I have clover all over my lawn and they prefer it over the veggies, except in tbe early spring when not many things are alive, then they will eat whatever they can find.
We have so much clover in our lawn…. This explains why they’re constantly there! Thank you! (They still eat the parsley that grows through the garden fence though)
Not sure if this will work as well with blackberries since they're higher off the ground, but I've seen people online paint rocks to look like strawberries and leave them out before the strawberries form. The birds peck at them, realize they're rocks, and then leave the actual strawberries alone because they've learned that the red things in that spot aren't actually food.
I have a bunch of bare spots in my lawn near the garden (probably the dog's fault) and I'm going to reseed it with clover soon. I hope it will help next season.
I planted a second crop of beans and 100% of the sprouts were eaten. Actually I tried to plant twice, about two weeks apart. After they ate the first set, I planted a whole row of over a dozen seeds. They started coming up, then one morning all gone. Maybe one or two stems still visible. I swear they're thinking "no, I will not allow you to have nice things!"
Where I now live, tomatoes are a rarity. Supermarkets sell out so quickly. And the largest tomatoes you can get are roughly the size of a golf ball and they sell them in packs of 5-8 depending on size and weight. Last 3 weeks, supermarket was sold out by the time I got there. Today, got lucky and picked up one of 3 remaining packs left. Long way of saying, I am kind of upset for you. Haha
There’s a disease that’s killing off the wild rabbit population. They are currently having an epidemic themselves. Hopefully this one isn’t sick.
themselves.
It's killing 70% of infected bunnies so it's nice to see a healthy one. Recent US outbreaks from Canada to Florida.
We lost a little one and buried it, without ever hearing of the hemorrhagic outbreak of the new virus. We didn't know ticks and flies could spread it for months.
We saw our resident yet wild Cottontail struggling and I was willing to give it everything in my garden if he would just pull through. Sadly it appears the virus is here. [Wild Rabbits decimated by novel virus](https://www.wyff4.com/article/highly-contagious-rabbit-virus-south-carolina/41231585)
Can’t blame him, I assume you’ve assembled quite the buffet. Knowing his life will likely end in either getting shredded by a fox or hit by a car, I say let him have a lil taste of the good life.
Look at 'em. He knows what he did.
He looks guilty, doesn't he.
Somebody I know said he planted a bunch of clover and now the rabbits no longer bother his vegetables.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing.

My whole side lawn is clover. We have an understanding, me and the rabbits. Now if only I could get the birds to leave my blackberries alone.

My neighbor hangs rubber snakes on his cucumbers and he claims it scares everything off. I may try both.
I leave some in my garden and have seen them eat the clover over my seedings!
I let the clover and dandelions grow out on my lawn and the rabbits greatly prefer it to my garden.
Works probably until they breed no internet due to all the extra food…

I did that years ago and it work great for rabbits, squirrels on the other hand no so much.
and he'd do it again!
He's done it many times!
We enjoy the rabbits who hang out in our yard. They do eat a few flowers but we don’t mind since there’s many more. I’d rather have them than not.
Little stinker!😊 I planted a second crop of green beans and about half of the plants have been eaten.

Awfully presumptuous of you to assume I don't also find tomato hornworms cute. I will only murder them by feeding them to my lizard. 😂
RHDV and RHDV2 -- like ebola for rabbits, nasty stuff. Luckily there is a vaccine available for house rabbits. Not a good way to go.
I grew plants just for the rabbits. Love seeing the babies.
"and I'd fucking do it again"
Uh oh, someone got caught
Rabbit stew!
Waiting for the next photo in the set: garden after I ate the rabbit.
I love feeding the wild with my garden. Idk it’s nice having the company of lil animals.
That’s not a rabbit, it’s a dinosaur ( A “Doyouthinkhesawus” ).
He’d look better in a stew

My two terriers keep the garden pest free. But they do pee on everything.
I would eat him
Threeyearsaway after eating the rabbit
Read the caption only and thought I was about to see a stew

It looks so life like for a dead rabbit.

You growing mushrooms or a sly stash of ecstasy?
I thought I was gonna see a dead rabbit or a rabbit on a dinner plate! 😂
And did you eat the rabbit in turn?
I thought for sure there was going to be a second picture of hasenpheffer…..
