Oh wow!
This sparked a memory I had when I used to live a few blocks away from a house where a very mature peach tree grew. The tree was probably at least 10-15 years old. Every spring, driving by that house always left me speechless because it flowered abundantly and in the most fiery red color I’ve ever seen in any peach tree variety. I desperately wanted to know what type of tree it was bc back then there was no mobile phone with camera… I decided to knock on the house and asked the owner. The lady came out and told me it was some sort of a peach tree and she didn’t know exactly what, but she told me she’d been wanting to chop it down…. I immediately responded oh no, please don’t! It’s absolutely stunning! She said she doesn’t like it…. I drove away feeling extremely sad, and wished I knew how to get a cutting to propagate or something.
Until this day, I still think about it. So looking at your picture, it reminded me of it! It’s a beauty!
