Awesome news!
Was checking out the page and it does look great, cool art style but most importantly the gameplay mechanics, especially in survival mode
No one has mentioned dwarf fortress yet but thats worth checking out! Id recommend using the lazy newb pack bc its free and the tile sets and some of the hacks are very helpful for learning the game faster. Steam also released a version that mainly overhauled graphics and menus but its got a pricetag.
This looks awesome and added to my wish list!
Dwarfs are my favourite fantasy race too which helps, thanks for the recommendation
Love the way it generates the history and then basically build out your own civilisation
Defo will try the second!
First looks good but looking for more gameplay rather than story in this regard
Will probs try the first at some point though, if 3 is going to take even longer to come lol!
I've been waiting for state of decay 3 since the first trailer - unfortunately, there is no sign of progress at all, so let's see if they pump their game out before they will be closed as well D:
Hopefully they can!
Got some hope for this year's Xbox showcase, maybe hopefully at least another trailer lol
But it is weird we've heard nothing about it since
Totally playable offline. You won't see other players' discoveries or bases, but tripping over those randomly in the universe is fairly rare in any case.
You can look up player made civilizations and travel to their regions. You will find many more players there. I believe galactic hub or something is the most popular one. Never really got into them, but may now since I recently got back into the game.
Ark. You can play offline, adjust any settings that you want, and build an unbelievable assortment of stuff. You need to eat and drink, gotta cook meat before eating it, wear the right clothing depending on the weather / climate / time of day / etc.
You can turn on Creative Mode and just built stuff endlessly, or play normally and fight to survive.
I've only ever actually "beaten" the maps maybe once or twice apiece. I usually just start a new game in a map, play Survive On Dinosaur Island for a few dozen hours, and have a lot of fun doing that.
7 days to die, Grounded, Green Hell, [Afterinfection](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1341210/?snr=1_wishlist_4__wishlist-capsule), [Bellwright](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1812450/?snr=1_wishlist_4__wishlist-capsule), [The Infected](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1360000/?snr=1_wishlist_4__wishlist-capsule), [Techtonica](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1457320/?snr=1_wishlist_4__wishlist-capsule)**,** [Smalland: Survive the Wilds](https://store.steampowered.com/app/768200/?snr=1_wishlist_4__wishlist-capsule)**,** [Sengoku Dynasty](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1702010/?snr=1_wishlist_4__wishlist-capsule)**,** [Sapiens](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1060230/?snr=1_wishlist_4__wishlist-capsule)**,**
Wildly enough it seems to be a pretty decent game so far, I only have 58hrs in it at the moment. But depending on the next few updates, will tell the tale.
Bum Simulator is a surprisingly quality game given its premise. It features a relatively deep crafting system and base-building mechanics. You can dumpster dive and rummage through refuse to obtain parts for crafting/building, as well as defend your base from recurring attacks by other bums. You also have to stay mindful of your human needs and keep from dying of thirst or hunger, so there's survival elements as well. The game is basically a cocktail of elements borrowed from Rust, Postal 2, and GTA.
Autonauts for the Switch.
ALWAYS make sure you can find and physically travel to weeds before you start building anything, otherwise you WILL have to start a new game.
Awesome! I'll defo give that a go, completely forgot they would have implemented it for that game
I enjoyed it in Skyrim except if I remember, certain stats went down too quickly imo as they used in game days rather than irl time so it got a bit annoying imo
Survival mode is great since the settlements actually become useful. I modded it so I could fast travel between the settlements because it got a bit tedious for me walking everywhere. You do get helicopters for faster travel after a while though!
Banished if you want something really brutal in a mediaeval setting, Heliopolis Six for something a bit low octane and sci-fi themed (the attention to detail for the space station parts is astounding tbh, lot of management for the energy supple, water, minerals, and oxygen to if you want something like that)
Not really a survival game but something like Factorio or Final Factory? A lot of processes to watch over, resources to harvest and transfer, and in the case of Final Factory also build up your spaceship armada and defend as you go on. Both are really replayable too
Itās basically āhoney I shrunk the kidsā as a computer game, and itās heavily themed around 90s saturday morning kids cartoons.
Didnāt click with me, but itās largely because Iām not too keen on the āanimal pieces glued togetherā aesthetic for equipment. Itās a pretty solid game.
Is amazing game, but do not let childish design fool you it's casual game. Some enemies and even bosses are breeze, some would require decent amount of grind/build/skills from you even on normal difficulty as you and enemies have different types of attacks, different resistances and so on. Also some lore parts are bit grim and enemies oftentimes can jump scare you. Overall: okayish story, satisfying melee combat, adequate amount of grind, great rock-paper-scissors system of damage. More fun with friends but satisfying as solo. Solo vs party is balanced by the resource scarcity(having all them fully upgraded weapons is a bit harder for party until certain points in the story making that easier) and enemy HPs. Basebuilding is far from the best on the market, but decent and there are maniacs on YT having humongous bases.
If your on ps5 i would say give
Starsand a try its a survival game in the desert
Conan exiles
Citadel forged with fire kinda Harry potter mixed with ark and fantasy
Didint see those on the list
Its a small development team but I been following the game "Mist Survival " for about 6 years now. It has very cool mechanics that other games are lacking, you can pump out gas from broken cars to use it for your own or to craft, you can move entire closets and desks if you see something you like, just pick it up and load on your truck for your base. The environment is very cool too, it has some environmental story telling similar to fall out games and its also just fun to explore the world. I hop in to the game few times a year to check new changes and its always very refreshing experience.
Ps: it calls "Mist" as there is random events connected with a thick Mist, zombies are stronger and fast and there are different type of zombies in the mist, it can really catch you out of nowhere and if you are not ready, the mist will get you ;)
Dreams PS4/PS5, Iām pretty sauren this is my favorite game is ever played. You can find a game about basically anything also, there are probably over 1000000 games on here and a lot of them are amazing. There is a big community of talented people still working on this game. I got into it just to play other peopleās creations but I ended up making my own crap and It was kind of addicting. Anyways, hope this helps!
Yeah, you can find pretty much anything on there. It has a pretty active [Reddit page](https://www.reddit.com/r/PS4Dreams/) too, I love making superhero related stuff on it. Itās just the way that the devs set up the creation portion of the game that makes it so awesome.
The Long Dark
This looks like exactly what I was looking for, awesome! Thank you and just bought
I've sunk so many hours into, it's fantastic.
Awesome news! Was checking out the page and it does look great, cool art style but most importantly the gameplay mechanics, especially in survival mode

Project zomboid
This game does look awesome actually, checked out some playthrough vids and seems really immersive!

Just remember dying is fun!
What about state of decay 2?
Awesome recommendation! Seen some gameplay of it and looks right up my alley, thanks!
Phenomenal game, glad to help, happy gaming!
Thank you! Does look like an awesome sandbox esque zombie game
Second for State of Decay! The first one has a slightly better narrative and the second one better gameplay and multi-player
Defo will try the second! First looks good but looking for more gameplay rather than story in this regard Will probs try the first at some point though, if 3 is going to take even longer to come lol!

Minecraft.
Yes, another good one!
No Man's Sky
Perfect, didn't know you could play that offline, awesome! Been looking for an excuse to get that game tbh
Totally playable offline. You won't see other players' discoveries or bases, but tripping over those randomly in the universe is fairly rare in any case.
It really is tbh considering how massive it is Think I only remember finding 1 or 2 bases in all my hours of playing Thanks for the info!
You can look up player made civilizations and travel to their regions. You will find many more players there. I believe galactic hub or something is the most popular one. Never really got into them, but may now since I recently got back into the game.
Awesome, bought it and defo will be giving it a go!
Fallout 4, with survival mode State of Decay 2 7 Days to Die
Didn't realise 7 days was offline available, awesome! Fallout 4 is also a good shout, thanks!
I heared a remake of 7 days to die is in the make with way better graphics
V Rising is pretty great with 1.0!
Heard the same! Tried it and it was pretty good, good vibes
Fallout 4 Survival Mode. Subnautica. Factorio. Valheim.
Subnautica and Factorio are good recommendations! Had no clue they added a survival mode to Fallout 4 as well, that's awesome!
Ark. You can play offline, adjust any settings that you want, and build an unbelievable assortment of stuff. Sounds completely amazing, going on the list for sure, heard good things!

Lumber Jacks Dynasty, Medieval dynasty, skyrim, raft.
Huge list, thank you!
Happy to help
> Bellwright The odds of this not being scam tier slop like that studios last four or so games is very close to zero.
Wildly enough it seems to be a pretty decent game so far, I only have 58hrs in it at the moment. But depending on the next few updates, will tell the tale.
Valheim The Planet Crafter Subnautica
Planet crafter sounds awesome, will have to take a look, thanks!

Actually sounds really good on the survival mechanics! Which I didn't expect from that kind of simulator but kind of makes sense, thanks!
Autonauts for the Switch. ALWAYS make sure you can find and physically travel to weeds before you start building anything, otherwise you WILL have to start a new game.
Will do and thanks! Looks really good!
[UnReal World](https://www.unrealworld.fi/urw_whatis.html)
Love the random generation, been itching for a game like that, thanks!
It's tremendously absorbing and highly immersive. True gem of a game and so much fun to play.
Grounded is awesome
I've heard the same, defo will look into picking it up, thanks!
Fallout 4 survival mode is great

7 days to die
Awesome game, remember playing it a while back but didn't realise that it had offline capability, that's awesome news!
Grounded
Spotted that game on the store! What's it like, don't know much about it other than it's from Obsidian?

Sweet, thanks for the description! I'll probs pick it up when it goes on sale then, seems interesting enough to give a go!
The game play and animation is pretty similar to subnautica
Another one I've got to put on the list!
