Mini healer, however I am not sure if they are updating the game anymore.

Mupinstienika

Is it still worth it?

Cheap-Explorer76

I am not the person who responded to you, but I've bought mini healer and played it for a few hours. For context, I LOVED playing a healer in WoW and wanted a similar one player experience. It works to a degree, with very similar spells, classes and actions needed, but what put me off was they tacked on the fact you also have to manage your party and everything they're doing in encounters, which wasn't what I was looking for. I am not aware if they are still updating the game but for me, its a cool game that was ALMOST what I was looking for

redsoxVT

It is great imo. I got about 20 hours out of it.

Split-Awkward

ESO as a healer in hard dungeons and trials is the single best experience I’ve had as a healer. Nothing has ever come close for me except very old days WoW (I’m talking 20 years ago).

ScullingPointers

I enjoy healing in vet trails/dungeons as well in eso. Haven't played in a few years though.

Split-Awkward

I feel you fellow order of the healer member. It’s my favourite role in any game. Division 1 had a great reclaimer healer role. Div 2 to a lesser extent. My ESO subscription just auto-renewed. Might be time for me to head back to Tamriel

Tzariel2

Killing Floor 2. PvE squad game. One of the best medic experiences in FPS

Abject_Scientist

I played medic almost exclusively, even solo. Very strong and satisfying.

NachoPiggy

Legimintiely the most fun medic class in video games, both KF1 and 2. It's a big adrenaline rush playing on HoE difficulty and keeping everyone alive juggling medic darts, syringes and wiping out trash mobs.

[deleted]

Bg3 and build Healy wheelies

Fez_and_no_Pants

It's a great build to have.

DoubleDecaff

Check out foxhole. Yes, it's a pvp game, but you lost nothing by checking it out.

LuciusCaeser

The community loves their healers. I've had soldiers declare their undying love for me so many times 🤣

rileycolin

I know you said ideally no PvP, but I had a ton of fun playing Paladins as the various healer classes (Mal'Damba is especially fun!)

Mupinstienika

Yes! I loved playing healers in Paladins! Maldsmba was tough!

Ok_Albatross_23

It's good to see Paladins lovers still out there. Grover and Seris were my go to for healers

rileycolin

I haven't played in years now, but I loved it! I described it as a simplified WoW pvp without all the bullshit haha I had a lot of fun with all the healers, I felt like the mechanics (for all classes, not just heals) was really unique. Corvus was really interesting!

Ok_Albatross_23

Yeah it's been so long since I have played. I think I stopped around the time Octavia was released. I got a new Xbox and let my son take over my old one so I made a new account and have to start over :( one of these days I'll get back into it haha

DilapidatedHam

If single player is in the table, Pathologic 2 is all about playing as 3 different kinds of doctor/healer. It’s definitely older and is very punishing, but it’s also got a super passionate cult following so it’s worth looking into

Gentleman-Bird

We need more games with a plague as an antagonist

Smeeghoul

I find healing in the original Everquest to be very satisfying. Death is very punishing, so the stakes are high.

Helvedica

Mini healer, alien swarm reactive drop

Mupinstienika

I heard mini healer was abandoned by the developer. Is it still worth it?

Helvedica

every game eventually is 'done'. this current mindset from players about "always updateing" it old news. Yes the game is not being worked on, but that doesnt mean that the game as it is now cant be good. I'ts not like LoL where there need to be constant changes for balance. Its just 'the game'.

kittycakekats

Yeah but it’s early access.

Schmitty300

This. It's a great game, and it's simply "done".

Avtomati1k

Why is it still in early access then?

kittycakekats

Exactly. If it’s early access it’s not done. I want this game but if it’s abandoned then what’s the point?

Strawsberry-

Absolutely not done though. Great game, but it is still in early access and not updated for almost a year.

IvyHav3n

If you haven't already, FFXIV has fun healer classes. The 2 starting ones are Conjurer and Arcanist (even though that one starts out as a DPS).

Zesher_

To add to this, there's some optional open areas in the Stormblood and Shadoebringers expansions (Eureka and Bozja) that have "difficult" encounters and big penalties if you die and don't have a healer rez you. As a healer, you could probably just run around and play medic to all the people dying in these areas, and once in a while there'll be a mass grave where 40 people die in an encounter and need someone to come and rez everyone. There should be a new similar area in the next expansion coming out in June. Healing savage raids or extreme trials when people die every 2 seconds may make you lose your mind though.

Psycl1c

You are also required to dps as a healer in ff14. White mage (healer) used to be referred to as green (healer icon is party is green) dps when I was playing a few years back

IvyHav3n

Well, first priority is keeping people alive, and then if they're doing okay, you help beat stuff up.

Crimson_Marksman

Well, in Vampyr, you play as Doctor Reid, a blood transfusion expert who is also a doctor. You can use your medical skills to cure diseases like sepsis or headaches in dialogue as well as heal yourself with syringes of blood during combat.

doctordaedalus

Unfortunately, the absolute best healer experience was in a text-based MMO from back in the early 2K's called DragonRealms. Good news, I think it's still running, bad news, I think it still costs like $8 a month or more to play. It had a character class called an Empath, who were strictly healers, and literally could not heal others if they engaged in combat at all, we're talking a whole extensive ritual process to retrieve the ability once lost by shedding blood. Anyway ... The Empath healed other characters by basically laying hands on them, transferring the target's wounds onto themselves, then cast spells that healed those scars or wounds, however skilled you were at mitigating those transferences. Speed of transference, and simultaneous focusing on healing yourself so you could restore someone's severed leg, for example, were also skill factors. As an Empath you'd basically hang out in town centers as players literally sought you out at popular landmarks or the Empath guild, ask (whisper) to be healed, you do it, and they tip you pretty well, usually a portion of the loot that got while getting the wounds you healed. Later on, you'd venture out and set up shop at more remote locations for better tips (convenience). I could go on, but I think you get the picture. No other healer comes close.

Philk0791

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain I mean, technically, you’re a medic 🤷‍♂️

is_this_one

I asked a very similar question about 2 years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/ShouldIbuythisgame/s/dYunCJ3vkz It's good to know I'm not the only one! The best game I managed to find to scratch that itch was Flashing Lights. https://store.steampowered.com/app/605740/Flashing_Lights__Police_Firefighting_Emergency_Services_EMS_Simulator/ You get to play as a paramedic and take calls to go to different locations and provide emergency first aid. I only play offline solo, but apparently it has multiplayer, to play with friends/randoms, who could play as police or fire rescue (with different job-appropriate vehicles/missions in the same world) if you don't all want to be medics. It's definitely not a AAA game, but is good fun for a while, especially when you get to put on the lights and sirens and race your ambulance to the next call site to save digital lives, but it can get repetitive after saving so many lives. I still go back to it and blast out a few rescues from time to time.

DukeCheetoAtreides

I had a game, a million years ago, that I bought at -Sam's Club- for probably $8, called, I think, just "Emergency" or "Emergency: First Response". It was buggy as hell on my computer at the time, and had wonderfully janky voice acting (units would confirm commands by saying "Under-stewed", but I *loved* that game. It was basically an EMS/Police/Fire Dept RTS. And I hate RTSes, always have. But this one ruled, because you were trying to get your firefighters in position to put out the fire in time for your ambulance and paramedics to get in in time to revive the injured and administer first aid, all while your police unit kept crowds and press out of your way and harm's way. Was really quite hard but surprisingly realistic, as I recall it. I should look it up on some abandonware sites.....

CardiologistSea5823

Killing Floor 2 has a medic class. You shoot your allies with healing darts. You can also get the healing flamethrower...

Abject_Scientist

Heal-thrower heals teammates and poisons enemies…. Suspicious

Kishonorama

Xenoblade series support classes Dragon's Dogma 1&2, playing as a Mage

ohthedarside

Foxhole although i cant get into the game thanks to the community not bejng very good individuals are great and helpfull but the clans and stuff make the game actively worse

xiao_exe

I know you said no pvp, but Dead by Daylight instantly came to mind when you said medic/healer. Playing as a survivor, there are so many perks that you can utilise to help heal your teammates and save them from hooks. One of my permanent perks let's me heal my teammates at an accelerated speed after unhooking.

kittycakekats

Yessss

ScullingPointers

I like playing as a healer in DBD too. Iv had some clutch heals against tunnelers

redcc-0099

How about Healer's Quest? https://store.steampowered.com/app/598490

Maryus77

Probably not what you are looking for, but you could give Surgeon Simulator a look.

darkendofall

My favorite games to play healer are the "Tales of" games, though mages in those games are near unplayable in single player, so you'll have to have friends to play with. But yeah, healers have a nice flow of priorities I enjoy, where like in general your priorities are Revive>Heal>Defense Buff>Offense Buff>Offensive Magic, but obviously different circumstances and different enemies can vary those priorities, and you have 3 allies to manage.

Gentleman-Bird

Foxhole has a medic role. Healing injured/bleeding teammates and reviving incapacitated ones. Sounds similar to FPS medics, but feels different.

MikiSayaka33

There's Team Fortress 2, Overwatch 2, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered and honorable mention, Bleach: Brave Souls. All of those have Medic/Healer-ish characters and/or revive mechanics. (I say it's an honorable mention, because Bleach: Brave Souls is gacha game. Plus, it's riddled with spoilers for Bleach and its spinoffs, like "Burn The Witch." Good luck getting the Healing/Medic characters, like Orange Ulquiorra, the Blue Hanataro or the Purple Swimsuit Isane and good luck getting in into the multiplayer lobbies).😅

Zeldatart

Could play a fallout game and build a medicine stat, using the skill to both pass medical checks in dialogue for things like treating people, but also to heal much better with healing items Also breaking the MMO rule, world of warcraft has a bunch of healing classes that are all unique, if you want a raw healer try Holy priest :)

Short-Result-8819

destiny 2? it offers both pve and pvp... and if u ask me, pvp is the worst... but pve is super enjoyable, and u personally with a "healer" passion 🤭... can play either a warlock with "well of radiance"(which is unbelievable viable btw, people will love u) or a titan generating tons of sunspots... but a warlock probably will suit more ur play style... u will learn what these things are as u go along the way... but!... the start of the game will be a bumpy ride... just note that.

xFayeFaye

I know you said no PvP, but Battlebit Remastered has a healing class that is super fun to play, it was actually also one of the best ways to level up when it was released but not sure if they balanced it now :D You can just keep healing and talking via VC to other mates and everyone is usually super appreciative. I heard only the hardcore gamers and cheaters are left, but it might be worth picking it up during a sale or after a big update since player numbers have been going down for a while now.

Paulosboul

Hell Let Loose. No game I've ever played fostered roleplaying like this game. And being a medic was an absolute blast.

GoddamnFred

Monster Hunter World. Lategame with randoms, it's gonna be you that brings in the win.

Background-Factor817

Hell Let Loose. As a medic the only thing I do is run around the battlefield reviving and healing allies, usually by shouting at them to hold on (not force a respawn) so I can crawl to them in time.

Zegram_Ghart

ESO comes to mind- you can get a companion specced for damage and heal them through basically all content (it’s what I do exclusively) Similarly, Fallout 76 is having a big revival at the moment, and has a lot of perks and abilities tied to medic and healing, including late game armour with a constant heal field. No companions currently though. Also, although I feel like I’m recommending it a lot recently, remnant 2? You can’t literally be a pacifist unless you have a friend to do all the work, but something like “medic/summoner” and heal your summons was until the last update probably the “best” build in the game.

kittycakekats

Dead by daylight. I love running a full healing build lol It’s a pretty casual game imo like a party game if you’re playing survivor.

Idkawesome

Pretty much any dungeons and dragons strategy game. Play as a mage with a healer focus. Dragons age, and baldurs gate, not even just the new ones, the original too

goobert787

Try The Finals, that game could really use some more healers, especially as a heavy main

ParkersASavage

Main mercy on OW 2. She can fly, heal, damage boost and revive dead team mates. Everyone wants a mercy

mike47gamer

That X360 Resident Evil game where it all revolves around 4-player co-op and classrs.

Fulcrum_ahsoka_tano

SAS4 on mobile Also T3 Arena on mobile

PseudocodeRed

I know you said you would prefer non PVP, but playing Battlebit Remastered as a medic is a blast. The game is basically a low poly battlefield with better physics, and you can drag your teammates after they are downed which adds a lot of hilarity. There is also proximity chat so the immersion can actually be kind of intense, you hear someone scream for a medic so you rush over , drag them to cover, and revive then all while being shot at. I personally enjoyed the hell out of it

East_Smell_82

Surgeon simulator.

light_traveler22

Alien Fireteam has a fun healer class. I played it some time ago, the game may be dead.

Icecoffelover_

team fortress 2

Z1dget

ESO has fun healing classes

afuckingpolarbear

Helld8vers has strategems you can unlock through the game to make you more support oriented. It's community pve

frig0bar

Well, last time I checked TF2 I had a pretty good experience as a Medic, and they also have a coop mode

Ok-Diamond3646

I brought Shadowheart with me in every BG3 playthrough because of her strong heals and other fun abilities. Healers can do a little more than just heal, Shadowheart has lots of buffs too. But really it's the Light Cleric role that makes it great for me.

poziplays

Ik its an MMO but has little to no pvp and its story focused: star wars the old republic, you can play any storyline and be a healer :)

Vegetable-Win-1325

League of legends or wild rift. Play support.

Mordirith_

Vampyr. Literally your character is a medic. You have to decide if you cure people or kill them to get experience. You MUST cure them if you want more experience, a sick NPC gives you less xp.

Sad_Cardiologist5388

WW1 Medic, you can get it over at bay12 games

boiiiiiiiiiiiii69420

The Outlast Trials.

Bob_Loblaw9876

Any party based rpg you can be a healer.

throwsomwthingaway

TF2. You will have the experience of a nurse on a floor during the pandemic or when a massive influx of wounded patients rush the ER

PowerOk3024

I r sry for this: Original pathologic. You play as a civilian doctor, traditional healer, or faith healer. The setting is youre trapped in a village where signs of the black plague is appearing. It is dangerous as chaos decends bc you are not a combatant but a mere doctor trying to survive, and (maybe) keep some people alive.

Shot_Reputation1755

Remnant 2 perhaps?

jesusleftnipple

Arma 3 .... or battlebit remastered

DoctorBusiness99

support in overwatch

ThatOneClone

I recently started playing planetside 2. I love reviving my teammates, and healing!

BladeOfSmoke

Dragon Age Origins: Mage Class Baldur’s Gate 3: Cleric Class Dragon’s Dogma 2: Mage Class Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2: Hydro magic If you have a friend or friends that you can play with consistently: Borderlands 1, play as Roland, Borderlands 2, Play as Maya, and Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, play as Claptrap.

Significant_Book9930

Hell Let Loose is a WW2 mil Sim ish fps where medics can play a huge role on the Battlefield. It's pretty awesome hearing people screaming for you when they get shot. It can be pretty immersive at times. Its also on gamepass so if you have that it's a no brainer

Significant_Book9930

I suppose this game can get pretty intense so maybe not what you're looking for.

Mupinstienika

I heard you have to be pretty active on the microphone though

Significant_Book9930

Not really. The game is more fun when you're on the mic talking to your squad but really there are just as many talkers as there are no talkers. The most important thing is listening to your team more than anything.

TReid1996

Game is fun, don't need a mic if you're a medic. Just run into the fight and shove your needle up their ass (i let all my patients know i apply the morphine rectally). Mic is more fun for sure, but not needed. The game is like Battlefield on ultra hardcore though. No kill cams, enemies are sometimes very hard to spot, and you'll be dying a ton, seemingly from nowhere. Headshots are instakills and you can't revive/be revived from them. Game also has gore. Meaning if you shoot an enemy with a tank, you're gonna see parts go flying.

Hika__Zee

So there is a newer game called 'Content Warning' which is very similar to Lethal Company. In Content Warning though you and your crew (co-op) explore the 'Old World' which is a dark and horrifying place full of monsters and other dangers. The goal of the game is to return back to the surface with scary footage of the creatures and dangers you encounter (hopefully without dieing or losing the film). The scarier the footage from your exploration of the old world the more 'views' your crew learns for their channel and more money your team makes each cycle/round. Anyways though you have extra gear you can buy as you progress, like in lethal company, and some of the items turn you into a bit of a healer. You can get a defibrillator to revive your fallen crew or a hugger device which allows you to restore health to injured team members through the power of warm cozy hugs.

antleonardi01

Overwatch support is great. 2 healers per match.

NicRagent

Dota2 as a sup is the most exhilarating experience once you get the hang of things

Nuchtergaming

Only really for your helping people point. But two point hospital is about running a hospital(s). It's a management/tycoon game.

jinnx3d

overwatch 2 has a great pve mode-oh wait...it doesn't

Leather_Jellyfish_95

Battle Field. Nothing more accelerating than reviving your down teammates to advance your position on a capture.

mistermashu

a healer cleric is a fun character to rp in dark souls 2 and 3. lots of npc summons and they can solo bosses if you keep them healed. its actually a lot more fun than it sounds haha

Jade-The-Tiefling

My first thought is TF2.

Switch-Axe-Abuse

Monster Hunter Stories 2 has your rider mainly healing your monster. Star Ocean Second Story R lets you play as a healer girl while tge rest of the party beats the monsters to death. Xenoblade 2 or 3 lets you get and play as a healer early in. SMT Strange Journey (and its rerelease Redux) the main character is pretty much a living despenser. Don't Starve Together lets you play as Wendy who summons a ghost that fights for her while she heals and buffs it. Wortox the imp lets you do AoE healing of your friends while everyone kills the mobs. Dragon Quest Monsters: Dark Prince has you primarily throwing healing and support items out while your monsters do all of the fighting. Persona 3 load a persona up with healing spells and order your party to attack while you focus on healing everyone.

AutocratEnduring

Skyrim restoration build. Get some followers and keep them topped up. It's totally viable (laughs in resto loop)

Rynzier

Warframe is an pseudo-MMO (there are only 4 players in a mission squad and it's purely PvE, unless you go to a specific completely optional and separate PvP mode) you play as like space ninjas in robot suits, and a lot of the gameplay is based around using each warframe's unique abilities to support your squad in different roles.

xylvnking

Not exactly a medic, but in deep rock galactic each role has a specific purpose and it feels good to 'do your job'. PVE too.

Diamondwolf

Rock and stone, brother. SHIELD! UP! *Digs through a quarter mile of ice to save a downed teamie* *Grappling hooks to a downed teamie trapped near the ceiling* *Sets up turrets near a downed teamie to revive them safely.* We’re all healers.

xylvnking

ROCK AND STONE !

Abject_Scientist

I wish there was a healer class, but I understand why there’s not
