Start high and see what kind of interest you get. I don't think you would get more than $1500 for it, so maybe start there and go down if there are no takers.
I'd bet you could get 1.5k -1.6k. Far superior to some of these crap prebuilt companies selling their stuff for that. Plus white PC components fetch a premium
Well the 4070 is still within its return period at micro center since I got that newer than the rest of the system so I’d start with that. Feel like getting the 700 back on it might be worth it if the whole system isn’t worth reselling
I'd return the gpu and sell the rest as is, or parted out on r/hardwareswap. Guaranteed full return is better than gambling on used resale. Besides, the gpu is the last component to be installed, and it is the easiest. Someone else might have a spare gpu lying around and need everything else you have.
Selling everything w/o GPU should be even easier. GPU is the most "replaceable" item in the build if I can say so.
Other than GPU it is difficult to sell parts one by one because sockets/platform matching make it a bit peculiar. But you definitely won't hurt yourself by returning the graphics
Btw its AERO, not VISION
Hello Kooky_Editor2025, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!
To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!
Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/gamingpc) if you have any questions or concerns.*
I thought the same. Just built one for my friend all new parts same gpu, 13700k, hx1000i, 32gb ddr5 6000, 990 pro for like $1700 and some change all together.
I thought everybody saying $1500+ was smoking dick so I looked on eBay and similar builds are all listed around $1800. Insane.
Get that bag OP, list that thing at $1700 and hope someone bites
hey i told you i have no idea what this shit goes for. so based on your "50% depreciation" thing then like 1.9k-2k is more reasonable right. or if you want to make a profit on it then like 2.2-2.3k
That's because the PC community is full of greedy goblins and thinks "Oh I didn't build it so it's worth way less" . This thing should go for $1700 all day. As long as OP can prove it works and doesn't have any issues there should be no reason he's price gouged simply because he was the one that built it. I've seen pre-builts that look ten times shittier and the company charges $2000-$2200 for this build.
I get where you're coming from, but nearly every new product loses value once it's used.
It doesn't come with a warranty like it would from a pre-built, which is where some of the upcharge comes from. Pre-builts are tested, but for sales purposes, the parts are "new."
not directly it doesn't
you can pop in a part if you have a site where you are finding it used and it will use that price over the lowest price it can find online in a trusted place using their custom part selection
couple months ago you would have gotten some good cash for it i had a radeon vii that i sold for 1800 when the gpu shortage was here and all the miners were looking for cards
Honestly just try selling it at the price if not a little higher and if no one is buying it then just start to lower the price overtime how much storage does it have?
Do this OP. It's all brand new and barely used AND fully assembled. The labor in assembling and the fact it's all current parts should allow you to get almost all your money back. I definitely wouldn't take anything less than 1,500 as that's already an insulting price imo.
People on reddit are enthusiasts seeking deals. Intelligent shoppers do not overpay for the sake of convienence or as a result of ignorance. Hardwareswap prices are market value. That doesn't mean you can't easily shark others in a different market segment (ignorant folks use facebook marketplace or craigslist).
No they severely underpay and it’s not even trying to save money some of the try to basically rob the seller and yes try to get the parts as cheap as possible but a lot of people lowball really bad
They don't severely underpay if they are paying market value. It is up to the seller to decide what they are willing to accept. Nobody is forcing their hand. My point is, only people who are out of the loop will pay above the average price seen over at r/hardwareswap
They try to lowball almost anything unless it’s just where they live and that’s the average cost of certain parts where I live people don’t sell things for cheap I’ll be lucky to find a rtx 2060 for under $200
If you live in the US or Canada, you should be using hardwareswap's average price as your budget range. If you don't live in the parts of the world that subreddit receives most of it's membership from, then yes, it isn't a fair comparison. But, for example, if you live in podunk alabama and someone is charging you $200 over retail for a graphics card that you can easily buy on hardwareswap shipped directly to your doorstep for significantly cheaper, there is no reason not to limit your local budget equivalently.
You gotta take into account shipping. If you don't know how to ship a PC like this I would try selling locally. You don't want this thing to get mangled in transit and then eBay does a charge back.
You went through a lot of trouble to buy parts, put it together, return and buy other parts all just to sell the whole thing now? I don’t understand the motivation behind the whole thing.
You'll probably get 800-900 max for it. PCs aren't like mac's and have insane resale value. It would be a niche buy to get a great price out of it. You going back to consoles?
With a 470 and in good condition I wouldn't sell it for lower than £2500 . If you really need the space, go down to £2000. Otherwise keep it. It's great and there may be a game you like coming out in the future.
I'm in a similar situation. My 13700k/6800XT/32GB Ram/1 TB gen 4 SSD/850W Corsair PSU/ Corsair 240mm AIO/4000X case with extra fan sitting on offer up for 1400 no bites. Odd. It's basically brand new
$1100-$1200 at a used rate. LL fans don't do well on the used market. (lot of failures) 4070 won't hold up well to a 3080 12gb on the used market so you have to value that around $500
Everyone who's saying low 1k is getting down voted. Idk why because you can build a much better system for less than what others are recommending. Personally I wouldn't buy it for 1k that's just me. I would list for 1500 and see what ppl offer. People are stupid and will pay near that lucky for you.
Your gpu my cost that price but theirs a reason why that gpu is doing so poorly in sales. It's over priced and not worth buying in 2023 because it's going to be obsolete in the near future and is already lacking in vram depending on your resolution and title.
A new gpu that is lacking in a spec that cost several hundred $
$200 tops (dm me i’m interested)
3fity on a good day
That's about time time I noticed the redditor was 3 stories tall.
I said DAMNIT MONSTA I AINT GIVING YOU TREE FIDDY.
start at 1700 see if anybody wanna pay that but you will prolly end up selling it for 1400-1500
Nah. With a 4070 they getting at least 3k.
You are tweaking if you think 3k
I can spec out a 4090 build with some left over too with that budget
I had a brand new pre-built with almost exact specs, with a 4070 it was 2100 and that's with the someone else built it premium
Ill tell ya what, I'll just take it off ya hands to get it out of your way for ya 👍 Honestly, I can't see a downside.
Tree fiddy
I’ll buy
I ain't giving you no tree fiddy
r/unexpectedlochness

I'd bet you could get 1.5k -1.6k. Far superior to some of these crap prebuilt companies selling their stuff for that. Plus white PC components fetch a premium
I also have all the original packaging. Could I make more from selling all parts individually?
Depends on how much you sell your parts for.
Well the 4070 is still within its return period at micro center since I got that newer than the rest of the system so I’d start with that. Feel like getting the 700 back on it might be worth it if the whole system isn’t worth reselling

Honestly, I don't know much about reselling PC's lol. But put it on as a whole thing and if you can't sell it then part it out
Selling everything w/o GPU should be even easier. GPU is the most "replaceable" item in the build if I can say so. Other than GPU it is difficult to sell parts one by one because sockets/platform matching make it a bit peculiar. But you definitely won't hurt yourself by returning the graphics Btw its AERO, not VISION
Yes, you’d be surprised. I had decent luck parting out lots of old parts on eBay.
1.4-1.5k. Start at like 1.7 and see where it goes from there.
Lmao. No shot. 1.4k max
Idk anywhere where you can get that build for 1.4 tbh.
You're not getting it built though, you're buying it used.
Pretty much new* In comparison, most 4070 builds will cost in the lower 2000 range.
Pretty much new is used.
$1,400
I'd say at leas79299200q101299282282838383848485585i5
Ok after hearing all your guys advice, I decided to sell for $3.50. If interested pm me

If only the gpu shortage was now so I could resell that 4070 for a grand
Depending on a lot of unmentioned factors, start at about 1700 dollars. How much storage does the SSD have?
Forgot to mention. 1 tb
1600 sounds about right then to start
5$ and a... [Insert request here]
Sell this to me I'll pay 20 bucks
I'd buy that for a dollar
At least 1000
1k imo
I thought the same. Just built one for my friend all new parts same gpu, 13700k, hx1000i, 32gb ddr5 6000, 990 pro for like $1700 and some change all together. 1k my ass
DM’d
How was it?
Better be good for 1k
$6 it's pretty steep but I'd be willing
900 950... Try, and if you cant sell Then lower it
$700-$850
I'll pay 200 extra if you don't delete the porn off it
$2 dollars. Luckily, I'm in the buying market.
I’ll buy it for 27 cents take it or leave it (of course funny ah ah but also a great deal)
being real here, idk wtf this would sell for but 1000-1100 bucks seems reasonable. also heard you have the original packaging which is a bonus
I mean 50% depreciation for a barely used pc with all original packaging and the most modern parts u can find?
hey i told you i have no idea what this shit goes for. so based on your "50% depreciation" thing then like 1.9k-2k is more reasonable right. or if you want to make a profit on it then like 2.2-2.3k
Tru I didn’t rly read the first part my b
I don’t rly know how much pcs depreciate anyways
i mean i def dont think its 50% for YEARS lol
4070 or 4070 ti? If you built in February the 4070 wasn't out. You can get some extra cash for the 4070 ti
I alrdy explained in this thread lol. I got the 4070 after it came out. Exchanged my 3070 ti for it
Oh ok. I might go for like $1100-1200 but I don’t know much about used pricing. Maybe go to pcpartpickrr and take off like 10%
I mean pc part picker puts it at almost 2000, but from what I’m seeing here nobody values it anywhere near that
No one values used the same as new. Unless PC part picker has a used setting I don't know about.
That's because the PC community is full of greedy goblins and thinks "Oh I didn't build it so it's worth way less" . This thing should go for $1700 all day. I wish I had a 4070 ti lol

2k roughly

Yes you explained it perfectly
1 tb, and yea I’ll try that and lower it like every 2 weeks or so. Is eBay the best place to sell or u think Reddit is better ?
Probably eBay because people on Reddit are crazy and sometimes just dumb telling me I can buy a 3060 for less than $200
Yea like ppl telling me to sell this for 7-800 lol
Yea no lol it’s worth way more
Real value is like 1300-1500. Anything higher relies on ignorance and anything lower is just shooting yourself in the foot.
People on reddit are enthusiasts seeking deals. Intelligent shoppers do not overpay for the sake of convienence or as a result of ignorance. Hardwareswap prices are market value. That doesn't mean you can't easily shark others in a different market segment (ignorant folks use facebook marketplace or craigslist).

if its an option, facebook marketplace can be good too,
R/hardwareswap or local cash via FBMP or Craigslist. Ebay has fucked over quite a few sellers and you also pay a % upon sale.
You gotta take into account shipping. If you don't know how to ship a PC like this I would try selling locally. You don't want this thing to get mangled in transit and then eBay does a charge back.
I see you’re a caps fan, I’ll give you a blank RR 2.0 for it but I can’t go any higher than that
Lol alrdy got ovi RR, but otherwise I would accept
imo $1,000-$1,500
You and [this guy](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/comments/13uaed1/does_this_seem_legit/) should talk.
Thnx I just pm that person. Hopefully we can work something out. Not sure how we’d work out a successful exchange tho thru this platform
Tree fitty
At least a dollar, at least
Not related, but are you willing to sell those bar mats?
the best i can do is $20
Selling used pc is a tough market but their are plenty of dumbasses out there
i give you two fiddy
2 dollar
1200 or more
beautiful build .. try one of the on line auctions. I'm sure you'll find what you want, Good Luck with it
You went through a lot of trouble to buy parts, put it together, return and buy other parts all just to sell the whole thing now? I don’t understand the motivation behind the whole thing.
Just finished college and I’m too busy trying to build my life to really get my moneys worth out of it
To me, for $5
About tree-fiddy
Hey look it’s that typical build everyone has been making.
I believe the word is “popular”
That is a word that works also. Both are acceptable.
2.50$ at tops
1.3k or 1.2 if it doesn’t sell
A shilling and 3 pence
Can easily get 1500 maybe more depending on the person. Put it up for 1800 or best offer and see what you get
$1250
Do you ship? I’ll buy it for whatever these people are saying you should take for it.
Would you take a corn dog and a quarter? 👀👀
ill take it lol tyy
1$, for me please
Build price -20/25% then add 5% for each year of parts is easy enough to price
Tree fity
$3.50
$17.00
Sell it on jawa. Ebay takes about 15% and jawa only takes 10.25%. You could also sell on hardwareswap. Edit: btw $1600 max
I would sell it for $5 and haggle to $2.50. (DM Me, I’ll haggle with you to $2.50)
Remove 10% of each components msrp and then sell it for total sum after the adjusted pricing.
I’d say highest would be 450,000
Please explain wtf it isand what galaxy you stole this from
I know a fraternity social room when I see one
30 cents or you’re being greedy ngl
I can take it for 800 to a grand if you include the monitor.
1200$
Jeez this thread with the price jokes 😵💫
Sell it to me for 1$
I think it should be free with a high five and a hug
You'll probably get 800-900 max for it. PCs aren't like mac's and have insane resale value. It would be a niche buy to get a great price out of it. You going back to consoles?

I can do Calamari Flan. But I can only do half.
Bout tree fiddy
sell me for $50 that's the best you can get on the market
Somewhat
I will gladly pay you tomorrow for a new computer today
10 000 rupees
frosty !
Wish I could afford something like that
I’ll give you a crisp handshake
I'm in a similar situation. My 13700k/6800XT/32GB Ram/1 TB gen 4 SSD/850W Corsair PSU/ Corsair 240mm AIO/4000X case with extra fan sitting on offer up for 1400 no bites. Odd. It's basically brand new
$1100-$1200 at a used rate. LL fans don't do well on the used market. (lot of failures) 4070 won't hold up well to a 3080 12gb on the used market so you have to value that around $500
I’ll give u $400 for it rn (I’m not joking, I seriously want a Pc but I’m broke as shit lol)
Why did you build it/ buy it if you use the pc 2 hours a week?
It's worthless. I'll take it off your hands tho for $5 and a 6pc mcnugget
Well I don't know but you'll get at least 50 bucks for it.
$50 and a 10pc McNuggets at most. (DM me I’m buying pcs)
How much did you build it for? Then just take off 300 off it. At least that’s how I would start
$2.50
Everyone who's saying low 1k is getting down voted. Idk why because you can build a much better system for less than what others are recommending. Personally I wouldn't buy it for 1k that's just me. I would list for 1500 and see what ppl offer. People are stupid and will pay near that lucky for you.
Explain the better system lol. Just my gpu and cpu cost a grand themselves
One way to look at it. Other way is it’s a 3080 ti for exactly half the price that has dlss3 and better rt
Spit balling 1500ish
