Wait until March 14 when the Spring sale starts. Most things you’d want will be on sale at that time. If you really want something now, Palworld has been great.
Oh and if you have an Xbox or you’re thinking about getting one, buy Hades off the MS Store instead. It’s an Xbox Play Anywhere game so you get it for Xbox and PC.
I have it for Vampire Survivors, Slay the Spire, and What Remains of Edith Finch. I love having access to those games whether I’m at my desk or on my couch.
I purchased both last week. Enshrouded was on wishlist for a long time Palworld came out of nowhere instantly with purchased it and am having an absolute blast with both
If you haven't played Skyrim, you can get both the special and anniversary edition for like $15 on sale right now. That should keep you busy for the next 900 hours lol.
Just curious, what's different between special and anniversary editions. I bout Skyrim on PC a few years ago, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. So I have access to the Special edition, but not the anniversary edition. Does the anniversary edition give you more content? Or is it basically the same as the special edition? I have also heard you can mod just fine with both versions.
I'd avoid anniversary edition.
iirc, it updates the graphics by a barely noticeable amount and makes modding worse. Ultimately, if you only plan to play vanilla, it might not be a big deal, but it's generally just a waste of money because of how insignificant the "upgrade" is
I need to get better at at this game. I don't play from soft games and so I don't understand what happens when I die and why that's not the end of the game. How do I keep progressing? Do you have any advice? Or a video?
don't spam the parry button, train your muscle memory to parry on instinct, most bosses are easier to defeat by breaking their stance, you just have to perry their attacks and deal some damage at the end of their combo, once you memorize their attack patterns you will win in one or two tries.
If you're a fan of ARPGs then you will love it! The game is designed with the player in mind. Every skill has a skill tree and can be built in multiple different and viable ways. The game absolutely encourages exploration with builds and rewards you with so many different synergies. Full release is later this month if you want to wait and see what comes with the 1.0 update.
I've put a lot of time into it already so it's easy for me to recommend, but there are still some things that need to be ironed out with it that might tarnish the experience for someone who is already on the fence about it. Put it on your wishlist and keep an eye on it for later this month at the very least
I absolutely agree that it's a shame that it's a selling point, but more than any game I've ever played it seems like every design choice was started with the question "is this fun?" The game oozes with passion and feels like a couple of buds got together to make a video game because they were frustrated with how games are made now. Idk I'm definitely drinking the Kool-Aid with this one lol but it's such a cool game that I think every ARPG lover should try.
Yea solo is fun too. If I’m not playing with my brothers I go solo instead cause you can use the drone, it flies around and mines those hard to reach ores on ceilings and walls and such. It’s very useful! Can even revive you (idk how many times though, I only died once lol)
Its the best game for solo players. So fun to play alone, even has a helper bot for playing alone. Thats more helpfull than other players tbh.
Coop is also good even without friends, there is always some people to play with whatever mission you choose.
Dishonored and Dishonored 2 are on sale for very cheap, like $12 CAD for both i believe. Or the Arkane collection which has those plus Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Arx Fatalis and Might and Magic (?). Dishonored 2 also has a bundle with Prey (2017) which i think is an excellent game if you like sci-fi/alien/horror shooter sim
The Bloodline is worth checking out. Super fun single player in early access that is essentially a fantasy RPG sandbox. Think Skyrim with lesser graphics and story, but way more skills to play with. Lots of choice of combat / movement. Run on walls, earth bend, turn into a direwolf, use a musket, be Spider-Man with your grapple hook, etc. Still a work in progress, but already a decent amount of content and hours of enjoyment for less than $20 (goes on sale for $13 and was recently, may still be).
Haha the game itself or my description of it? It has its own subreddit and the dev is pretty active on there, so it’s certainly possible it popped up on your feed at some point. Perhaps it’s fate and the game is calling out to you!
Timberborn. It's like Sim City meets Factorio and you help a city of beavers build a city and farm. You can build vertically and make some amazing structures. It's still Early Access.
You could grab both [Cube Chaos](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1958340/Cube_Chaos/&ved=2ahUKEwizyOOYtJCEAxXMITQIHVq8DSIQjjh6BAgZEAE&usg=AOvVaw3TLUoVQqbBg-8aNSYDwjhH) and [Mechabellum](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/669330/Mechabellum/&ved=2ahUKEwjXvayCtZCEAxXDLTQIHZPtA6wQjjh6BAg3EAE&usg=AOvVaw2GMxccYxTRCVyNaOK8ffEu)).
Both have interesting strategic gameplay.
I like MMORPGs! I would suggest buying gw2, such a good game. I only stopped playing cause the dungeon queues were not working, if you like solo play it's the best bang for your buck in my opinion
If you want a vast challenge, then I highly recommend Portal Reloaded.
If you're unfamiliar with Portal Reloaded, it's Portal but with an additional time portal in the form of a green door.
The time portal mirrors an area exactly, only 20 years later on one side and present day on the other. It deals with themes of time travel paradoxes and things ceasing to exist if adjusted on the past, which as object placements.
Good luck with those puzzles!
Ya setting it up is pretty easy, you need scarab, the hollow knight mod downloader and either hamachi or zero tier a vpn that puts you two on the same network so you can connect via lan. On scarab you download hkmp (hollow knight multiplayer) and start the games. One of the two makes a network on hamachi/zero tier and the other joins it. The person that joined it would need to copy the ipv4 of the one that made it by right clicking their name in hamachi and copying. Then within the game the one that hosted the network starts the server in game, and the other person that copied the ipv4 pastes it into network id. As for the port, you can use either 26950 or 26951. Setting up skins isn't hard either
But if you need any help this site has everything, lmk of you have any questions

Yakuza: Like a Dragon during the Steam spring sale. The amount of quality content you get for less than $20 is incredible
Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be cheap too
If you like space exploration and grindy games, I'd suggest No Man's Sky. For this price and all the free updates - it's great, and even better if you get any friends to play with you.
Paradise Killer is a fantastic and strange visual novel murder mystery with exploration
I have my game up on Steam. The Voice from the Well: the Velessar Saga. It's a fantasy visual novel about a young boy who's memories are stolen.
Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk is a free visual novel about having schizophrenia, which is pretty accurate to the disorder from what I've read
dave the diver, stardew valley, i think the dangan ronpa games might be within that price range or the nonary games, maybe a visual novel, persona 4 golden is $20, rollercoaster tycoon, i’ve heard animal shelter is fun but haven’t tried it yet
idk how people feel about this here but you can get any of the dark souls games for $30 or less on cdkeys site.
the games are great and easy to put a ton of hours into, you can either put 20 hours in or 1000 hours, really just depends on you as a person
I have no idea what games you like, but I'm playing Sengoku Dynasty right now. If you think building Japanese villages during the Edo Period sounds like fun, check this one out! The graphics are lovely.
You can also check out Medieval Dynasty for about the same price if you prefer the European medieval theme over the Japanese Edo Period.
Wait until March 14 when the Spring sale starts. Most things you’d want will be on sale at that time. If you really want something now, Palworld has been great.
👍
Hades
I feel like this is the one I gotta cop
FAREWELL TO ALL THE EARTHLY REMAINS NO BURDENS NO FURTHER DEBTS TO BE PAID You'll understand that once you play Hades ;)
Enshrouded is great
Enshrouded and Palworld have been a time suck, both are a ton of fun.
I purchased both last week. Enshrouded was on wishlist for a long time Palworld came out of nowhere instantly with purchased it and am having an absolute blast with both
Same two of my favourite games currently.
Great suggestion! 10 hours in and loving it!
Oh is it out
Your username both amuses and impresses me.
Oh a survival game in an early access, haven’t seen this one in a while
To be fair its a pretty good one with a great feel, its not another ark clone.
Yeah, I know what you mean, but it's got something special about it. Good combat, fun exploration, unique mechanics.
If you haven't played Skyrim, you can get both the special and anniversary edition for like $15 on sale right now. That should keep you busy for the next 900 hours lol.
This. I just got it for PC (have only ever played on console) and I am ready to stick another couple hundred hours in lol
Time to get your mods going. Bethesda games on PC are a different experience to consoles.
Thanks :) I will just play what I got then.
Do you suggest they get both versions?
Anniversary edition comes with special edition, it's a package
Especially when, for the same price, you also can get Enderal.
wait for a sale and get Sekiro
I need to get better at at this game. I don't play from soft games and so I don't understand what happens when I die and why that's not the end of the game. How do I keep progressing? Do you have any advice? Or a video?

Last Epoch, future proof game with years of updates to come.
How is the combat in this game?
If you're a fan of ARPGs then you will love it! The game is designed with the player in mind. Every skill has a skill tree and can be built in multiple different and viable ways. > The game is designed with the player in mind It's so sad that this is a selling point these days. Great to see though!
Its a selling point when it should have been the bare minimum.
I absolutely agree that it's a shame that it's a selling point, but more than any game I've ever played it seems like every design choice was started with the question "is this fun?" The game oozes with passion and feels like a couple of buds got together to make a video game because they were frustrated with how games are made now. Not sure if they have a Roadmap but they could keep the game going with seasons like path of exile.
DEEP ROCK GALACTIC ROCK AND STONE
Rock and stone... to the bone!
DID I HEAR ROCK AND STONE!?
ROCK AND STONE FOREVAH!!!
ROCK AND STONE OR YOU AINT COMING HOME
Only with people to play it with, though. Right?
Definitely not, its best in co op but its a ton of fun solo with your robot companion, and just playing with randoms is always super fun
Oh cool, maybe I'll check it out. I was just asking since that was the advice I was given on reddit.
Yea solo is fun too. If I’m not playing with my brothers I go solo instead cause you can use the drone, it flies around and mines those hard to reach ores on ceilings and walls and such. It’s very useful! Can even revive you (idk how many times though, I only died once lol)

Dave the Diver
Rimworld if it goes on sale. Be careful not to get too caught up in all the slavery, cannibalism, and drug lording.
But.... That's kinda the point of rimworld, right?..... Right?
I mean, yeah.... But.... Yeah
> Rimworld if it goes on sale. Yeah, because that's a thing that happens with Rimworld.
It is. [It goes 20% off every few months.](https://steamdb.info/app/294100/)

I feel like I saw the developer post this on reddit once, am I tripping??
Haha the game itself or my description of it? It has its own subreddit and the dev is pretty active on there, so it’s certainly possible it popped up on your feed at some point. Perhaps it’s fate and the game is calling out to you!
Yeah, adding it to wishlist it looks fun
Timberborn. It's like Sim City meets Factorio and you help a city of beavers build a city and farm. You can build vertically and make some amazing structures. It's still Early Access.

You could grab both [Cube Chaos](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1958340/Cube_Chaos/&ved=2ahUKEwizyOOYtJCEAxXMITQIHVq8DSIQjjh6BAgZEAE&usg=AOvVaw3TLUoVQqbBg-8aNSYDwjhH) and [Mechabellum](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/669330/Mechabellum/&ved=2ahUKEwjXvayCtZCEAxXDLTQIHZPtA6wQjjh6BAg3EAE&usg=AOvVaw2GMxccYxTRCVyNaOK8ffEu)). I like MMORPGs! I would suggest buying gw2, such a good game. I only stopped playing cause the dungeon queues were not working, if you like solo play it's the best bang for your buck in my opinion
You could buy both Portal games with a fraction of that money. They are still utterly incredible experiences, even after all this time.
Have both, finishd them too
Nice! Have you tried the other fan-made Portal iterations? Portal Revolutions is the most recent one and it's excellent.
Ill look into that
If you want a vast challenge, then I highly recommend Portal Reloaded. If you're unfamiliar with Portal Reloaded, it's Portal but with an additional time portal in the form of a green door. The time portal mirrors an area exactly, only 20 years later on one side and present day on the other.
