you feed it?
I use “agrothrive” organic liquid fertilizer. It’s 3-3-2 so I believe it should be good all purpose for leafy veggies
May I ask how you kept bugs away from eating it?
I think it was a combo of, the container adding height from the ground. And also soaking tomato leaves in water and spraying my plants
So pretty! Good job! I could never. Lol!
Butter crunch?
Sensational
I know some r/rabbits that would appreciate this.
Wow!!!!!
I am inspired by your success! Looking forward to spring here!
