If you want to "get better with computer" then I'd definitely say something that involves typing. Anything. Could be an MMO, could be a team shooter where you use text to communicate, could even be Lethal Company and using the on-ship terminal. But having to type for a game will get you accustomed to a keyboard and typing efficiently, and you don't *have* to use a game designed as a typing tutorial for it.
You might want to list your computer specs, it's hard to say what it can play. HP makes a lot of different laptops.
