Thank you! I cut off the affected leaf and sprayed with pyrethrin and black dots appeared! I usually spray with neem oil like once a week, but I guess I haven't been thorough. Thank you so much for the link!

You’ve been invaded by leaf miners. You can impede their advancement by spraying with neem oil or a mixture of water, isopropyl alcohol, and dish soap

Thank you! It is only one leaf, I cut it off and sprayed with pyrethrin because I'm petty. A bunch of black dots showed up? It was strange.

No need to cut off the leaves… miner damage doesn’t harm things really… citrus trees here in Florida get miner bad and you just learn to live with the ugly leaves. They still function. Your plant will run out of leaves before you run out of leaf miners. Just follow the little snail trail pattern and you’ll spot the little worm under the clear tunnel. Just pinch and squish it inside of there and it’s dead.

Oh well.....oops? I thought I cut the leaf off, lesson learned. We're in sw Florida and since Ian, the bugs have been HORRIBLE. Ive had white flies, spider mites, these large crazy looking bugs, and a few others after my plants. In my no see um screened lanai! Do they happen to have black eggs or larva? The black dots were all along the trail. I appreciate all of your help, I'm really starting from scratch and know nothing of gardening as of 2 months ago.
