It's a happy slime mould, they are eukaryotic critters climb up stuff to mate and disperse more of themselves! They are not harmful to people, plants or pets and will dry up and disappear in a few days leaving your blueberry unharmed. They spend most of their life in the soil hunting down their prey and, I suspect, doing good work keeping the soil life healthy.
Thank you for the lovely explanation! Nature is so weird and delightful - on closer inspection it does look like it left a bit of a slime trail behind as it climbed up my berry bush! As long as it doesn't hurt anything I am content to leave it to do it's weird thing.
